[8.0] "Even though there were only 3 matches, this was a very good show. The 3 matches all exceeded expectations. Miztourage vs Jason Jordan and The Hardy Boyz wasn't the best match on the card but it still had it moments. Neville vs Tozawa happened as expected for me Neville clearly showed that he is the best of all the cruiserweights. New Day vs The Usos had many nice spots as all men involved put their bodies on the line. New Day vs The Usos once again produced a matchguide worthy match. Overall this was probably the best kickoff show I've ever watched."

[4.0] "The Miz & Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel -vs- Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy & Jason Jordan [*] Almost insultingly lazy considering it’s at SummerSlam, even if it’s on the kick-off show. Waste of a match where Miz sneaks in a steals the win. Akira Tozawa (c) -vs- Neville – (WWE Cruiserweight Title) [**] About the same quality as their other title change 6 days earlier at Raw. Nothing really to it. Basic cruiserweight action, a couple of spectacular moves, and no extra effort. Big E & Xavier Woods (c) -vs- Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso – (WWE Smackdown Tag Title) [** 1/4] I wanted to love it, but it was too slow and sloppy to get the vibe. Some cool moments though, but it was a long match by WWE standards, so those were kind of stretched out and delivered with little flow, meaning the kick-off show wasn’t a major success. Good closing minutes and double-splash!"

[7.0] "It was good kick-off. First match was solid, but it looks like ordinary weekly match. Does this pin on Jordan announce his fast end of push? (**1/2), Second match was good and I am happy that Neville is champion again, because he's great as a champion. (***). But the best match of kickoff was definietely Tag Team Match for titles. I am shocked that Usos won and in my opinion it is unnecessary and stupid, but match was very good (***1/2)"

[8.0] "Corbin's promo was good, probably his best talking segment outside of some Talking Smack bits. Shane said pretty much what he was saying for two weeks now and that's don't mess me up or I'm going to mess you up too and all of that while smiling. Jordan & The Hardy Boyz vs. The Miz & Miztourage was a fun tag team match. The interview of Ambrose and Rollins was pretty funny. Neville vs. Tozawa was a pretty good Cruiserweight championship match, expected nothing else. Some confident words from Reigns. Elias's segment was gold, simply gold. Carmella and Ellsworth on the panel were awesome. Mahal's promo was not the most original one of his but it was okay. Well, if something can make a kickoff show must-see it's certainly something like The New Day vs. The Usos, hell of a match, strongly recommended. Heyman is being Heyman and Strowman wants to be featured in Botchamania. It was a cool show in itself."

[8.0] "New Day vs. Usos was one of the best matches of the night. It didn't deserve the pre-show , absoluteley amazing , the best tag teams at the moment. Also Akira vs. Neville was ok. 6 man tag team match was... eh, filler but it was a great kick off."

[8.0] "I didn't come in until about 30 minutes before the main show because why would I? I'm sure the 6-Man was fine, same with Neville/Tozawa. Neville winning the title back is predictable and weird, but I won't judge the match as I didn't see it. The SD Tag Title match though, good LORD. Woods and Big E put in SO MUCH effort for a Pre-Show match, taking wild bumps and putting together fantastic nearfalls. Even Kofi took a nasty bump into the stairs; this match was insanity and outshined all but one match on the main card (****1/4 to ****1/2). It's insane that the close 2nd for MOTN was put out for free."
