[9.0] "Underrated event, in my opinion. I thought Abbey vs. Mercedes, Piper vs. Toni, and Dakota vs. Kairi were all pretty great matches, each delivering in a slightly different way. Candice vs. Baszler was decent, I was kind of expecting more and it seemed surprisingly short, but it wasn't bad. One of the better shows of the MYC."

[6.0] "This must be the most consistent episode of the tournament. The first half is downright miraculous, as Mercedes Martinez and Shayna Bazsler both have actual interesting meaningful matches, for which Abbey Laith and Candice LeRae respectively deserves tons of credits on their babyfaces performances. Then, Storm/Niven was an absolutely solid match that, once again, gave momentum to a semi-finalist. Finally, Sane/Kai was also solid, altough it did not carry the same crowd control the other three matches exhibited. The episode biggest strenght is legitimizing the 4 semi-finalists. The biggest sin of the episode is the constant cutting to Bazsler's MMA entourage and issue with NXT's Horsewomen, the awful storyline that prevents this episode of being the best. This annoying, distracting, badly-acted and above all STUPID storyline is an albatross threatening to ruin the whole tournament if they don't reign that in."

[4.0] "Mercedes Martinez -vs- Abbey Laith – (Mae Young Classic – Quarter-Final) [* 3/4] Not impressive on a technical level, but you sensed their exhaustion as it could go both ways. Martinez being the experienced of the two had one extra gear compared to Laith and won it with the fisherman’s buster. Shayna Baszler -vs- Candice LeRae – (Mae Young Classic – Quarter-Final) [* 1/2] Semi-interesting fight with LeRae landing a cool looking tope DDT and having the shooter in trouble, only to be locked in a sleeper out of nowhere for the tap. Toni Storm -vs- Piper Niven – (Mae Young Classic – Quarter-Final) [**] Alright. Niven almost had her a few times utilizing splashes, but Storm had more fighting spirit in her and kicked out of those. She then came with a turnbuckle suplex to do some heavy damage before landing the top rope legdrop for the quarter-final win. Kairi Sane -vs- Dakota Kai – (Mae Young Classic – Quarter-Final) [**] Sane continues her formula plowing through the opposition in the Mae Young Classic. Kai managed to be in control of a lot of this, but Kairi is a bigger star and goes on to the semi with her diving elbow."

Announcers totally blew a call when Candice hit the Garga-No-Escape. They have not been a plus in the last few episodes. Piper/Storm: ***3/4. Very Very good. Both of them women should get signed. Kairi/Dakota: ***1/2. Very good. 2 strong babyfaces here. Very good show. 7/10."

[7.0] "A somewhat bittersweet installment of the tournament for me personally, as two of my favorites (Storm and Sane) advanced and two (Laith and LeRae) went home. While I hadn't seen too much of her before the MYC, I was very impressed by Niven/Viper and woudn't have minded if she advanced either. I do like Martinez as a veteran presence close to the finals as well, and the post-match angle for Shayna-LeRae did a good job of making Shayna look dangerous. All in all, a solid episode with all good matches."
