[7.0] "Right off the bat, it's time for the Stars and Stripes Challenge, and in the blink of an eye, the league has a new top babyface in Lex Luger. This is certainly memorable and a fast-paced plot twist. The Kid pulls off another surprise upset, and it's actually not a bad match at all. Next up is another early vignette featuring Men On A Mission, and Oscar already coming across as a cheap Tone Loc knockoff. Bigelow takes down Joey Maggs, while Heenan spreads the rumor that Tatanka made a move on Luna. Voluntarily. Samu isn't quite on the Undertaker's level, but the match is certainly solid enough for RAW in 1993. In an interview, Mr. Fuji insists that Luger only performed a hip toss on his Yoko, not a slam. Opinions differ on this, but Luger has challenged the Samoan already. And Crush follows suit. Perfect wraps up this memorable show with a classic squash. Here, they're clearly heading toward Summerslam, and they're doing so with highly respectable means."

[7.0] "I liked the "who can slam yokozuna" contest and how patriotic it was supposed to be. It cemented Yokozuna as a worthy champion and also pushed Luger to be the next hogan and a worthy challenger. But really this pisses me off more about Luger's result at the KOTR tourney. If they're going to push him to be the main guy then his KOTR match shouldn't have ended like it did. I love the USA stuff too. Best match on the card on this raw was the 123 kid. Him winning against another big man was cool to see. Nowadays a guy like him would be introduced against guys his size only. I can totally see why people my age loved 123 kid when we were younger. I didn't pay attention at the time, but I get it now. That was a fun match all around. Matching up bam bam with Luna seems like a match made in heaven. I love Luna! Nice to see undertaker on Raw even though the match wasn't great. Mr perfect match wasn't even worth watching. There was a rap segment with three guys and one of the guys in the background was Viscera. I totally forgot about that guy."

[5.0] "Raw #24 opens with a cringe-inducing celebration aboard a WWII ship, with a ridiculous "who can body slam Yokozuna" contest. Wrestlers yell cheap insults at a Samoan-American playing a Japanese heel, and the whole thing reeks of cheap sleazy nationalism. Ten minutes completely wasted on a flag-waving bullshit. Fortunately, The 1-2-3 Kid vs. Blake Beverly redeems with a great underdog performance. Beverly dominates for most of the match, taunting the crowd and treating Kid like a joke, but Kid's awkward schoolboy charm wins them over and earns him a hard-fought victory. Men on a Mission debut with an crazy corny hip-hop promo--ridiculous, but fun in that early-'90s way. Bam Bam Bigelow crushes Joey Maggs in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it squash that, while pointless, is at least mercifully short. Undertaker vs. Samu ends up being one of Taker's better matches of the year. He looks drained without Paul Bearer and the urn, but still delivers a solid, gritty win. The night wraps with Mr. Perfect vs. Brian Costello, another 30-second throwaway match made memorable only by Perfect placing ABC gum on some poor woman face for the second time."

[6.0] "I think this was actually a quite solid RAW for the time. The most well known part of this RAW opens the show as we see the highlights from the USS Intrepid which leads to Lex Luger turning face as he is able to slam Yokozuna. Both the matches with some length were actually good here this time; with the opening match between 1-2-3 Kid and Blake Beverly being my favourite. The squash matches were both fine but if I had to choose a least favourite I would say the one for Bam Bam Bigelow. Men on a Mission got a vignette here, so they are on the way; the vignette wasn't bad but I know what's coming. Luna Vachon hyping up Bam Bam was kinda meh to me. Mr. Fuji is at ringside with Yokozuna as we end up with a title match set for nest week, as Yoko defends against Crush; answering a challenge that Fuji put out."

[7.0] "This was a very good episode of RAW. The 1-2-3 Kid won another match as he keeps establishing himself as a member of the WWF roster, The Undertaker made his return and beat Samu, the squashes were kept short & sweet, and we got a WWF Championship match set for next week. Good stuff."

[6.0] "Ordentliche Raw-Episode! Zu Beginn steht der Rückblick auf die vor Patriotismus nur so triefende Bodyslam-Challenge statt bei der Lex Luger es schafft Yokozuna auf die Matte zu befördern. Das erste Match zwischen 1-2-3 Kid und Beverly gefällt mir ziemlich gut (***). Ansonsten gibt es noch zwei Squash-Matches und das ebenfalls sehr ordentliche Aufeinandertreffen des Undertakers und Sami (**1/2)."

[7.0] "A good episode of RAW. The Yokozuna Bodyslam challenge footage was quite enjoyable to watch and it was a good way to garner the fans' support for Lex Luger. We got two decent matches in The Kid/Blake and Undertaker/Samu. We also got Yokozuna/Crush set up for next week. Even though Crush has lost a lot of momentum, it should be an interesting clash of styles."

[7.0] "A good edition of Monday Night RAW. I quite liked the Yokozuna Bodyslam Challenge, pretty fun segment. Kid/Blake was a good match that was given a longer time than expected, and UT/Samu was fine enough. Yoko/Crush being set up for next week which should be interesting."

[4.0] "Nach der Stars and Stripes Challenge und dem Start des Lex Express hatte ich Bock auf diese Ausgabe, da ich sehen wollte, wie man es fortführt. Naja Luger ist leider nicht aufgetaucht, was schade ist. Ansonsten war die Ausgabe okay, nichts spektakuläres. Der Opener und die Promo von Mr. Fuji waren ganz nett, sonst ist allerdings eher wenig passiert."

[8.0] "The Luger/Yokozuna slam segment was super well done, very effective start to the angle. Kid/Beverly was actually a great little match, and Samu/Taker was solid as well. Enjoyed this episode a lot!"

[4.0] "Not really that bad, with two decent matches but also two squashes where again, early raws end with a squash main event cause they don't know how to end the show with something compelling. Also men on a mission vignette"

[5.0] "Untypical episode. Replay of Yokozuna body slam challenge took third part of the show. There are also two okay matches: Kid vs Beverlie and Undertaker vs Samuel. Except for that there are only squashes and Yokozuna's promo."

[6.0] "Fand die ganze Recap der Bodyslam Challenge eigentlich ganz lustig. War irgendwie komisch, dass Luger der Held geworden ist, aber okay? ^^. Beim 1-2-3 Kid bin ich immer wieder beeindruckt, wie sehr die Leute auf ihn abgehen. Ein weiterer Sieg für den Underdog ging klar. Bam Bam zerstört und der Taker schlägt Samu? passiert. Crush gg. Yokuzuna könnte schon ganz nett werden. Klar wird der Mann aus Hawaii nichts holen, aber die Aufbaupromo kam schon gut an. Perfekt, danach noch mit einem schnellen Sieg und eine ordentliche, aber nicht besonders erinnerungswürdige Ausgabe ging zuende (5 Punkte)"

[5.0] "Die Rob Gronkowskis und WWF-Wrestler der 1993er versuchen Yokozuna zu slammen. Ist bis heute nicht geklärt, ob Yokozuna daran Spaß hatte, dass ihm binnen kürzester Zeit diverse Herren in den Schritt gegriffen haben. Typischer US-Event. Erst Hymen spielen, dann den bösen Pseudo-Japaner slammen. Für so einen Event kann man auch mal Heel-Luger bejubeln. Dass eine nationalistische Promo einen Face präsentiert, gibt’s auch nur in den Staaten. Der Vorgänger der Tribute to the Troops. Richtiges Wrestling gibt’s bei RAW #24 aber auch. 1-2-3 Kid traut sich wieder in die Halle und zeigt für damalige Verhältnisse wirklich ordentliche High Flyer-Action. Der jüngere Beverly-Bruder muss sich nach einem Top Rope Leg Drop gschlagen geben. Ganz ordentliches Match und von der Offensive Kids damals wirklich eine Seltenheit. Geile 90er-Promo für Men On A Mission. Herrlich den späteren Viscara dort als King Mabel zu sehen. Bam Bam wird nicht pro Minute bezahlt und hämmert Maggs unter eine Minute auf die Matte. Luna hat immer noch dieses Kratzen im Hals. Nettes Duo in jedem Fall. Undertaker Matches bei RAW waren schon damals nicht die Regel und so schafft es der Deadman direkt ein Big Time-Feeling aufzubauen. Das Match dann auch enger geführt als man es unbedingt erwartet hätte. Der Zombie Sit Up als Konter ist super, Chokeslam und Tombstone als Finish das doppelte Taker-Programm. Solides Ding – im damaligen Maßstab. Mr. Fuji darf unter USA-Rufen mal wieder Vince ins Mikrofon sabbeln. Wieder muss das Duo also eine Fehde bei RAW tragen. Crush fühlt sich aber berufen, diese zu stören und klopf Luger verbal auf den Rücken. Mr. Perfect klopft dann Brian Costello durch den Ring und der Ref nach kürzester Zeit drei Mal auf den Ringboden. Buntes Programm, aber mir gefielen nur die Matches von Kid und Taker, knapp über ausreichend."

[6.0] "Das Angle mit Yokozuna auf der USS Intrepid ist ein absolutes Meisterstück gewesen. Da ist der ganze Kitsch und Patriotismus so perfekt in Szene gesetzt, dass ich davor heute noch den Hut ziehen muss. Luger rettet den Tag und spricht leider dabei, was ihn nicht gut aussehen lässt, denn da war zu deutlich, wie wenig Motivation in ihm steckte. Kid vs. Blake Beverly war recht schwach, denn Beverly kann nichts mit der "modernen" Offensive von Kid anfangen und einen Kid, der 6 Minuten nur verkauft, ist jetzt nicht so geil. Bigelow legt ein perfektes Squash Match hin wie ich fand. Dann wirds wirklich sehr merkwürdig. Random Taker vs. Samu Match. Sie wrestlen, Taker versäbelt einen Leapfrog und landet in Samus Nacken. Dann folgt Taker mit einem Drop Toe Hold. Nach weiteren Wrestlingmoves, die mich einfach nur verblüfften, weil sie passierten, siegt natürlich der Taker. Mr. Perfect macht den Abschluß mit einem ebenfals sehr schnellen Squash Sieg. Vince zieht erneut Yoko und Fuji durch ein Interview und tut dies auf eine fantastische Art und Weise. Dem folgt dann die Herausforderung von Crush an Yoko. Crush war echt richtig mies in Sachen reden."

[7.0] "Schöne RAW-Ausgabe. Die Lex Luger vs. Yokozuna-Sache wurde wirklich gut in Szene gesetzt, das fällt auch einundzwanzig Jahre später noch auf. Kid gegen Blake Beverly und Samu gegen den Undertaker waren coole Matches. Bobby Heenan spielt lustigerweise am Rande darauf an, dass der 1-2-3-Kid zu dem Zeitpunkt keine Augenbrauen mehr hatte, weil diese ihm abrasiert wurden, wovon auch die Hasbro Figur vom 1-2-3-Kid ein lustiges "Zeugnis" ist."

[10.0] "Ein Großteil der Zeit wird darauf verwendet, die Szenen vom Yokozuna-Slamwettbewerb und dem damit verbundenen Faceturn Lex Lugers zu zeigen. Das ist auch sehr gut so, denn die Story war damals wirklich mitreißend und auch neuartig, obgleich die Wrestlinggeschichte bereits zu dieser Zeit reich an Geschichten war, die den durchschnittlichen Amerikaner ganz tief an seiner patriotischen Seele packen sollten. Hier ist das zum wiederholten Male sehr gut gelungen, auch wenn es zum Schluss nicht gut zu Ende gebracht werden sollte. Mit 1-2-3 Kid vs. Blake Beverly und Undertaker vs. Samu hat man auch noch zwei gute Matches auf dem Programm des Abends. Das "Beast from the East" wird als solches gut gepusht, indem es einen Jobber zerstören darf. Ebenso wird auch das Match zwischen Yokozuna und Crush in der kommenden Woche gehypt. Zuletzt kann ich mir auch etwas schlechteres als Mr. Perfect im Main Event vorstellen. Alles in allem eine hervorragende Raw-Ausgabe!"
