[5.0] "First Smackdown I've watched in ages. Hear it was good compared to the usual product. Had to check it out so I could see the rise of Nakamura in WWE! And I was so happy he got to look so impressively against John Cena. Good TV bout too, even if Cena showed how broken down he really is taking that neck bump. The opener with Styles/Owens was solid too, but nothing truly amazing. Cool to see the USO's displaying some charisma too. Overall a okay show."

[9.0] "One of the best SmackDown since the brand split, with the three main matchs worth of PPV. Owens vs. Styles was not their best but you can't go wrong with them. Rusev vs. Gable was a huge breakout match for Gable, showing his skills and dominating for must of the match a much bigger Rusev, despite losing at the end. He was impressive though. And the "dream match" was a bit too hyped by WWE but at the end, it delivered. 12 minutes of war, both exchanging heavy blows and finishers. And - cherry on top - Cena lost clean... on TV! Even the fillers were good with a surprise win of English and a cool new maneuver from Naomi. Excellent show!"

[8.0] "This was a very solid event that helped set the card for Summerslam. Styles vs Owens had another good performance leading up to Summerslam. The ending of their matches lately seem dumb but are actually brilliant. Neither one of the superstars is getting buried, with that being said Styles and Owens seem to be heading towards a great and climatic showdown at Summerslam. One of the things I have HATED about Smackdown lately is the mis use of Sami Zayn. Sami Zayn should be in major feuds against competitors capabale of performing in great matches, instead Zayn lost to Aiden English this week. The women's tag match was decent at best, aside from the ending, this match pretty much sucked to be honest. Gable vs Rusev was a good match that displayed Gables abilities and impressive strength but still showed that Rusev is a force to be reckoned with. Lastly, the #1 contendership for the WWE Championship match between Nakamura and Cena was good, but not as good as it could've been. However I do agree with putting Nakamura clean, and the match was entertaining and had a dream match feel to it. Overall, this was a solid wrestling show."

[8.0] "A great main event with an unexpected (and clean) conclusion, a good US title match which set up a Summerslam match, an excellent Gable vs Rusev match which benefited both men made for a great couple of hours of Smackdown. Terrible positioning of ads and a puzzling clean job by Sami Zayn to Aiden English were the negatives in an otherwise great show. Worth a watch."

[8.0] "A very solid show with some very good matches in KO vs. AJ, Gable vs. Rusev, and a historic main event in Nakamura vs. Cena. Also included my man Aiden English getting a win, and a hilarious Fashion Files skit."

[8.0] "Damn good show. The show opened with the best Styles and Owens match yet. It was so much better than the other two and actually did a good job building up the story to Summerslam. Very surprised English won but Sami sucks so I am happy with that. Tag match was nothing. More multi woman matches like usual. Rusev Vs Gable was a match I never thought I wanted. It was very good and even Rusev won Gable looked like an all star. Shinsuke Vs Cena stole the show of course. This match was easily Cena's best match since 2013. Awesome stuff by both guys."

[8.0] "SmackDown! Live: Sorry About Battleground, Episode 2. I doubt the quality will continue past this point, but here's hoping. Opening video package made the show feel like a PPV - love it. Styles/Owens was much better than Battleground; would say it's probably their 2nd best match, behind the Backlash one. However, I can't say I'm anything other than disappointed by yet another dirty finish, another rematch at SSlam, and another guaranteed dirty finish when it happens. Middle of the show was nothing special but pretty inoffensive, it was just there. Gable/Rusev was great stuff that actually got Gable somewhat over by the end of it, Rusev definitely made him look great. Orton/Rusev reeks of "we don't have anything else for you guys", but I'm willing to tag along with the hope that Rusev wins. Cena/Nakamura was pretty good and ended clean, which is nice, that exploder bump though. Overall, the 3 main matches make this show great fun and outweigh the average middle."

[9.0] "The show opens with a really good AJ-KO bout that is only slightly worse than their Backlash 2017 match, the aftermath was a great backstage segment and Summerslam announcement. Down Since... Day One Ish! The Usos with a new theme and another great promo on The New Day. Fashion Peaks are love, Breezango are life. The performance by English was outstanding, the outcome of his short match vs. Sami was interesting, I'm actually curious about this cross-passing of the Dillinger-English and Zayn-'Power of Love' feuds and where it'll go. Women's tag team match was fun, it was clean, the submission sequence was nicely done, the crowd loved the match, I loved the match. Confident promo from Mahal. Rusev vs. Gable was an awesome wrestling (and that's the underlined word) match, the aftermath was a great in-ring segment. The main event was riding on a hype train and pretty much delivered. Awesome episode."
