[8.0] "Good show. There were lots of average matches and a few solid matches. The main event was pretty good."

[10.0] "Awesome show ! What a great way to end NJPW shows in the US ! 2 semi finals were great especially ishii/zsj match just spectacular. LIJ tag was very fun and entertaining. JR tag was another great match from bucks/RPG. Chaos/Bullet club was another fun match with good comedy. ME was phenomenal on the same level with their Dontaku match. Kenny's post match promo was very passionate and enthusiastic. Only downside the ic title match but it was pretty okay not bad. Overall great show hope they continue to deliver in the US."

[9.0] "The highs where higher and the low was lower . Really the only low was The Club vs. Chaos . When they actually got to wrestling it wasn't bad but I had been turned off long before that . Crowd was much more annoying and unfortunately the wrestlers played into it . The show featured 2 excellent matches along with others that where very good to great . Even the Intercontinental Title match was decent . Gunn , who was no great shakes in his prime , was carried in a display of the true greatness of Tanahashi . The real elite workers can camouflage an inferior opponents weaknesses and still puil an entertaining match out of them . Jay Lethal vs. Kenny Omega and Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, EVIL, Hiromu Takahashi, SANADA & Tetsuya Naito) vs. Dragon Lee, Jay White, Juice Robinson, Titan & Volador Jr. where very strong matches and Tomohiro Ishii vs. Zack Sabre Jr. was excellent . My top match was Kenny Omega vs. Tomohiro Ishii ."

[6.0] "Not as good as the first day of New Japan’s first US tour, mainly because I didn’t get into the big matches as much as I did from the previous day. Wasn’t for the lack of trying. The commentating was bad too, as it seemed they had read the bashing they received from the internet crowd and kept half the time apologizing from getting irrelevant things wrong, getting increasingly demotivated in the process. Jim Ross getting his hipster food wrong only helped make the standard action match more entertaining! Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) -vs- Billy Gunn – (IWGP Intercontinental Title) [**] Tanahashi giving Gunn a lot of time to do his thing, which was a lot of old school stalling and posing to the crowd. Wasn’t exactly the best thing for the match, but it was fun to see something a little different, relaxing the crowd before the exhausting main event, an American-flavored match without the need to show-off. Speaking of showing, we did see Tanahashi’s bare ass. Kenny Omega -vs- Tomohiro Ishii – (IWGP US Title Tournament – Final) [***] Not the epic I was expecting based off the hype. Omega looks sloppy as a result of being banged-up and the pace was clearly set to go long, but not really doing much different than they would in a 15-min match. No doubt a good match with some real nice blows connecting. But Omega was so tired (wrong kind of tired) for this to become the massive impact he wanted it to be."

[9.0] "Taguchi Japan vs. Yoshi-Boyz (**) - Omega vs. Lethal (***1/2) - Ishii vs. Sabre Jr. (****) - LIJ vs. Juice & Co (***3/4) - BC vs. Hosses (**) - Bucks vs. Roppongi Vice (****) - BC vs. Chaos (***1/4) - Ace vs. Ass (***) - Ishii vs. Omega (****1/2) Solid show, better than Night 1 in my opinion and some great stuff thrown in with the Jr. Tag match being brilliant for Trent's sendoff from the juniors. I also got to see Tanahashi's ass so you know, certainly something. I thought NJPW really did well for their first US shows with a great ending to it, cannot wait for the G1."

[9.0] "Coming off a strong first half to their US debut, New Japan slightly topped themselves with the second night. The Omega-Ishii match to crown the first IWGP US Champion was nothing short of excellent, the tournament semi-finals matches were also very strong, and the Jr. Heavyweight Tag Title match was another good match between the Bucks and RPG Vice in what turned out to be the latter team's farewell as a unit. A strong show throughout, and overall NJPW's expansion to the US market has to be considered a resounding success."

[8.0] "NJPW's first real venture to the west was quite a successful one, but the sentiment Omega had at the end is one I surely agree with; it has to be bigger next year. Not the event itself mind you but the venue. Those 2000 in attendance made for a great atmosphere, imagine if there were 18000 more. I think they could have pulled it off with a bigger arena, The card itself was very good, and everything pointing to the awesome main event of night two helped raise the show above and beyond. The only objectively bad thing about this night was the Tanahashi vs Billy Gunn match (* 1/4), with Tana really showing he desperately needs to step down for surgery and Gunn having to carry the match, and not really doing a very good job of it. The tight pull down spots weren't clever they were cringy. That one blemish aside (and the fact I really can't get into throw away multi-man tag matches) the show was a great expedition into the United States, and tops the prior night by a bit more then a pinch."

[9.0] "The opener was solid stuff that got these 6 on the card (**3/4). Omega vs Lethal was a very good tournament style match where Kenny took advantage of Jay's injuries from previous matches and capitalized, despite Lethal fighting back (***1/2). Ishii vs ZSJ was a unique matchup but it delivered; Zack tried to take it to Ishii out of some sort of cockiness and got drilled for it, as Ishii's toughness allowed him to fight out of each submission predicament and eventually ragdoll the British twink into a Brainbuster (****). CMLL/Juice/White vs LIJ was another very fun LIJ tag; everybody did something but not everybody did a lot, and I noticed that the Dragon Lee/Hiromu sequence was the same as Night 1's, but overall this was very good (***1/2). BC vs War Machine & Elgin was a standard trios match with some BIG MEN involved (***). Bucks vs RPG Vice was positioned as something of an epic, which makes sense given the post-match; a lot of Bucks antics didn't click so much with me here even in a serious context, but they put in good performances, as did Rocky while Trent once again was fantastic here; the Super Meltzer Driver to the outside was a wild spot in tribute to Herbert Meltzer (***3/4). Trent's farewell to Rocky and moving up to Heavy was a great segment. BC vs CHAOS/Briscoes was a fine match, mostly heavy on character work and Cody being a total heel (***1/4). Tana vs Gunn went about as well as it could've; they did spots and Billy worked Tana's arm and they exposed each other's asses to the hard cam before doing Suck It spots and a finish (**1/2). Omega vs Ishii III was absolutely their best meeting together; their chemistry is immaculate, and the escalation both within the match and with their last two matches in mind was pitch-perfect; Ishii biting the ropes is one of the best spots of 2017 (****1/2 to ****3/4). An even better show than the first and a great end to NJPW's first US tour."

[8.0] "My Notes: Opener: **1/2. Rare case where a NJ Undercard match gets too much time, as opposed to not enough. Crowd seems tired, like they're hungover from Last night. Omega/Lethal: ***1/2. Took a while for the crowd to like this. By the end it was very good. Sabre/Ishii: ****. Great match. Ten man tag: ***1/2. Really good. Absolutely great when Lee & Takahashi were in together. Six man Tag: ***1/2. Really good. Surprised by the result. JR Tag Title Match: ****1/2. This was absolutely a Video Game match. And it was Fantastic. 8 Man: ***1/4. A bit too silly. IC Title Match: **3/4. Not too bad at all. Billy Gunn doesn't need to be doing high profile matches anymore. Main Event: ****1/2. Absolutely great. Great Show."

[10.0] "Team Liger vs. Team Yoshitatsu was a fun opener (***1/4), Lethal/Omega was really good, very action packed & a super strong performance by Lethal (***1/2), Ishii/ZSJ was my MOTN - just a terrific styles clash w/ both parties playing their roles perfectly (****1/4), Team Dragon Lee vs. LIJ was another super fun match - Dragon Lee & Hiromu killed it once again when they were in there together (***1/2), Bullet Club vs. Elgin & War Machine was OK; definitely better than the G. O. D. vs. War Machine 2-on-2 match from the previous night (**), Bucks vs. RPG Vice was really good - not as amazing as their Dominion classic, but still borderline great & the post-match stuff w/ RPG Vice parting ways was legitimately emotional (***3/4), BC vs. CHAOS & The Briscoes was really good - everybody got their stuff in & it was very enjoyable (***1/2), I also really enjoyed Tanahashi/Gunn - very simple match w/ Gunn on top for the most of it, Tanahashi was great as always & Billy definitely brought it (***1/2), Omega/Ishii was a really good main event - I did think they went a tad bit too long, but the action was still really good from start to finish; Ishii is just amazing (***3/4). Overall this was such an awesome show. Even better than Night 1."

[9.0] "Didn't think it would be possible but the second day was better than the first. The opening tag was alright but nothing harmful, ***. Kenny and Lethal surprisingly had great chemistry together putting on quite a fun match, ****. Ishii and Zack had even BETTER chemistry considering they have such different styles of wrestling, ****1/4. LIJ/Juice tag was really fun especially when Hiromu and D Lee clashed yet again, ***3/4. BC vs hosses was alright but nothing special, ***1/4. Bucks vs RPG was fantastic, but my only gripe with the match is the excessive amounts of finisher kick outs so points off for that, ****1/2. Really didn't like BC vs CHAOS because Cody turned it into a comedy fest, **. The IC title match was not as bad as I thought and that shot of the Aces Ass was great, ***1/2. The Kenny vs Ishii main event was the perfect way to introduce a new title into the world and probably their best match ever, *****."

[9.0] "Another amazing show for NJPW to cap off the US tour. Opening tag was decent **1/2. Omega/Lethal was awesome. While they're two great workers, for some reason I didn't think they'd have chemistry but they did and put on a fantastic match ****1/4. ZSJ/Ishii was awesome as well. As brutal as I'd hoped. These guys jelled so well ****. LIJ 10 man was a ton of fun. All the interactions were great, especially Lee/Hiromu ***3/4. BC/Elgin Machine was a fun match to lead into intermission ***1/2. Bucks/RPG was absolutely incredible. An amazing match with phenomenal storytelling. If you say The Bucks have no psychology still you're just an idiot ****1/2. CHAOS/BC was super fun. The first half of it barely had wrestling but it was great. They ha stage crowd super into it, Cody works a crowd so well ***1/2. Tana/Gunn was meh but the crowd made it fun to watch **. Omega/Ishii III was fucking epic and amazingly topped their previous matches. This was just amazing in every aspect. Built up so well to an insane final 10 minutes. Match of the weekend which was no easy feat *****. Another fantastic show by NJPW"
