[5.0] "My rating for Survivor Series 1992, it's a 5/10 an event that was full of matches that could've been something better and ended up being something of the era, this was the time the business was going down and also taking out the Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart, the other matches down make me want to rewatch it, but anyway it's a 5/10"

[5.0] "A pretty weak show outside of the main event and only having one Survivor Series match was disappointing as well. The Nightstick Match was ok for what it was but outside of the tag match with Macho Man & Mr. Perfect and the Casket Match nothing really stood out as memorable. 3 stars at best."

[6.0] "This event was better than I remembered, mostly due to the Flair/Razor Vs. Savage/Hennig match. Bret Vs. HBK was a bit of a letdown to me, as I don't think it was nearly as good as Meltzer did. The last Golden Era Survivor Series, which saddens me, but with Hogan pretty much gone, it was time to change things up here. Still not sure Bret was the right guy for the champ (would have much preferred Santana honestly), but it worked as best it could and brought the New Generation to the forefront. Decent event, but glaring issues."

[4.0] "Poor show. The opener was a fairly decent match that served its purpose of introducing The Headshrinkers. Nailz vs Boss Man was bound to be awful but atleast it was short. This would thankfully be one of Nailz's last matches in the WWF. Tatanka vs Martel was long and boring. Perfect & Savage vs Flair and Razor was really good although the finish was kinda disappointing. It was quite interesting to see Perfect as a face in the WWF. Yokozuna vs Virgil was the usual 90s WWF squash match that served its purpose well. The SVS elimination match was average at best and didn't really have anything going for it. Taker vs Kamala was really short and the action was very sloppy. And the main event saved this show from being a total clusterfuck, with Shawn Michaels proving that he can hang with the big boys in the main event and Bret adding another classic to his gigantic collection. A poor show to cap off the great year of 1992, just watch the main event and Perfect/Savage vs Flair/Razor if you're interested."

[6.0] "This only barely made it to a positive rating for me, and largely thanks to the main event, as the bulk of the show is very mediocre. Unlike previous installments of Survivor Series where I felt that they relied too heavily on the elimination tags, this year they were barely a feature at all. There was only one Survivor Series match, and it came across as very tacked on and inconsequential. While I think prior Survivor Series struggled from a sense of redundancy due to having too many elimination tags, I am still a fan of the stipulation and do prefer when it receives some spotlight instead of getting a show that may as well be any other PPV - it's just getting the balance right that's the key, and this show went too far in the opposite direction. Most of the matches are fine, and entertaining on some level (even if they are very basic), but there's not a lot here that truly stands out. Luckily, the main event is a really good title match. It's not quite the best that the two were capable of, largely thanks to Shawn's inexperience in a main event singles roles, but all things considered it's still a strong main event, and at the very least noteworthy from a historical perspective. While the card does seem pretty thin (the show is only 2 1/2 hours) and does struggle from feeling a bit uneventful, there's probably just barely enough of substance here to make it a worthwhile watch for fans who have an interest in this era of wrestling. For everybody else, however, you're not missing a whole lot if you don't bother checking this show out."

[6.0] "Survivor Series 1992 was a solid show, just some missteps off from being a really good show. The second WWF PPV where the best match on the show has been the main event; funnily enough the common thread being Bret Hart in both matches. This show is known for a few things: the debut of Yokozuna, the bad Nightstick on a Pole match, the first ever Casket Match, and the return to the ring of Mr. Perfect. It was great to see Mr. Perfect getting back in the ring here; he's become a favourite on this big wrestling watch-through. I was also happy that this was the last televised Nailz match in the WWF; although I wasn't happy with the match itself. I'm happy that Survivor Series this time wasn't fully loaded with the namesake match type; it's hard to watch a whole show around one match type."

[5.0] "The best thing I can say about this Survivor Series is that it is a very consistent event. It's not a show that I consider to have much in terms of true highlights, but there's nothing really bad about it, either. Even this event's worst matches are still serviceable enough to not want to make you turn it off. From bell to bell, this is an enjoyable show to watch. You probably just will be expecting a bit more than you get when all is said and done. While the show might not have been the home run the WWF wanted for Bret's first PPV on top of the mountain, I certainly think it was good enough to show that the new crop of stars the WWF was producing at the time along with some old favorites that were still going pretty strong were good enough to keep the ship surging forward."

[6.0] "It was alright mainly due to two great matches and a few decent ones. First of all Flair & Ramon vs Savage & Perfect was fantastic and it was nice to see how much attention was put on Hennig there. Secondly the main event was another brilliant Bret match with Michaels' beautiful work as a heel where they didn't waste no time with the 25 minutes that were given to them. The opener was also okay with some quick action to start the show and Yokozuna's first PPV match was really impressive. Other than that there was nothing horrible, maybe apart from Martel's bout with Tatanka, and overall it was a pleasant show to watch."

[4.0] "Survivor Series keeps being rough to watch. Headshrinkers vs High Energy is solid, with Owen shining but not particularly interesting (5/10) Bossman tried to get something good out of Nailz and the nightstick on a pole gimmick but theres a limit to how much he can do at least its short (2/10) Tatanka vs Martel is skippable, nothing bad but nothing eye catching either apart maybe from Doink showing up (4/10) Perfect/Savage vs Razor/Flair is fine, good wrestling from everyone with a flat finish a bit dissapointing but still second best of the night (6/10) Yokozuna vs Virgil was a fine squash that did its job and nothing more (4/10) The only elimination tag match of the night was incredibly boring and forgettable, none of the four teams did anything wrong but the whole match is just nothingness (4/10) Kamala vs Taker is silly and poorly wrestled, once again at least its short (2/10) Only real highlight of the night its the Main Event between Bret and Shawn, it does have some slow moments with rest holds, but its really technical and well worked. When it gets going its really fun (8/10)"

[4.0] "Another bad early Survivor Series for WWF. No matches that are worth watching here, but at least it doesn't run that long. Bret's time on top gets off to a rough start, unfortunately. A very skippable and nothing show, only notable for its main event being the first WWF Title clash between Bret and Shawn."

[6.0] "This was the year that Survivor Series moved away from the traditional elimination matches, featuring just one on the card, so it was always going to feel like a different edition of the event no matter what. Overall, I'd say this PPV was a mixed bag, although the two featured matches delivered, which is what matters the most and what elevates my rating. The rest of the card ranged from skippable (Martel vs Tatanka) to "just there" (the Survivor Series elimination match) to plain bad (Bossman vs Nailz or Undertaker vs Kamala), but the two biggest matches were fantastic, each on their own different way. Yokozuna's PPV debut was extremely effective as well, with the crowd reacting to each and every move he did, and it was evident he would be a huge attraction soon."

[5.0] "I love the world title match and Savage/Perfect Vs Flair/Ramon was good too but there was some really shitty stuff at this ppv. Thank god they brought back the proper elimination tag matches the following year because this show felt more like another filler ppv and not true Survivor Series."
rishabh wrote on 26.01.2022:
[6.0] "A two match show pretty much with the main event and the tag match delivering. The rest of the matches sucked but I won't be very harsh as the circumstances weren't the best at that time with people getting fired and all. The main event is highly recommended and is one of the best matches to take place on a Survivor Series PPV."
TigerDiver wrote on 01.08.2021:
[5.0] "If not for the main event and the Flair & Ramon/Macho & Hennig tag match, this would probably go down as an all-time worst show. Extremely boring undercard with either average, or even worse, bad matches all the way. Check out the aforementioned two matches, and be sure to skip the rest."

[6.0] "The Headshrinkers vs. High Energy. Here we have some of the earliest stuff from the Headshrinkers in the WWF. High Energy was a team that gave Koko B. Ware something to do while showcasing the potential of Owen Hart. Mostly an extended squash. I would have had Koko? s heat segment be much shorter. Owen looked good at least. *½. The Big Boss Man vs. Nailz. About what I expected. It was relatively short and inoffensive. The crowd popped hard for Boss Man getting the nightstick. *. Rick Martel vs. Tatanka. It? s been a few months and Tatanka is still undefeated. While he is still pretty green (and never got very good), Martel is a veteran who knows how to work around it. He plays the slimy heel rather well and adds to the heat of the match. Pretty basic stuff. It was about as good as you could hope for from Tatanka though. Heenan steals the show again with his HEYHOWAREYA. **. Mr. Perfect and Randy Savage vs. Razor Ramon and Ric Flair. This was going very well until the wacky finish. It was strong tag formula, with the right guy (Perfect) getting the shine. The crowd ate it all up and they told a good story. ***½. Virgil vs. Yokozuna. I will forever laugh at how excited Vince McMahon gets for Virgil here. It went about a minute longer than it needed to but it did the job. * The Nasty Boys and the Natural Disasters vs. The Beverly Brothers and Money Inc. If a member of a team gets eliminated, both members must leave. The Disasters and Nasties both left Jimmy Hart? s services in the past. Ted Dibiase is rocking his white attire which is a personal favorite. Painfully boring with a dead crowd. ¾* Kamala vs. The Undertaker. It? s the first casket match! It? s even called a coffin match at this point. It follows typical early Undertaker casket match rules where his opponent is comically afraid of the coffin. This was shitty. Undertaker matches didn? t get good for another four years. ¼*. Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels. The future hated rivals trade mat stuff in the early goings. It? s funny to see them sell basic moves with a lot of pain on their face. Easily the best match these two ever had. Great back and forth with two young guys out to prove that they could carry this company going forward. Some great storytelling bits sprinkled in throughout this smartly worked main event. ****¼. Outside of two matches, the show just isn? t very good. The coffin match, traditional Survivor Series tag and Nightstick on a Pole match were all flat out bad. The Headshrinkers and Yokozuna competed in relative squash matches and Tatanka/Martel was kind of just there. The only matches worth checking out are the Flair/Razor vs. Perfect/Savage and WWF Title one."

[8.0] "Liked this show overall, contrary to others I thought the big tag team match was the best of the night, lots of layers going on in that one, though the main event is pretty great as well. I also really liked the opening tag match, lots of good stuff going on. The only match I thought was bad was Tatanka/Martel, which I blame entirely on Tatanka being dull as dishwater."
The Old School wrote on 23.08.2018:
[6.0] "Not really a bad PPV but a mediocre one. Opener is alright. Tatanka vs Martel is acceptable. Howewer the rest of undercard is bad. We have boring elimination match, horrible Taker vs Kamala, useless squash from Yokozuna and? a match with Nailz. Terrible show so far but we have two matches that saved it. Perfect and Savage vs Flair and Ramon is very entertaining. Story in the ring is great and for this match dq finish is a right decision. Main event is just awesome. It is fully focused on mat wrestling and this is one of the times when it was really enjoyable."

[4.0] "Fantastic main event which saw the first of many PPV singles matches in the long and bitter rivalry between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Savage/Perfect vs. Flair/Ramon was also a pretty good match, although a DQ ending took away from it a little bit. The rest of the card isn't much to talk about."

[7.0] "I'll be onest. Most of the card is terrible, Big Boss Man vs Nailz and the opening tag team match are unwatchable. Tatanka vs Martel is bad and Yokozuna vs Virgil too. There are two good matches to enjoy, Perfect and Savage vs Flair and Ramon, and Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels. I don't consider the Casket match all that bad (still not good), the Survivor Series Elimination match was boring. I appreciate most of the show even with its fault, the end of a year different than the previous ones."
