[3.0] "Pretty bad ppv which was pretty common at the time. The opening SS tag match was fine but went way too long and featured too much Adam Bomb for my tastes. The SMW tag title match was really really good in the ring but unfortunately, the crowd didn't care which really hurt the match but I still enjoyed it. The rest of the show is bad and boring Not to mention that the Doink comedy match is one of the worst things ever"

[5.0] "wow wtfffffff. This is why I generally LOATHE survivor series ppv. Instead of feuds leading into 8 man matches organically, they scramble last minute to throw 8 men into a matches that have barely anything to do with any feuds. The doink debacle is the worst, because there actually was some kind of feud building up with doink and some of these guys, but then doink doesn't even end up being a part of the 4 doink match? I have to say the 4 doink match was captivating like how fucked up a really bad car accident is, or watching replays of the wtc buildings fall. Nobody really asked for it, nobody likes that it happened, but you're amazed that it's actually happening.and can't take your eyes off it. wow. Rikishi slipping on a banana peel? Dudes eating chicken throughout and viscera trying to drive a scooter in the middle of the ring even though the tires flatten every time he puts his weight on it. whoop there it is throughout. fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. The first match of the night was ok but macho man's involvement pissed me off quite a bit. I realize that something happened w mr perfect right before the show so they needed a replacement, but to me, they should have made macho a replacement in the main event instead of undertaker. Would have made wayyyy more sense considering his feud with crush. The match itself was good. Martel was the star in my opinion, looking great and xpac also had a good showing. Razor was good too but probably an average match considering other matches that I've seen him in. Then the 2nd match (harts vs hbk) which was a shit show considering this was supposed to be lawler instead of hbk, which pisses me off again because why the fuck is the king of the ring feuding for months with lawler to begin with? HBK did a good job though and i like pre-match him explaining why he's still wearing his old IC belt, which obviously leads to cool things in the future between him and Razor. Again, having the 3 knights was the same problem as I mentioned before. Basically the WWF has to make an 8 man match using random knights, instead of having just regular matches that make sense. Out of all 8 of the contestants in this match, only 3 of them are people anybody cares about. The match served its purpose though with starting a bret/owen feud and further portraying HBK as a shitty sport, with him running away and getting a count out. The MOTY was the HB's vs rock n roll express. We haven't seen much of either of these teams but man they are definitely fun to watch. For the main event, the first few knockouts happened pretty quickly. Macho man interfering as soon as crush enters the ring, and before you know it, crush is out of there. So, I will interrupt my recap of this match to say i REALLY HOPE there is some good feud and future matches between these two, but it would have been nice to have macho in the match instead of undertaker so we could get at least SOME kind of preview of what's to come there. And if they have nothing planned after, then they could have really ended the feud here in this match. Undertaker does basically nothing for the first half of the match, probably because he's the only one who really doesn't belong here (cough macho cough).but when he does come in, gets a huge pop. He and yoko go at it for a while until they both get counted out lol... well, if this is a preview of things to come for the next few months (i honestly do not know if it is or not), then we may get some decent main events. the crowd was really eating it up while those two were going at it. Having Borga outlast yoko was definitely a decision here, as it would have been cool to see luger get another body slam on yoko, or at least try. Luger and Borga go at it for a while and while Borga kicks out of a lot of stuff here, or no sells quite a bit, he doesn't really get a ton of offense in. Luger wins with just regular ass shit. Confetti drops and santa comes out lol. Well... I was going to rate this a 5 but i'll add a point due to the star power here. Putting macho in a match was a nice touch, even though I think he was in the wrong match. Santa Clause making a cameo lol... HBK filled in nicely for lawler and most likely the match was better because of it. Also, the doinkless doink match is something to be experienced. The tag match being my MOTN was a nice surprise and I enjoyed the main event way more than I thought I would. But then I'll subtract a point, back to a 5, because there were ZERO WWF title matches on this card. I just can't stand making 8 man matches for no reason when you could have replaced a couple of them with legit title matches. Especially considering WWF in this era only had 4 PPVs per year. The ending felt anti climactic and like nothing really was accomplished storyline-wise."

It wasn't as offensive as Mania IX, but there just wasn't anything very good on this show. The opening match was fine, though it had a flat finish. The Family Fued Tag match was way too long even if I liked the set-up for Owen's heel turn and Shawn's work in the match. The SMW Tag Titles match was the best on the show, but the crowd was silent for it. The Four Doinks match was horrifically unfunny. And, the main event was fine if unspectacular. Survivor Series 1993 was a piss poor show for the Fed in a piss poor year."

"This was fine. The Opener was MOTN followed by The Rock N Roll Express vs The Heavenly Bodies. I didn't expect Marty to last very long but he actually got the final elimination and was one of the Sole Survivors with The Kid so I was very happy. The 4 Doinks match wasn't very good. They didn't focus much on wrestling at all. The Hart Brothers match was fine but was wayyy too long. This was the start of the Owen and Bret feud so there's that. Main Event was fine but Borga shouldn't have been in as long as he was. Would have preferred Taker vs Yoko. These were also the last commentary calls by Bobby Heenan in the WWF which makes me very sad."

[7.0] "Honestly this is way under rated here. I don't know if it's because it's oops all survivor series matches or the admittedly forced USA vs the rest of the world theme the main event has, or maybe just the attrocious clown match. But I just think this card has not gotten a fair score on this site. My match of the night was the SMW tag team match which had ring work insanely ahead of it's time for WWf standards, like there were straight up moonsaults in that match, that always blow my mind seeing those in early 90s WWF. l I also thought the first survivor series match is criminally under rated here. The main event was satisfactory enough, but not amazing. I don't even need to point out that the clown match was truly abysmal and was no doubt the worst part of the whole show. Bobby Heenan on commentary is gold as usual. A couple of quotes I like was when he saw the Bear on Stu Hart's jacket and said "Oh he has a picture of Helen on his jacket." The absolute heat magnet that man was lol. Or the other one I loved was when the crappy fake snow was falling when Santa was showing up for no reason he called it "The worst case of Dandruff he's ever seen." The mans an absolute riot while also making you want to see him get his comeuppance, that's not an easy feat to pull off."

[5.0] "It had three fine matches, one decent but disappointing and one so horrible that it broke the levels of bad. First of all it's nice to see them going back to the traditional Survivor Series format with the Elimination Matches being the main attraction of the show. The opener was good and was everything you would expect from the talent involved there, while the second bout was interesting in terms of the story, but the match itself was a bit too long and dragged at times. The SMW Tag Team Titles match was also good but the crowd unfortunately wasn't into it and the next Elimination Match was something you could read books about - I've never seen something so abysmal. The main event luckily got the show back on the right tracks and delivered a decent contest with Luger and Borga having a pretty good sudden death encounter. Overall it wasn't bad, but didn't match the levels of some of the previous Survivor Series PPVs and you can't do it with something as horrible as the Doinks bollocks."

[4.0] "Team Razor vs. Team IRS was a good opener eliminations made sense and the closing stretch with Jannetty/123 Kid against Martel/Adam Bomb was really fun (7/10) Harts vs. Michaels and his knights went for way too long considering the heel team was 3 jobbers and a guy that wasn't supposed to be there wrestling was fine and had a good set up for Bret vs Owen down the line though (5/10) The tag title match was the best worked bout of the night, classic old school face/hell dynamics with some impressive athletic stuff. It did feel a bitout of place in the card with neither team being from the WWF (7/10) The four Doinks match was bad comedy at its worst (0/10) The Main event was a dull elimination match were most of the wrestlers weren't exciting in the ring and the three better guys, Rougeau and the Steiners, were the least important to the story they were telling so they couldn't do that much either (4/10)"

"Jerry Lawler being a creep forced them to change things around which led to an okay match at best between the Hart Family and Shawn Michaels. Matchups between Bret Hart and Michaels are so interesting to me, knowing what is to come with the Montreal Screwjob. The Four Doinks matchup was horrible. I enjoyed the Rock N Roll Express/Heavenly Bodies matchup."

[6.0] "Not a great show by any means but I found it an enjoyable watch. An interesting "between time" in WWE history as Hogan has left and they are pushing Luger as the next face of the company and the All American family man. Bret is also very popular and it's not hard to see why they ended up going with him. Undertaker is very over and is a nice addition to the main event. Same with Savage in the opener. Lots of big nasty heels on this show. The opening and closing SS matches are good fun. The SMW tag match is a pretty good match and bit of a novelty. The other two survivor series matches are pretty poor, although the Harts/Knights match is made enjoyable by Heenan and Ray Combs on commentary - as well as the novelty of seeing Bruce and Keith Hart in a WWE ring. Luger opens the show surrounded by his family as they emphasise that Thanksgiving is "all about family". At the end he gets the big win and as he celebrates in the ring he's joined by Santa Claus and it starts to "snow". On to Christmas."

[5.0] "It seemed like the theme of this show was every match being changed. We got none of the originally promoted survivor series matches, and there were changes in all of the matches. Coming to the match quality, the show had mostly decent matches along with one totally shitty match, which was the Four Doinks Survivor Series match. The opening Survivor Series match was the best Survivor Series match, among the four. We got a good tag team match between The Heavenly Bodies and The Rock 'n' Roll Express which ended up as the best match of the night. The other two survivor series weren't that good but overall decent. The show saw the beginning of two feuds in Bret/Owen and Undertaker/Yokozuna. Overall, a watchable show but not recommended."

[6.0] "Agreed with Mizzle Assault Ant here on this being an underrated show despite all the real-life issues surrounding it that caused the whole card to get switched around quite a lot. You got a fun opener with a surprise Macho Man's appearance, the first seed being planted in the Bret/Owen saga, an old school tag team wrestling clinic, and a hot all-star main event. Really, only the Doink stuff was shit, and that's only one out of five matches on the card so it's still fine. Not to mention, this marked Bobby Heenan's last WWF PPV appearance until the next decade as well."

[4.0] "Razor Ramon, 1-2-3 Kid, Marty Jannetty & ? Macho Man? Randy Savage vs. Irwin R. Schyster, Diesel, ? The Model? Rick Martel & Adam Bomb. IRS is the captain but they come out to Diesel? s music. Razor is the current IC champion; Mr. Perfect was injured so Ramon has replaced him with Savage. Fun way to kick off the show; the ? jobbers? survived with all of the main eventers and champions eliminated early in the match. Good action from bell to bell. ***1/2. Bret ? Hitman? Hart, ? The Rocket? Owen Hart, Bruce Hart & Keith Hart vs. Shawn Michaels, Red Knight, Blue Knight & Black Knight. This was originally Jerry Lawler? s spot but he was accused of rape so Shawn took his place. Boy, was that long and boring. Lawler? s absence killed this match as he had been mercilessly taunting the Bret Hart, his parents and then the rest of the Hart family throughout most of 1993. The fans only care about Keith and Bruce when they are kicking the shit out of Jerry Lawler so the fans quickly tired of them beating up unknown masked knights without any Lawler awaiting them in the end. The seeds for Owen? s eventual heel turn, which was supposed to be Bruce originally but Bret suggested Owen instead, were planted here and that was possibly the only positive thing to come out of this mess; possibly the lowest score ever for a match that included Shawn and Bret together. *. Rock ? n? Roll Express vs. Heavenly Bodies. Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan tag out to Gorilla Monsoon and Jim Ross for this title match; a small fracas between Heenan and Monsoon erupts on the changeover foreshadowing Gorilla ? tossing? Heenan from the WWF a month later on Raw. Good classic territory old school style tag match; too bad the WWF fans wanted absolutely nothing to do with this match. ***3/4. Men on a Mission & Bushwhackers vs. Bam Bam Bigelow, Bastion Booger & Headshrinkers. The babyfaces all have Doink the Clown facepaint and wigs on and are introduced as ? Doinks? and come out with various Doink paraphernalia i. e. , balloons, scooters and wagons. Mabel looks like he is really having fun as the fans are a bit upset with the bait-and-switch and chant ? we want Doink? . Painful. 1/2* Lex Luger, Undertaker & Steiner Brothers vs. Yokozuna, Crush, Quebecer Jacques Rougeau & Ludwig Borga. Yoko is the WWF Champion here and the Quebecers are the tag team champions. Tatanka was originally on the All-American team but Ludwig Borga ended his two year undefeated streak and Yokozuna squashed him with the Banzai Drop eliminating him from the match so the Undertaker returned and took his place. Luger then injured Quebecer Pierre Ouellet with his steel plate enhanced forearm so newly heel turned Crush replaced him. This was not the greatest main event with a lot of mistakes that seemed to occur when Borga was in there; Undertaker and Yokozuna began their anticipated title feud. *3/4."

[7.0] "Underrated show! Granted, the Bushwhackers thing is one of the dumbest things we've seen, but the rest of the card is quite enjoyable. The SMW tag match is recognized rightfully as a quality match, but actually I would say the opener and the main event are both great matches in their own right, and the genesis of the Owen Hart heel turn is also a rather significant meeting."

[5.0] "A mediocre show: not bad, not an enjoyable one either. Opening tag team match is really a gem, especially the final sequence. I didn't really enjoyed Harts vs Michaels and "knights". However it is alright in telling a story even without Lawler in a match itself. Great feud between Owen and Bret started here. Normal tag team match is very good but the fact that the best match on WWF PPV is between SMW's wrestlers is very bad. "Doinks" vs Bigelow's team is a piece of trash, I think you understand why. Main event is at least watchable and this is already great for this match. Luger's main event run finally started to ending."

[4.0] "Of the actual Survivor Series matches, the opener was by far the best in terms of actual in-ring action, though the major focus was placed on Savage's feud with Crush, who wasn't in the match. The main event also had some decent action. The other real highlight of the card was the SMW Tag Title match between the Rock N Roll Express and the Heavenly Bodies that served as a fine example of old-school tag team rasslin' that unfortunately the crowd didn't get behind much. Lots of big names throughout the show, but the end result was somewhat lackluster."

[5.0] "The best match of the event is the opening one, with a solid Team Razor Ramon vs Team IRS, well booked and entertaining. Team Hart vs Team Michaels is disappointing because it missed the heat of the feud with Jerry Lawler and there are some 'boring' chants. The main event was hyped and delivers a bit of entertainment, not being a great match, easy to predict. The match for the SMW titles is good, the other 4 vs 4 terrible."

[3.0] "A very peculiar show, as were a lot of Survivor Series'. It's just not a match format you want to see four times in one night. The first Survivor Series match is easily the most watchable and should have been built to be the main event. The Hart Family match is pretty bad, Bruce and Keith were only passable but Shawn Michaels' knights really add nothing, this match was just there to build Owen v Bret at Wrestlemania 10. You then had a strange interlude of a Smoky Mountain Wrestling tag team title match, which the crowd didn't really get into, but it was okay. Then a third Survivor Series match featuring Men On A Mission, The Bushwhackers, The Headshrinkers AND Bastion Booger unsurprisingly stunk the place out. The main event was the good ol' US of A versus Those Damn Foreigners. Team USA being Undertaker, Lex Luger & The Steiners with Yokozuna, Crush, Jacques & Ludvig Borga representing the rest of the world. This match was completely forgettable with an of course very embarrassing and dated premise"
