[6.0] "After 3 years of struggle this looks like a real display of power, finally. Overall quality of wrestling feels like anachronism for the time being, apart from very high-class performances by The Rockers, Hart Foundation and an outstanding Savage/Warrior match with the legendary ending. The biggest problem of this show is a huge amount of useless squashes and I don't mean Taker's match, cause we all know what an absolutely great thing was born here. The main event was OK, but a little too slow and overstretched. Solid show, 6/10"

[6.0] "In order to evaluate this show in a meaningful way, you first have to eliminate some of the ballast. With fourteen matches, there's far too much rubbish on board, such as: Dino Bravo and the Texas Tornado, the Taker vs. Snuka, Demolition vs. random Japanese wrestlers, Quake and The Hammer, the LOD vs. Power & Glory, and the Mountie vs. Santana. To put it bluntly, it's all junk. These are minute-long events where the entrance takes longer than the action in the ring. You have to remember that Wrestlemania is payday. The remaining matches are mostly reasonably structured and of an acceptable standard, with only the blindfold mess standing out as a dud. The opener doesn't quite ignite, but it gets the crowd behind the show, and Warlord vs. Bulldog is even unexpectedly watchable. The first real eye-catcher comes with the tag team title change, which frees up the Hitman for bigger tasks. The story in and behind the match is also spot on here. This is even surpassed by the Macho King 'Disaster', which, despite Warrior's involvement, not only delivers a powerful match but also a thrilling story. The Intercontinental title match and the story surrounding Virgil and DiBiase are mostly solid, but then get lost in overbooking and thus lack sustainability. In the end, the Hulkster's inevitable triumph comes, whereby, in keeping with the latently exaggerated story, a relatively dramatic and even bloody path is taken, which at least gives the match a unique selling point among all the eternal Hulkster doubles and then doesn't feel quite as terrible at the end as it so often does. On the contrary. The show is undoubtedly highly recognizable and offers some really good entertainment in the midcard, but is perhaps even undeservedly dragged down a bit by relentless oversaturation."

[6.0] "Finally, after a three disappointing years, we got something to be happy for. Of course it's far from the great show, however number of decent matches is signifantly higher than in previous years. Savage and Warrior with bout of the night obviously."

I know it was regular for the time, but still, for the standard of PPV's in general, it docks points even further for me."

[4.0] "First things first: Savage vs Warrior NEEDED to Main Event. It was the by far best match and story on the card, and is honestly the only memorable must watch contest. Beyond it, you have a great opener and two good matches back to back with the Hoss Fight and Tag Team title match, and a good IC Title match only damaged by a bad finish. That makes 5 of 14 matches worth watching. The rest of this yet again way too crowded Wrestlemania card? Oozing average to straight up bad, featuring yet again six matches too short to even rate or care about, even The Undertakers first Mania match. All topped of by the by far worst Main Event at that point in time between Hogan and Slaughter. This show has definitely more to offer than Wrestlemania 2 and 4 (both 2/10) and also one match show Wrestlemania 6 (3/10), but it once again ends up being difficult to sit through from start to finish. The five praised matches save this card from a 3/10 rating, landing it on a 4/10. Average, nothing special."

[7.0] "Overall, this was a good mania with a very hot crowd especially for Hogan/Slaughter and Warrior/Savage. Both of those matches were good as was the Rockers vs Heenan Family. Outside of those they had solid matches like Bulldog vs Warlord or Snuka vs Undertaker and some bad like Texas Tornado vs Dino Bravo and Mountie vs Tito Santana. Weird to see 2 Japanese legends treated randomly on the show"

[4.0] "match qulity wise the best mania so far but the main event and the overall vibe of the show keeps it from being the best show so far IMO. savge vs warioer was good and i liked the opener and the bulldog match quite a bit , but man there is alot of bad stuff on this show and there are like 5 matches that just should not be on this card. the main event was the pits. on the bright side Genichiro Tenryu was on this show with no build up and he powebombs somene so thats cool. a show with very mixed match quilty that ended with a bad taste in my mouth"

[3.0] "An incredible Savage vs Warrior match and two good tag matches. That's all the positive things I can say about this show. The remaining 11 matches were either short or terrible (sometimes both), with Roberts vs Martel and the main event being the worst of the bunch."

[6.0] "This Wrestlemania had the most solid matches up to this point, most of the matches were actually solid, and I think that the blindfold match was alright... as entertainment, and not technical wrestling. The highlight of the show was "Macho Man" Randy Savage vs The Ultimate Warrior, I am not a fan of the latter but he managed to pull off a good performance in this match with the Macho Man, it was a great match, and it was a wonderful moment at the end seeing the Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth reunite. However, it DID have more solid matches, but it did not have enough GOOD matches to make it a truly remarkable event, even with the aforementioned great match between the Macho Man and the Ultimate Warrior, after that all the other matches were forgettable."

[7.0] "My favorite Wrestlemania(to-date atleast). The first 6 matches are awsome with great moments such as the debut of the streak, two awsome tag matches and many more cool moments. Then you get to the bread and butter of this show, Warrior/Savage. Arguably one of the most emotionally charged wrestling moments of all time. After that phenomenal match the card slows down but still has some good stuff such as Perfect/Bossman(screwy finish aside) aswell as seeing Tenryu. Also I find the mainevent gets abit to much hate, yes it was a terrible storyline but the match itself is nowhere near the worst thing I've ever seen."

[6.0] "Everything (or mostly) up until the Savage-Warrior match was surprisingly incredible for WWF standards, but nothing was going to be able to follow up that match and it was stinking from that point on, rounded up by the awful main event where time stood still. Overall it's still good because the first half was exceptional."

[6.0] "This show is a decent watch, but it doesn't hit the levels one would expect from a WrestleMania. The opening match between the Rockers and the Heenan Family was quite entertaining, getting the show off to a hot start. This is followed by the Texas Tornado squashing Dino Bravo to continue their attempt to establish him. The British Bulldog and the Warlord had a decent match. The Nasty Boys won the World Tag Team Titles off of the Hart Foundation in a good match that served to pave the way for Bret's singles run. Jake Roberts and Rick Martel stunk the joint out with a blindfold match. The Undertaker squashed Jimmy Snuka to start the streak. The Ultimate Warrior ended Randy Savage's career (for now) in the match of the night. Kitao and Tenryo and Demolition had a short, sloppy match. The Big Boss Man and Mr. Perfect had a dull blow off to their feud over the Intercontinental Title. Earthquake squashed Greg Valentine followed by the Legion of Doom squashing Power and Glory. Virgil and Ted DiBiase had a bad match. The Mountie squashed Tito Santana before Hulk Hogan won the World Heavyweight Title from Sgt. Slaughter in an awful match to end the show."

Allein das Career Match war sehr stark und hochemotional, vor allem was nach dem Match noch so alles passierte. Ansonsten viel Durchschnitt und Schwaches dabei."

[2.0] "A 14-match card with 1 match that sticks out as being good. Warrior vs Savage is legitemately good and saves this card from getting an even lower score. The Rockers opener was good but by the time I finished the card it had been completely wiped from my mind. The Hart Foundation losing to The Nasty Boys felt like a personal attack, as did Perfect vs Boss Man ending in a DQ. Then the main event was just absolutely garbage. Two dudes who looked like they were both pushing 55 trying to work a 20-minute match. Sgt. Slaughter being tasked with the Randy Savage role in carrying Hogan's 5-move ass to a compelling main event was a death sentence for a man whose best work was finished a decade prior."

[7.0] "Für mich jetzt schon zum Kreis der besten WrestleMania's der 90er gehörend, trotz manchem qualitativen Mangel haben mich diese gut dreieinhalb Stunden super unterhalten können und auch ringerisch zugesprochen. Schon im Opener ließ man sich das Butterbrot nicht vermiesen und auch im World Tag Team Titelkampf später am Abend schmiss man sich ordentlich rein, **3/4 um den Dreh je. Nicht ganz so enthusiastisch ging's zwischen Dino Bravo und dem Texas Tornado zu, *1/4. Bravo sah mentally checked out aus, von Erich mit einem obligatorischen Sieg daher. British Bulldog und Warlord im Einzelkampf zweier Kraftprotze tat entgegen der Erwartungen unterhalten, kein Vergleich zum kurz darauffolgenden Blindfold Match - entsprechend der gestellten Erwartungen, **1/4 bzw. DUD im Fall von Martel vs. Roberts. Für mich Zeitverschwendung, da kam nichts bei rum und half keinem der beiden Protagonisten. Niemandem weiterhelfen tat ebenso das Konglomerat zwischen Intercontinental Titelkampf und dem abschließenden Hauptkampf; Earthquake vs. Valentine und Legion Of Doom's Squash von Power And Glory eingangs ein fragwürdiger One-Two-Punch meiner Meinung nach, 1/2* bzw. DUD im Fall der einminütigen Angelegenheit der ehemaligen Road Warriors. Ted DiBiase vs. Virgil kam da glimpflicher davon, der Co-Main Event hingegen ohne jegliche Daseinsberechtigung in Anbetracht der Vielzahl an Segmenten hin zum letztlichen Main Event. So ganz habe ich dem Viererpack nicht folgen können, *3/4 um den Dreh bzw. DUD im Fall vom Mountie's schneller Arbeit. Nicht gänzlich umhüllt von fragwürdigen Booking stellten der WrestleMania-Debütkampf des Undertaker und Demolition vs. Team SWS zwei erwähnenswerte Darbietungen dar, *3/4 je. Mark Callous nach seinem Einstand bei der Survivor Series mit einer erneuten Machtdemonstration, retrospektiv zu dem Zeitpunkt noch kein bestechender Faktor und doch nice to have, Kitao & Tenryu überraschten mich und das Publikum mit ihrem ungeahnten Sieg über Crush & Smash, rein stilistisch gefiel mir das gut. Mir persönlich am besten gefiel allerdings das Career Ending Match, ***1/4. Pro-Wrestling in Reinform meiner Meinung nach, unterhielt durchgehend und trotz 20 Minuten kein Stück zu lang gewesen - rein von der Matchzeit als auch dem Angle rund um Elizabeth nach dem Match selbst. Mr. Perfect vs. The Big Boss Man und der Main Event konnten daran nur bedingt anschließen, **1/2 bei ansteigender Tendenz bzw. **3/4 im Fall vom World Heavyweight Titelkampf. Curt Hennig's Overselling wirft mich oftmals raus aus seinen Matches, das aber einer der wenigen Kritikpunkte am Titelträger, Hulk Hogan's Schwachpunkt das Booking seiner Persona und Titelkämpfe allgemein, gemessen am qualitativen Output zu lang gezogen und doch stimmungstechnisch zum rettenden Ufer gelangend. Für mich ein forcierter Moment Patriotismus, das aber tat dem ganzen keinen Abbruch - und so auch nicht der Show selbst, stattdessen traf man einen Nerv der Zeit."

[7.0] "While far from perfect, this was my first chronological WWF PPV to just barely hit the 7 point barrier. The plus aspects carrying my score were largely decided by the all-time classic Career Ending Match between Savage/Warrior (potentially my all-time favorite storytelling match) and the typically strong Rockers contribution to the opening tag bout. There were definitely a few true stinkers and squash matches in the mix, but it's easier to overlook those when you have 14 matches on the card and most are pretty much decent enough. They do need to cut this down to like 8-12 matches though, that's the true sweet spot for a big event card. This PPV is still a step too much needlessly "America! Rah Rah! " for my liking, but they at least dialed it back a healthy amount from the almost unwatchable patriotic fellatio of the previous PPV, Royal Rumble 1990. While the main event here was nothing special, it was absolutely crucial that WWF quickly realized their mistake and got the belt off of the all-around terrible Sgt. Slaughter, so... mission accomplished. Even though it was a hideous experience seeing Trump's ugly face return for the first time since WM-5 in the crowd interviews, you otherwise just have to be delighted with the most likeable set of WrestleMania "celebrities" yet to this point of time: Regis Philbin, Marla Maples and Alex Trebek. All in all, this is the first WWF PPV that I would overall call thoroughly good, but it's still a far cry from consistently great."

[7.0] "Pretty good WrestleMania, imo. Warrior Vs. Savage is legit one of the best WrestleMania matches ever. The Rockers/Faces of Fear and the Harts/Nastys were also excellent matches. Hogan/Slaughter in the main event was ok, but not th best."

[4.0] "There were way to many matches on this card that resulted in too many of them getting way too little time to do anything important. This is a same because most of the tag matches were solid and Savage/Warrior is a Top-3 match from the Golden Era of the WWF/E. Also the first really blah Hogan main event of this run with the poorly done Sgt. Slaughter as Iraqi sympathizer angle."

[4.0] "Match quality is slowly but surely getting better with the likes of Bret Hart, Randy Savage, British Bulldog and the Rockers on the card but its still plagued with nothing squash matches and lousy count out and DQ finishes. The main event was incredibly boring and Im tired of seeing these Hogan matches now"

[7.0] "Better than the previous wrestlemania, Randy savage and ultimate warrior stole the show it surprised me a lot that the ultimate warrior worked a great macth probably warriors greatest, the two tag matches were good the rockers tag macth and The hart foundation macth, The main event was good Fans were really into it, the build up was bullshit though, the rest of the card was dull to many matches just put on the card it got dull between macho mans macth and the main event, but a good wrestlemania overall"

[8.0] "This show was probably at least 3-4 matches too long, but there was some really good stuff on the undercard and the Main Event delivered, so overall it's an easy thumbs up from me. I think you can argue that its one of the best early WrestleMania events based purely on overall match quality, as it has 5 matches at *** or higher by my watch, which wasnt at all to be sniffed at when it came to the WWF from this Era, as they were usually more about the bombast and pageantry than they were about the quality of the wrestling, so this event stands out as a result and is well worth a viewing. Its just a shame about the exploitation of the war and I am somewhat glad that the show tanked from a business perspective because the WWF deserved it really"

[7.0] "This honestly might have the best undercard of any WrestleMania to this point. Most of the previous WMs were loaded with garbage outside of one (or occasionally two) marquee match. While this show did have a few filler bouts, they were generally short and decent enough that they didn't do much to detract from the show, and the undercard bouts that received more time, such as The Rockers vs. Haku/Barbarian and Bulldog vs. Warlord, were far better than the majority of preliminary matches that fans had to sit through at prior WMs. Outside of the rotten main event angle, most of the storylines heading in to this PPV were quite strong, and it paid off with a crowd that was fully invested and responded loudly to most of the action. The highlight of the show was easily Warrior vs. Savage, which I would still consider to be one of the most memorable matches (and moments) in WrestleMania history. The post-match in particular is an all time classic moment and feels very special. I was prepared to hate the main event, but honestly even that ended up exceeding my expectations and they pulled through with a decent enough match, even if it was a bit slow and overly long. This was a much better show than it looked like it would be on paper, and I think every wrestling fan who has any fondness whatsoever for old school wrestling should at least watch Savage vs. Warrior and the post-match segment with Liz."

[2.0] "This event would actually be much more higher if Randy and Warrior main eventted, because that match and the after match was perfect, but no, so every single match after was just the most painfully boring thing to watch, with Hogan showing his love to be the focus by trying to be the american hero."

[4.0] "Wrestlemania 7 is just such an unremarkable event to me. Much like 6, it is crammed with far too many matches that it gets a bit tiring. But here at 7, there are a lot more matches that are pretty cold. There's just not many matches going into this show that have truly hot feuds. And many of the matches that DO have really big feeling feuds underdeliver amazingly, such as Jake vs. Martel and DiBiase vs. Virgil. So in the end, you have hot feuds that don't deliver, and many cold matches that do about as much as they could. So you're really counting on your main events to deliver. And neither of your top baby faces here are known for delivering. I actually think the two main events are better than expected, but they didn't tear the house down either. The best thing I can say about Wrestlemania 7 is that nothing on the card really stunk. Even the worst of matches here were still decent enough for what they were. Conversely, I don't think there's much at all besides maybe the ending of the Warrior vs. Savage match that will stick in your brain. It's a good enough show to sit down and watch, but I certainly don't think it's a show that will have high repeatability to many people."

[6.0] "This Mania surprised me a bit, I enjoyed this one more than the last couple. This was a pretty good show that absolutely falls off a cliff a little over half way through. A controversial main event with patriot Hogan taking on Iraqi sympathizer Sgt. Slaughter is very much overshadowed by an actual good match and what should have been the main event in Savage/Warrior. This is Taker's first Mania and the start of the streak. Kitao and Tenryu are crazily here to take on a slowly dying Demolition. Pretty crazy show that kinda perfectly showcases 1991 WWF for good and bad."

[6.0] "I loved the first part of this WrestleMania and up to the midway point it was one of my favourites. The Rockers had a great match with Haku and Barbarian, followed by the surprisingly enjoyable Warlord vs Bulldog. Then the WWF Tag Team Titles Match was a very good bout with one of the best executed finishes I have ever seen, while the Blindfold Match was incredible entertaining to me. Warrior vs Savage was good for what it was, although I'm not as hyped about it as other people, but it still was a great send off to The Macho Man, especially with the aftermath. But then it fell apart. A lot of nothing matches and disappointing ones like the IC Match that were only there to fill up the time between then and the main event, which was just awful in every way. Good show with some quality fights, but it's perfectly okay to switch it off at halftime."

[8.0] "WWF WrestleMania VII - "Superstars And Stripes Forever" ist eine der WM aus der Anfangszeit wo man einiges sieht das ist gut gealtert aber auch vieles nicht. Dazu ist leider vieles schlechtes dabei. Zu fünf Guide-Einträgen jeweils dort mehr. Von 9 auf 8 sehr starke Punkte runtergerutscht."

[1.0] "Opener was an okay TV match. Texas Tornado given only 3 minutes? BULLDOG VS WARDLOW 8 MINUTES? ! (And I think that this was the MOTN) Tag Team title match was sad. Roberts vs Martel was also sad, terrible stipulation. Taker vs Snuka was a pointless squash, history or not. Savage 100% carried the terrible Warrior. Japanese match was pointless. IC match was booked bad and with a bad finish. Valentine got squashed. LoD vs PaG was pointless (more than the others, 59 seconds? ! ) Virgil vs DiBiase was booked horribly. Mountie vs Santana was...strange. Why give only 1 minute to Tito? The main event was too long and nothing happened for 18 minutes. I'm baffled by the high rating. This show is a waste of time and nothing can be saved from this show."

[5.0] "More of a mixed bag Mania here. Lets start with the good stuff. Rockers vs Heenan Family is a fun and fast opener, Bulldog/Warlord was surprisingly a decent match up, Tag Title match was fine as well and Savage/Warrior was the undisputed MOTN, its the one thing you absulutely must see form this card. Its a shame the rest of the card didn't keep up that level. There were plenty of filler matches that could've been cut, Taker/Snuka and LOD/Power and Glory could've worked as the only two breather squashes, the other sub 5 minute matches just made the pace drag a bit, Virgil/Dibiase, Roberts/Martel and Perfect/Bossman where all underwhelming in ways that could've been fixed by the booking. Those problems however would have been more forgivable considering the amount of good in the first half if the Main Event deliver. Sadly it did not, Hogan and Slaughter had an absolute slog with a lot of nonsense moments and drag down what would've been the first Mania with a satisfactory rating down to another 5 out of 10"

[4.0] "Certainly still suffering from cramming in some pointless stuff and ending up too long but this is decent, silly "U-S-A! " theming and all. Savage/Warrior and the iconic aftermath is of course doing the heavy lifting with the opener, Perfect/Bossman and the return of Andre, and quick exhibitions for Kerry, 'Taker, Kitao and Tenryu, and LOD being nice enough too. The main is a boring addition to a bad angle which notches the whole thing down a point. Still, this is a welcome step up when you've been binge watching 'Manias and made it out the other end of the cursed 4/5/6 trilogy."

[4.0] "A certain step up from the previous Wrestlemania's but still not in the 'good' range. Everything until and including Warrior/Savage made for a good time. The Rockers had another solid Mania tag, the Hard Foundation are good workers, the blindfold match was decent until it wasn't and Undertaker's streak starting was cool. Savage/Warrior was fair and away MOTN even with it's flaws but the post-match was maybe my favourite Mania moment to date. The show falls off a cliff from here aside from a few nice bits like Perfect putting in a solid performance, the Road Warriors getting a cool bit and Tenryu outta nowhere. Virgil/Dibiase is weird, the main event is horrible and so many feuds are paid off with stupid finishes. Not totally terrible but still not good."

[4.0] "An absolute slog to get through with a whole load of pretty terrible matches to blow off feuds, not helped by not loving the Savage match as much as most."

"Thoroughly enjoyed this show outside of the Blindfold match. Lots of filler, these older WrestleManias struggled when they didn't have as many storylines ending due to lack of Raw or other prime time weekly TV. Crowd popping moments such as the title changes were very enjoyable, and I was surprised to enjoy the Nasty Boyz match as I'm not normally a fan. Overall I'd give the show a 7."

[6.0] "I will always love this era of the WWF, but they really tried packing too much crap into this show and there were a bunch of matches where there were no story lines and they didn't even go 5 minutes. Check out Savage/Warrior obviously along with the Rockers/Proto Faces Of Fear and the tag title match but everything else is passable."

[4.0] "Still not getting a good Wrestlemania since Mania 3 and it's starting to get annoying. This show does have something none of those last few have, and that's Macho vs Warrior in a Career threatening Match. By far my favorite WWF match from this era, it's genuinely a classic. Go out of your way to go find it. Once you do though, you can skip the rest of this show. Virgil and Dibiase is the only section of the show that's obscenely bad, but the rest of the show is just boring and lame. Shout out to Hogan for having the worst match of his Mania main event run here with Slaughter, real nice end to this stupid show. Only better than 5 and 6 because of the 1 classic match."

[6.0] "A very solid WrestleMania, featuring a tremendous first half and an underwhelming second half. The clear highlight here was obviously the brilliant Warrior/Savage match, which was the highest peak of the show, though it's also the beginning of the downfall as well."

Der Main Event ist überraschenderweise sehr solide, Savage vs. Warrior ist ein Klassiker und man mehrere sehenswerte Matches in der Under-und Midcard, v. a. der Opener, Bulldog-Warlord und dem Tag Team Title Match. Zudem sind die Stinker ziemlich kurz geraten, deshalb wirken sie sich nicht sonderlich negativ aus."

[7.0] "The Rockers vs. The Barbarian & Haku. Okay, I have to say that I don? t get the Barbarian? s gimmick. He? s from Tonga, but he dresses like he? s marching through the Himalayas? Anyway, a surprisingly good match. For whatever reason, the Barbarian really picked up his game in the Spring of ? 91, and Haku was always good when he had another good worker in there. ***1/2. The Texas Tornado vs. Dino Bravo. This was near the end of the line for both guys in the WWF and, as it would turn out, in life. Typical squash on the Bermuda Triangle spot of the card. 1/4*. If ever there were a match that tipped off investigators to steroid abuse in wrestling, *this* would be it. Too long for a power match. 3/4*. The Hart Foundation vs. The Nasty Boys. I was never the Nasties biggest fan, but having Jimmy Hart with them just dulls any edge they might once have had. The Hart Foundation would dissolve immediately after this, and Bret would pursue his singles career. Neidhart was stuck with that little runt Owen. What? I said ? runt. ? **1/2. Jake Roberts vs. Rick Martel. Seeing the James Storm vs. Chris Harris match at Lockdown 2007 just illustrates that this match is not as bad as many make it out to be. See, this is a prime example of storytelling and psychology getting over, and shows that you don? t have to overwork yourselves to get a reaction. **1/2. Randy Savage (w/Queen Sherri) vs. The Ultimate Warrior. Bobby Heenan notices Miss Elizabeth sitting out in the crowd. I guess she doesn? t have the connections that Green Shirt Guy does because she? s way in the back. I? d rank this up there with Hart-Austin and Michaels-Taker as the best-booked matches in WrestleMania history. Ironically, Savage would be competing for the title at next year? s show, and Warrior would be begging for his job back. ****1/2. Demolition vs. Genichiro Tenryu & Koji Kitao. This was part of Vince? s alliance with SWS, a promotion that produced a lot of fun for the Japanese media thanks to their controversial penchant for throwing around money. This would be the last gasp for Demolition, as they would be repackaged as the Repo Man (Smash) and the Kona Crush (Crush). 1/2*. Mr. Perfect vs. The Big Bossman. Perfect did a good job of making it look like he could hang with the Bossman in a physical fight. **3/4. The Earthquake vs. Greg Valentine. I liked that Valentine wanted to go after the legs, but it was just a squash to give both guys something to do. 3/4*. The Legion of Doom vs. Power & Glory. At this point, P&G are irrelevant. 1/4*. Ted Dibiase vs. Virgil. Oddly enough, this would just be the start of the feud as the real climax would come not at WrestleMania but at Summerslam before Virgil receded into the background as a jobber to the stars. The Summerslam match is much better. *. The Mountie (w/Jimmy Hart) vs. Tito Santana. A nothing match. 1/4*. Sgt. Slaughter vs. Hulk Hogan. This was just a standard Hogan vs bigger guy match that he's been having since WrestleMania II. **1/4."

[5.0] "New to wrestling, have been watching all the WrestleMania's in order. This one was meh. All but the Undertake and the Final with Hulk were forgetable. Sgt. Slaughter really put me in the moment of the early 90's."

[4.0] "Opener ***1/4, Bravo/Tornado *1/4, Bulldog/Warlord **, Tag Titles ***, Blindfold 1/4*, Snuka/Taker *, Savage/Warrior ***3/4, Demolition/Kitao & Tenryu *1/2, IC Title **, Earthquake/Valentine 1/2*, P&G/LOD NA, DiBiase/Virgil *1/2, Mountie/Santana NA, Main Event **. Auch eher eine der schwächeren Manias. Bis auf das Career Ending Match, welches ich auch ein bisschen überbewertet finde, ist nichts dabei, was richtig gut ist. Der Main Event zählt sogar noch zu den besseren Hogan Matches."

[6.0] "Haku und Barbarian vs Rockers *** 1/4, Bravo vs Tornado DUD, Warlord vs Bulldog DUD, Nasty Boys vs Hart Foundation *** 1/4, Martel vs Roberts -**, Snuka vs Taker **, Warrior vs Savage *** 1/2, Demolition vs Kitao und Tenryu -*, Perfect vs Bossman **, Quake vs Valentine DUD, LOD vs POG NR, Virgil vs Dibiase * 1/4, Mountie vs Santana NR und der Main Event ** 1/4. Einige kleine Leckerbissen wie der Opener, das Tag Title Match und Warrior vs Savage gab es auf dieser Card. Auch der Rest ist tatsächlich auf einem einigermßen Soliden Niveau. Gerade ein Wrestlemania Debut des Takers ist eine Coole Sache. Das Blindfold Match sollte man dennoch unter jeden Umständen meiden."

[7.0] "Wrestlemania VII ist eine durchaus gute Wrestlemania, die zwar auch viele Filler-Matches hat, aber ebenfalls einige Highlights hat. So zum Beispiel der Opener The Rockers vs The Heenan Family, welches eines von zwei wirklich guten Tag Team Matches auf dieser Card ist und ein starker Opener ist. Texas Tornado vs Dino Bravo war nichts erwähnenswertes und British Bulldog vs Warlord war okay und hatte den richtigen Sieger. Danach kommt das zweite gute Tag Team Match The Nasty Boys vs The Hard Foundation, das vielleicht noch bessere Tag Team Match, in dem die Nasty Boys den Titel gewinnen können. Jake Roberts vs Rick Martel war ein nettes Gimmickmatch dank der Stipulation, aber nicht mehr und danach kam der erste Eintrag in der Streak des Undertakers, der ziemlich schnell Jimmy Snuka besiegt, aber auch dieser Auftritt hat bereits eine unglaublich starke Atmosphäre und man sieht viel Potential im Taker. Danach kam das MOTN zwischen Randy Savage und dem Ultimate Warrior, welches wirklich eines der besten Ultimate Warrior Matches überhaupt ist und zum Glück auch viel Zeit bekommt. Am Ende verliert Savage und damit auch seine Karriere, was den Warrior nochmal over bringt. Das Aftermath ist auch sehr stark, als Savage wieder Face turnt und sich mit Elizabeth reunited. Bis hierher war die Mania wirklich sehr gut, doch die zweite Hälfte ist deutlich schwächer und bietet neben langweiligen Squashes lediglich noch den Main Event, der okay ist. Nach der durchaus kontroversen Story um Sgt. Slaughter, die man absolut kritisieren kann, kommt es hier zum Payoff als er den Titel im ME auf's Spiel setzt und ihn an Hulk Hogan verliert, wie erwartet. Das Match war okay, beide sind sehr ähnlich und sind nicht die besten In Ring Worker, leben aber absolut von ihrem Gimmick, das sie beide perfekt spielen und beide gehören zu den größten Wrestling Ikonen ever. An sich also eine sehr starke erste Hälfte, eine langweilige Zweite Hälfte und ein mittelmäßiger ME."

[7.0] "This was a really good show. The first truly good WrestleMania, IMO. Got a MOTYC and tons of good matches to go along with it. Some meh matches but they didn? t last long. The pacing of the show was good, the booked matches in th right position and it made sure nothing dragged. BEST TO WORST: Savage vs Warrior [****], Perfect vs Bossman [***3/4], The Hart Foundation vs. The Nasty Boys [***1/4], Haku & The Barbarian vs Rockers [***1/4], Slaughter vs Hogan [***], Jake Roberts vs. Rick Martel [**1/2], Ted DiBiase vs. Virgil [**1/2], The British Bulldog vs. The Warlord [**1/4], Dino Bravo vs. The Texas Tornado [**], Snuka vs. The Undertaker [**], Demolition vs. Kitao & Tenryu [*], Earthquake vs. Greg Valentine [SQUASH], Power And Glory vs LOD [SQUASH], Mountie vs Santana [SQUASH]."

[6.0] "Having 6 sub 5 minute matches was a bit of a detriment to match quality but other than that this was my favourite Wrestlemania of my rewatch marathon so far. Some really good stuff with British Bulldog, The Rockers, and Macho Man carrying Ultimate Warrior to probably his match."

[7.0] "In my opinion this WrestleMania is very similar to WrestleMania XX, many many matches and a line up full of "meat on the fire" but oly to showcase talents because in many many matches it has been a squash more over than a match . Modt of the matches in the card ended in less than 5 minutes. I was Happy to see Kerry Von Erich in a WWE Ring against Dino bravo for example and it is remembered also the first ever WrestleMania for The Undertaker. Good opener between The Rockers adn Haku & Warlord (I should have called Shawn Michaels "Mr opener" at that time because its the third Wrestlemania in the row that he was opening the show). I didn't like the main event it was not well constructed in my opinion and was llogical in some points. Good also the Hart Foundation vs Nasty Boyz but it is clear that this WrestleMania it's all about Warrior vs Savage. It is my favorite Match from that years of "Gimmick Era" and it had all the ingredients that i love about Sport-Entertainment: Two great characters that comes to life, amazing storytelling and Epic false Finish. It was not a realistic match but it was an epic encounter in which both warrior and macho man were really great to create that sense of imprtance about the bout. It means more than this recited Warrior's Attire more than he match with hulkster more than any title match . The 5 macho elbows and the kick out by the Warrior were amazing , and the story about the warrior that "Talks to the God" is fantastic in my opinion. My twisted brain loves this stuff , because wrestling is in some way a theater of emotions. The Warrior losing hopes and self confidence, confidence in the gods that drives him. The final scene also in the aphoteosis of epicity with Warrior pinning only with his feet the Macho King. The after match also is fantastic , I don't really belive in love or anything but this scene with elizabeth and Savage was hearth touching , Mixing perfectly reality with fiction."

[4.0] "Wrestlemania 7 ist zwar erneut eine eher schwache Ausgabe, ist aber stärker als die WMs in den Jahren zuvor. Es gibt wieder 14 Matches, was natürlich viel zu viel ist und oftmals auf Kosten der Qualität geht. Etwa die Hälfte der Matches könnte man gut auch ersatzlos streichen, ohne etwas wichtiges zu verlieren. In der Mitte der Show enthält WM 7 das kürzeste Taker-Match bei allen WMs (bis auf WM 34), für Snuka braucht er nur vier Minuten. Es folgt das Highlight dieser WM: Der Warrior in einem seiner besten Matches überhaupt, haut mit Savage einen kleinen Wrestlemania-Klassiker raus. Durchaus sehenswert sind auch die beiden Tag Team Matches. Der ME hingegen überzeugt überhaupt nicht. Zwei unbegabte Wrestler dürfen uns und sich zwanzig Minuten lang quälen. Natürlich gewinnt Hogan, aber es zieht sich ohne erkennbare Highlights ewig hin. Für einen Klassiker und einige gute Ansätze gibts 4 Punkte."

[10.0] "Wrestlemania 7 war wieder eine Super Ausgabe, die mich sehr unterhalten hat, es gab wieder 14 Matches, was für andere zu viel an Matches ist, finde ich aber sehr gut, es ging gleich los mit einen sehr unterhaltsamen Opener und den Rockers, sehr gut waren vor allem auch das Tag Team Match Fountation vs Nasty Boys, der Bulldog vs Warlord und gerade Warrior vs Savage, der Hammer. Alles in allen wieder eine gelungene Mania der ich 10 Punkte gebe."

[6.0] "Die Rockers gegen die Heenan Family ist ein absolut passender Opener. Hard Hitting Action mit guter Schlussphase. Texas Tornado gegen Dino Bravo ist dann eher ein Squash zum Runterkommen. British Bulldog gegen den Warlord ist ein ganz anständiger Big Men Fight. Das World Tag Title Match ist dann ähnlich intensiv wie der Opener und bietet auch noch einen überraschenden Titelwechsel. Roberts gegen Martel hat zwar eine gewöhnungsbedürftige Stipulation, was beide daraus machen ist jedoch durchaus unterhaltsam. Undertaker gegen Snuka ist eher belanglos und nur als erstes Match der Streak des Undertakers relevant. Warrior gegen Savage ist dann ganz klar das MOTN und das bis dahin zweitbeste Maniamatch nach Savage vs. Steamboat. Tolle Heel/Facedynamik und tolle Matchstory um den cleveren Savage, der immer wieder Ablenkungen und Queen Sherri nutzen will gegen den tapfer weiterkämpfenden Warrior, der dann aber am Ende doch scheitert. Das Tag Match ist ganz okay für die Länge und besonders Tenryu kann was zeigen. Boss Man gegen Perfect ist für die ebenfalls knapp bemessene Länge ebenfalls anständig und als Big Man vs. Little Man ausgelegt. Die Disqualifikation stört mich hier nicht so sehr, da sie im Zuge der Story rundum Heenans Lager und der damit verbundenen Rolle Sinn ergibt. Earthquake gegen Valentine ist relativ irrelevant. Der Squash der Legion of Doom ist jedoch aufgrund des Aufbaus sinnvoll. Dann kommt mit DiBiase gegen Virgil ein reines Storymatch, in das auch Piper involviert wird. Der Mountie gegen Santana ist dann ein weiterer Squash. Dann kommt das ME, das kein wrestlerischer Leckerbissen ist aber eine gute Story rundum die "Bösewichte" und den "Helden" Hulk Hogan erzählt, der dann am Ende doch siegreich ist. Ich habe trotz eines richtig guten und zwei absolut anständigen Matches lange zwischen 5 und 6 aufgrund zu vieler, kurzer eher unrelevanter Matches geschwankt. Aber die durchweg guten Crowdreaktionen haben das Ganze für mich dann doch n"

[8.0] "A very underrated WrestleMania. Unlike last three ones undercard is good. Of course there are some useless but it's still very enjoyable for the most part. The Streak began with entertaining squash. Savage vs Warrior is an amazing match. Warrior winning title from Hogan is the greatest moment of his career but this is the greatest match of his career. Also post-match is awesome. Main event is at least not bad and it completes its main goal: send fans home happy."

[3.0] "On the plus side, this event produced the best match of The Ultimate Warrior's career. It also gave us a good moment in the main event with Hogan regaining the Heavyweight title from Sgt. Slaughter, who was such a massive anti-American heel at the time that WWF had to change the venue for this event based on the fear that a sniper could take out Slaughter in the open-roofed stadium they had originally chosen. However, that match itself wasn't all that great outside of that moment. The opening tag team match and the tag team title match were also good, and as far as history goes, this event was where The Undertaker's streak began. However, the entire rest of the event was sub-par, with a total of six different filler matches that lasted under 5 minutes."

[7.0] "An alright Wrestlemania, it felt long at times and the main event was pretty weak, but a lot of the undercard was good. Savage/Warrior is an obvious one, but also the opening tag and Bossman/Perfect were very good matches, and both the Blindfold match and Virgil/DiBiase are master-class matches in how to absolutely maximize crowd reaction."

[3.0] "The main event was garbage. Some of the undercard was decent, but it was Warrior/Savage who stole the show, and while I believe fans overrated the match immensely, it was still good."

[7.0] "As a kid, I had the first 13 Wrestlemanias on VHS as part of a boxset and this was one of the shows that was really fun for the first two thirds or so of the card, which I could always tell, since I stopped the cassette after the Bossman/Perfect IC title match and things go downhill from there with a pretty bad main event. To this day, I can still start watching at The Rockers/Faces of Fear, through the KVE and DBS squashes, Harts/Nastys, Martel/Jake and Savage/Warrior bouts and find alot to like."

[6.0] "Die Wrestlemania hat aus zwei gründen Geschichte geschrieben. 1. Das beginn der Streak, Undertaker vs Jimmy Snuka sehr schlechtes Match mit einem gebotchten Tomstone. Aber es ist das 1:0 das wird das Match immer haben. 2. Randy Savage vs Warrior ganz klar das Match des Abends, und das beste Match in der Karriere vom Warrior. Ansonsten hat diese Wrestlemania nix, ME lebt nur von der Story mehr auch nicht. Wrestlemania 7 bekommt 6 Punkte ist nach Wrestlemania 3 die wahrscheinlich zweitbeste Mania der Geschichte. (Auch besser als WM 6)"

[8.0] "Meiner Meinung nach die beste Wrestlemania bis dato, kurz vor WM III. Gestartet wird mit schneller Tag Team Action, ein schöner Opener. Dann 2 irrelevante Matches, aber schön den Bulldog zu sehen :-) Das Tag Team Title Match war schön gebookt, definitiv eines der besten Matches der Nasty Boys, schöner Split nach dem Match. Danach ein Blindfoold Match das mich sehr gecatcht hat, durch die geile Crowd und das gute Schauspielern von Martel von Roberts. Das Match war auch super aufgebaut. Danach wird Snuka das erste Streak-Opfer, genau das richtige für den Taker, ein schneller Squash. Daraufhin kommt das Match of the Night, von vorne bis hinten perfekt gebookt, sehr stark aufgebaut und einem Feel-Good-Moment am Ende. Dadurch das Ultimate Warrior so unglaublich over ist und Randy Savage ein sehr guter Wrestler ist, bekommen wir einen Clash zu sehen. Auch die Stipulation Carreer-Ending hilft dem Match ungemein. Das einzige was ich auszusetzen habe ist, dass der Elbow von Randy Savage hier geburied wird(Warrior kicked nach 5! hintereinander aus). Die Reunion von Elizabeth macht dann alles perfekt. ****3/4. Danach kommen 2 irrelevante Tag Matches, die man hätte streichen können. Auch das Santana Match und auch das Earthquake Match, sowie die beiden Single Matches am Anfang hättte man streichen können. Beim IC Title Match fällt auf wie over Big Boss Man ist , ich bin der Meinung, dass Fuck-Finishes bei Wrestlemania nichts zu suchen haben, aber ich bin froh das Perfect retained hat. Das Virgil Dibiase MAtch war auch stark aufgebaut, leider konnte es am Ende nicht delivern, hatte aber schon seine Berechtigung auf der Card. Die Unfähigkeit von Virgil wird hier deutlich. Der Main Event war dann halt dem Irak Krieg und der Kriegspropaganda der USA gewidmet, gut gebookt, match war nix besonderes, die Zuschauer können aber zufrieden aus der Halle gehen, da Hulk over wie sonst was ist. Gute Wrestlemania, ohne Frage"

[6.0] "WrestleMania 7 ist besser als Mann denkt. Ich würde gerne 5 Matches streichen. Dann wäre die Card nicht überfüllt mit teilweise richtigem Schrott. So war das schon bei WM 6 Aber jeder muss dabei sein bei WM. Der Opener war gut und hat die Leute schon ein wenig eingeheizt. Daraufhin ein sehr unnötiges Match. Obendrauf auch noch ein sehr schlechtes. Der Finnisher von Tornado ist mehr als nur schlecht. Folgendes Match hat dann zu mindestens eine Story, eine schlichte aber gute. Bis zum Finnish gab es dann einige gute Powerhouse actionen, durchaus Solides Match. Dann kommt eines der Hilihghts von WM 7, dazu mehr im Guide. Das Blindfold Match war an sich ganz cool, aber beide sind Gute Wrestler und daher hätte ich lieber ein Normales Match gesehen. Beide spielen ihre Blindheit gut und die Crowd macht mit, was extreme wichtig für dieses Match war. Mir ging es aber eine Spur zu lang. An sich kommt jetzt wider ein unbedeutsames Match aber die Tatsache das es der Beginn der absolut Legendären Streak ist macht das Match zu einem hinkucker. Es ging zum Glück nicht lange, leider ist das Ende ein wenig verbotcht. Dann kommt das MOTN und ein Richtiger WM Moment, mehr im Guide. Nach dem Match war so ein wenig die Luft raus. Die Fans in den ersten 10 Reihen haben scheinbar auch eine Pause gebracht. Das kommende Tag Team Match war grausam. Das Match um IC Titel war dann wider ganz gut. Bosman sehe ich gerne und Mr. Perfect ist ohne Frage eine Legende. Andre zu sehen ist cool aber das Match war ab dem Zeitpunkt beendet. DQ Finish wie meistnes, schlecht. Earthquake & The Legion of Doom müssen natürlich auf der Card sein. Gebraucht hätte die Matches keiner. Von Virgil und Dollar Man habe ich dann mehr erwartet. Die Szenen dannach sind schlecht, den Virgil sollte das Spotlight bekommen. Main Event war dann durchaus brauchbar. Ein Blutiger Hogan gewinnt dann ist Typischer art und weise. Mann hat versucht das Match spannend zu machen und hat es quasi geschafft. Solide WM."

[7.0] "Many feuds are build perfectly for this edition of Wrestlemania. DiBiase vs Virgil was waited, Ultimate Warrior vs Randy Savage was a remarcable match with a classic conclusion. It's the first Wrestlemania match for The Undertaker. The main event did not have a good feud, but Hulk Hogan vs Sgt. Slaughter had a hot crowd and it was better than expected. The Rockers and The Hart Foundation had two good matches, Big Boss Man was over against Mr. Perfect."

[7.0] "An enjoyable if not entirely great edition of WrestleMania. The Hogan-Slaughter main event and its flag-waving story was very much a product of its time, but for what it was it was effectively played. In terms of match quality, the show by far was carried by the Savage vs. Warrior match, which was excellently done - probably the single best match of Warrior's career - and had a fantastic post-match angle. There was some decent tag team action, notably the Rockers vs. Haku/Barbarian and Nasties vs. Harts, we had a memorable WrestleMania debut for Undertaker, Boss Man vs. Perfect was decent, and DiBiase vs. Virgil was, I think, far better than it had any right to be (and the crowd was actually pretty hot for Virgil). On the other hand, much of the rest was filler, and while I'm sure the blindfold match sounded like a good stipulation on paper, in practice watching two guys stumble around the ring doesn't an exciting match make (I guess I could see it being fun live for its crowd interaction factor). Maybe not the best 'Mania, but it was a childhood favorite and is still a pretty enjoyable watch overall."

[3.0] "There are a couple of standouts here (The Rockers always put on a good show; Warrior vs. Savage was a good story), but it was mostly crap. Especially the main event storyline. The overdone, contrived, tacky patriotism angle was bad. Really bad."

[5.0] "Die erste Hälfte der Show ist richtig gut. Ein wirklich brauchbarer Opener mit schönen Teamaktionen und der spektakulären Offensive der Rockers. Bravo vs Texas Tornado war eines der vielen Filler-Matches dieser Card. Gesehen und vergessen. Der Bulldog vs Warlord war da schon besser. Guter Powerhouses Brawl mit dem besseren Ende für den Bulldog. Das zweite richtig gute Match war das Tag Team Titelmatch. Die Technik der Harts trifft auf das reine Gebrawle der Nasty Boys. Diese haben auch noch eine Menge fieser Tricks drauf und es macht eine Menge Spaß ihnen bei der Arbeit zuzuschauen auch wenn man jeden zweiten Move vorher callen kann. Einer der Tiefpunkte der WM-Geschichte ist sicherlich das Blindfold Match. Um Gottes Willen war das schlecht. Der erste Teil der Streak war auch nicht gerade ein historisch gutes Match. Im Gegensatz zum Career Ending Match, dass für mich klar MotN war. Technisch nicht sonderlich herausragend, aber vom Storytelling und der Crowd ganz großes Kino. Das Aftermath ist dann einer der emotionalsten Momente der WrestleMania-Geschichte. Ab hier ging es aber steil bergab. Ein Gurkenmatch folgte auf den nächsten miesen Squash. Hier wurde einfach nur willenlos die Card vollgemüllt. Nur der Main Event ist dann logischerweise nochmal ein Höhepunkt. Auch sicher kein Wrestlingklassiker aber dennoch gut gemacht. Insgesamt hat die WWF mal wieder viel zuviele vorallem unwichtige und langweilige Matches auf die Card geknallt. Hier hätte man locker fünf Matches streichen können und das hätte die Show deutlich besser gemacht."

[7.0] "Hogan vs Slaughter war gut, Highlight ganz klar Savage vs Warrior. Ansonsten war für mich aber nicht viel dabei."

[8.0] "Mal wieder ein starker Opener der Rockers, leider ein paar Minuten zu kurz, sonst aber sehenswert. Tag-Team-Titel-Match war auch gut, ebenso die beiden anderen Tag-Team-Matches, da hat man sich damals echt Mühe gegeben. MOTN natürlich ganz klar Warrior vs Savage mit Face-Turn von Savage am Ende. Bulldog vs Warlord und Perfect vs Boss Man konnte man sich auch anschauen, Undertaker damals noch mit einem Standard-Match. Main-Event war absehbar und geht in Ordnung. Mit Berücksichtigung der damaligen Gegebenheiten wohl die bis dato beste Wrestlemania."

[5.0] "Der Opener macht viel Spaß und ist schon gleich ein Highlight der Veranstaltung. Ein gutes Tag Team Match, wie man es von den Rockers kennt (***1/4). Danach geht es mit Bravo und dem Texas Tornado aber schon wieder abwärts. Sehr schwache Darbietung (*). Bulldog/Warlord geht eigentlich. Es hätte schlimmer kommen können (**1/2). Nun kommt wieder ein gutes Tag Team Match von der Hart Foundation und den Nasty Boys (***1/2). Das Blindfold Match kann man nicht mit den anderen Matches vergleichen. Das Ganze ist eine Comedynummer und bringt einen Bonuspunkt (+1). Auch wenn das Match ziemlich schwach war, muss man das 1-0 des Undertaker einfach gesehen haben (**). Das Career Ending Match war definitiv das beste Match des Abends. Besonders die Story die hierbei erzählt wird ist klasse (****1/2). Jetzt heißt es wieder Tag Team Action und gleichzeitig auch Langeweile. Das Match war leider gar nichts (1/2*). Big Boss Man und Mr. Perfect liefern sich einen soliden Fight, bei dem ich gern eine klare Entscheidung gehabt hätte (***). Die nächsten vier Matches sind alle zum Vergessen. Zusammen ergeben sie eine Laufzeit von ungefähr 13 Minuten und das sagt schon alles. Der ME kann die Schwächen der vorherigen Matches leider auch nicht mehr gutmachen. Das Match war nicht schlecht, aber im Vergleich mit den Hauptmatches von WM 3, 5 oder 6 war das hier nur mittelmäßig (***). Ich teile WrestleMania VII in zwei Teile. Die erste Hälfte (7 Matches) hatte zwei gute Tag Team Matches und ein großartiges Match zwischen dem Warrior und Savage. Dazu ein lustiges Blindfold Match und das 1-0 des Undertaker. Die andere Hälfte war sehr schwach und hatte mit dem IC Title Match und dem ME zwei durchschnittliche Kämpfe. Eine sehr durchwachsene WrestleMania und deshalb 5 Punkte."

[7.0] "Wieder eine Wrestlemania mit vielen viel zu kurzen Matches. Lange meine lieblings WM da viele meiner damaligen Favoriten wie Hart, Perfect, Rockers, Tornado & Co. zu sehen waren. Aus der ganzen Card stechen nur wenige Matches heraus. Der Opener war gut. (3 1/4*)Auch das TTTM war gut und damals ärgerte ich mich dermassen über den Sieg der Nastys. (3 1/4*)Das Match des Warriors und Savage ist natürlich MotN. (4*)Der ME ist im ganzen gesehen für mich bis dahin der schlechteste WM Mainer. Allein bei der Story könnte ich kotzen. Im Match selbst, drischt Slaughter mit einem Stuhl und würgt Hogan mit einem Kabel vor den Augen des Refs und wird nicht einmal dqed. Absoluter Schwachsinn."

[5.0] "Trotz einem grandiosen Warrior vs Savage match und zwei guten TagTeam matches landet diese Mania wieder eher in den unteren Reihen was die Wertung angeht. Einfach wieder zuviel Filler Matches und Squashes die zum Teil nicht mal die fünf Minuten Grenze erreichen und nur unnötig talentierte Worker verschwenden wie Santana und Rougeau. Auch Hennig hätte hier ein besseres Match verdient gehabt. Der Main Event war die übliche Hogan-Formel, und es ist schon schlimm wenn man erkennt, dass Slaughter, welcher erst vor wenigen Monaten zurückgekehrt ist hier der bessere Worker zu sein scheint. Dazu natürlich die ganze Irak vs US-story die doch einen sehr negativen Beigeschmack hinterlässt. Insgesamt von mir nur 5/10. Dies war zum Glück die letzte Mania bei der Quantität so extrem über Qualität gestellt wurde."

[5.0] "Zunächst einmal sind einfach ein paar Matches zuviel auf der Card. Das Rockers-Match ist als Opener recht nett anzusehen. Die restliche Undercard - naja. Nichts wirklich bahnbrechendes, aber der Nostalgiefaktor reißt mittlerweile einiges wieder raus. Das Blindfold-Match ist eine recht interessante Idee, obwohl es nicht viel länger hätte dauern können. Savages Careermatch gegen den Warrior ist das Match des Abends und durchweg klasse. Was Savage aus dem Warrior rausholt ist phänomenal, ein echter Klassiker, muss man einfach mal gesehen haben. Bis zum Main Event muss man sich nun nochmal 4 Kurzmatches unter 5 Minuten geben, dazwischen liegt noch das IC-Match zwischen dem Bossman und Perfect (Durchschnitt) und das Ex-Sklave Virgil gegen DiBiase Match. Das gesamte Virgil-Gimmick fand ich ätzend, hier wird nochmal richtig auf die Klischeedrüse gedrückt. Wo wir dabei sind: Main Event! Hogan besiegt in diesem wegen politisch hoher Spannung berüchtigten Match logischerweise bei Mania den "Verräter" Sgt. Slaughter. Das Match ist sehr langsam und das Finish klassisch Hogan. Nun ja: Schlecht ist der Event nicht, und enthält auch noch ein All-Time Klassikermatch. Zu viele (Kurz)matches und der Dröge Main Event lassen diese Mania leider in der Versenkung des Mittelmaßes verschwinden."

[5.0] "Mittelmäßige Wrestlemania. 14 Kämpfe sind viel zu viel. Es wirkte irgendwie wie runter gespult. Was man bei den kämpfen von Demolition/Earthquake/Boss Man/Legion of Doom/Bulldog und Tornado merkt. Der Main Event war ziemlich öde. Was man aber slaughter zuschreiben muss, ich kann mich an kaum einen interessanten Kampf von ihm erinnern. Sehr gut waren die Matches warrior-savage und nasty boys - hart foundation. 2 von 14 kämpfen die wirklich gut waren sind aber viel zu wenig."

[8.0] "Starke WrestleMania-Ausgabe, einmal mehr eine hochkarätige Mischung aus gutem Wrestling und kurzweiliger Unterhaltung. Den Main Event fand ich etwas enttäuschend, aber hier gab es jenug andere Highlights auf der Card."

[5.0] "Na ja, nicht so gut wie der Vorgänger. Es geht gleich mit einem ziemlich starken Opener los, der schon das zweitbeste Match des Abends ist. Zwei recht schlimme Matches später folgt das TT Match, von dem ich mir aber mehr erwartet hatte. Mit dem Sieg der Nasty Boys hat wohl keiner gerechnet, deswegen ein solides Match. Der Beginn der Undertaker- Serie ist unspektakulär, er bekam damals schon recht viele Pops. Das Blindfold- Match war höchstens witzig und dann, ja dann folgt das ganz klare MotN. Am Ende hat man Savage zwar zu stark zerstört, aber trotzdem ein fantastisches Match mit einem mMn bei WM-Einspielern zu oft vergessenen Wrestlemania-Moment nach dem Match. Einige schlimme Matches später folgt dann der nicht viel bessere ME, der selbst für Hogan-Verhältnisse schlecht ist. Dies lag wohl auch an seinem Gegner. Warrior-Savage rettet eine schlechte Wrestlemania noch auf 5 Punkte."

[6.0] "Sehr viele Matches bei dieser WM. Das beste war sicher das Career Match zwischen Savage und dem Warrior. Ebenfalls gut war noch der Opener und teilweise der Main Event. Die übrigen Matches waren eher mittelmäßig bis schlecht was teilweise auch an den kurzen Matchzeiten lag."

[4.0] "Der Opener ist sehr gelungen und hat nur einige wenige Schönheitsfehler (8/10). Mit dem Texas Tornado und Dino Bravo folgen zwei Kollegen, denen ich noch nie etwas abgewinnen konnte; zum Glück ist das Ganze schnell vorbei (2/10). Bulldog vs. Warlord ist da schon deutlich stärker, wenn auch dieses Match nicht über Mittelmaß hinauskommt (6/10). Mit dem Tag-Title-Match folgt dann eines der Highlights dieser WM (8/10). Jake The Snake vs. Rick Martel hätte Potenzial gehabt, scheitert aber an der Stipulation. Eine gewisse Spannung zu Beginn kann man nicht verleugnen, aber es wird dann einfach zu sehr in die Länge gezogen (1/10). Das historische 1:0 des Takers gg. Snuka ist leider nur ein füllendes Squash-Match (2/10). Savage zieht den Warrior zu einer epischen Schlacht, die eigentlich in den Co ME gehört hätte, das Finish ist allerdings das armseligste aller Zeiten (10/10), dafür gibt es danach auch mal was für’s Herz (+1). Außer dem mittelmäßigen IC-Title-Match (6/10), DiBiase vs. Virgil, das letzterer komplett gegen die Wand fährt (2/10), und dem ME gibt es in der Upper Card insgesamt 4 Filler, die sich alle samt nicht als WM-würdig erweisen und die ich in ihrer Reihenfolde mit 3/10, 1/10, o. W. , o. W. bewerte. Punktabzug für jedes Match, da so etwas nichts auf einer WM-Card zu suchen hat (-4). Der ME ist sicher nicht hochklassig, aber passte von der Story und der Bladejob gibt dem Ganzen eine für damalige Verhältnisse ungewöhnliche Brisanz (6/10). Gesamt: 4, 33."

[6.0] "WrestleMania VII wartete wie wohl alle Großveranstaltungen zu dieser Zeit mit einem Mammutprogramm an Matches auf, was sich damals zwangskäufig in der Matchdauer und somit in der Qualität derselben niederschlagen musste. Gute Matches gab es natürlich auch dabei und wenig überraschend waren die Rockers und auch Bret Hart daran beteiligt. Sehenswert aufgrund des Nostalgie-FaktorsŽist in jedem Fall das Mania-Debut des Takers, der mal eben den verdienten Routinier Snuka zerstört. Sehenswert auch und zwar wegen des gewaltigen Trash-Faktors das Blindfold-Match zwischen Martel und Roberts. Große Emotionen schürte neben dem Main Event natürlich das Karriere-Match zwischen Savage und dem Warrior. Savage zog den Warrior tatsächlich zu einem fast ansehnlichen Match. Den Main Event muss man vor dem damaligen politischen Hintergrund sehen; ein Sieg Hogans war hier ja Pflicht."

[8.0] "Wrestlemania VII wird mir immer als erste Großveranstaltung, die ich je gesehen habe in Erinnerung bleiben und bekommt allein aus diesen nostalgischen Gründen eine bessere Bewertung, als sie objektiv verdient hätte."

[6.0] "Sehr viele Matches. Viele davon waren schwach, einige davon in Ordnung. Das Highlight war sicher das Career Match. Man war das spannend und emotional, unfassbar. Sollte man echt einmal gesehen haben."

[7.0] "Und erneut ein guter PPV. Der Opener ist natürlich weit entfernt vom Rumble Match der Rockers, aber er wiess auch zu unterhalten. Tornado/Bravo ist belanglos, Bulldog/Warlord für das was es war, in ordnung und das Tag Title Match geht in Ordnung. Der Undertaker/Snuka Squash leitet den legendären Streak recht unspektakulär ein. Danach kommt das unterhaltsame Blindfold Match. Sicherlich eine dämliche Idee, aber Roberts und Martel machen das beste draus und es wird desöfteren recht urig. Darauf folgt das Match des Abends und ein echter Klassiker: Das Retirement Match zwischen Warrior und Savage. Selten (oder eher nie) sah der Warrior besser aus und das Match war dank guter Chemie zwischen Warrior und Savage wirklich klasse. Dann folgt eine Menge Quark und Mittelmaß, damit die Crowd beim main Event voll dabei ist (eine Schande einen Genichiro Tenryu so beiläufig einzusetzen). Und das ist sie dann auch. Sicherlich, Hogan gegen Slaughter ist wieder mal alles andere als Wrestling vom feinsten, aber die Stimmung passt und am Ende bekommen die Fans das was sie wollten (? ) : Hogan als Champ und Slaughter am Boden. Bis dahin die beste Wrestlemania!"

[7.0] "Ein Hammer Match zwischen Randy Savage und dem Ultimate Warrior sowie ein denkwürdiges Aftermath bilden die klaren Highlights dieser WrestleMania. Dazu waren der Opener und das Tag Titles Match noch sehr sehenswert, während der Rest meist zu kurz war, um wirklich zu stören. Der Main Event ging auch in Ordnung, sodass Overall eine ansehnliche WrestleMania herauskommt."

[6.0] "Die Card ist natürlich viel zu groß, was aber teilweise positiv auffällt, da schwächere Paarungen nur wenige Minuten dauern. Zunächst sehr starker Opener der Rockers, gefolgt von zwei sehr kurzen Single Matches die einfach nix besonderes sind, aber wegen ihrer Kürze kaum stören. Nasty Boys/Hart Foundation fand ich sehr stark. Auch in der heutigen Zeit durchaus sehenswert. Dann das Blindfold Match... ok lächerlich. kann man überspringen. Es folgt der erste Wrestlemania Auftritt des Undertakers in dem er Snuka ohne größere Gegenwehr vernichten durfte, sowie das Match des Abends. Warrior/Savage sollte man mal gesehen haben. Danach viel Leerlauf. Ein völlig unspektakuläres Tag Team Match, ein etwas besseres Single Match zwischen Bossmann und Perfect (mit einem Kurzauftritt von Andre the Giant oder was von ihm übrig war), dann der Tiefpunkt mit Earthquake/Valentine. Allerdings auch wieder so kurz, dass man es fast verpasst wenn man kurz wegschaut. LoD zerstören binnen 3 Minuten Power&Glory, Virgil/DiBiase war ganz nett und hatte einen Gastauftritt von Piper immerhin. Dann eine Enttäuschung. Hatte von der Paarung Mountie/Santana schon mehr erwartet, aber leider dauerte auch dieses Match nicht mal 5 Minuten. Dann gabs Hogan/Slaughter und der Event endete wie die meisten Wrestlemanias zu dieser Zeit mit einem Sieg von Hogan. Stimmung war durchweg gut. Man kann sich das Ganze wirklich mal anschauen besonders wenn man in möglichst kurzer Zeit viele alten Größen der WWE kennenlernen will"

[8.0] "Savage und Elizabeth haben sich wieder! Jaaaa! Ansonsten für eine Wrestlemania der damaligen Zeit nur Durchschnitt. Aber selbst das ist schon eine Menge!"

[6.0] "Geht so. Das Blindfold-Match find ich nicht so schlimm, wie es oft gemacht wird, es war halt mal was anderes, stellenweise amüsant und die Zuschauer sind mitgegangen. Aber es gab einfach zu viele und zu kurze, teilweise sogar überflüssige Kämpfe. Der Main Event war auch schwächer als bei den letzten Wrestlemanias. Das Macho-Warrior-Match war ganz ok, aber auch etwas langatmig wie ich finde."

[7.0] "Die Card ist natürlich ziemlich überfüllt! Wenn man über die - glücklicherweise kurz gehaltenen - Filler hinwegsehen kann, wird man an Wrestlemania VII durchaus seinen Spaß haben. Der Opener und das Tag Team Titelmatch wissen zu gefallen, ebenso das Undertaker Debüt, dass zwar wrestlerisch nicht hochklassig dafür geschichtlich von großer Bedeutung ist. Randy Savage und der Warrior zeigen den Showstealer, auch das Schauspiel danach weiß zu überzeugen und lässt den Macho Man wieder zum Face turnen. Der Main Event kann mit der wrestlerischen Klasse des Career Ending Match zwar nicht mithalten, überzeugt aber durch einen schönen Matchaufbau und ein konsequentes Booking. Hogan und Slaughter legen sich überdurchschnittlich ins Zeug, dazu kommt moch die Brisanz dieser Fehde, was für einen gelungenen Abschluß dieser Wrestlemania sorgt. In meinen Augen eine wirklich gute Veranstaltung!"

[8.0] "3 wirklich gute Matches (siehe Observer Bewertungen) aber auch weitere gute Matches machen diese Wrestlemania zu einer ihrer Besten bisher."

[8.0] "Der Main Event war ok, beim IC-Title Match hätte man bestimmt eine bessere Alternative als den Boss Man parat haben können, aber was solls. Match des Abends auf jeden Fall das Career Match zwischen dem Macho Man und dem Warrior mit dem Happy End am Schluss! Und obendrauf noch ein paar kleinere Highlights, die man gerne mal vergisst wie z. B. Paul Bearer, der das erste Mal den Undertaker managte und damit Brother Love ablöste. Auf jeden Fall eine 8 Punkte Mania!"

[8.0] "Im Ganzen betrachtet Durchschnitt, aber die Tatsache, dass diese Ausgabe von WM eines meiner Lieblingsmatches (Randy Savage vs Ultimate Warrior) beinhaltet, gibt es eine 2."

[4.0] "klasse match zwischen macho und warrior, hogan wieder champion aber wer hätte slaughter auch sonst den titel abnehmen sollen mal wieder ein super match der rockers (hätten den tag titel auch mal verdient gehabt) alles im ganzen aber eine schwache wm"

[6.0] "Der Main Event war gut aufgebaut und lebte von der Brisanz des damaligen Gimmicks von Sgt. Slaughter. Das Tag Team Titelmatch war ok und das Match zwischen dem Warrior und dem Macho Man sehr aufwühlend mit einem coolen Happy End. Am meisten bleibt mir der Zuschauer in Erinnerung, der losgeheult hat als Liz und Randy sich umarmten.... das waren Emotionen *g*"

[6.0] "Gelungene WrestleMania, die paar tolle Matches hatte, vom Main Event hatte ich mir mehr erwartet!"

[8.0] "Habe mir den PPV nach langer Zeit mal wieder angesehen und war erneut angetan. Zwar waren einige schwächere und unnötigere Matches auf der Card, jedoch war das Gesamtkonzept mehr als solide. Viele Matches wussten zu überzeugen, insbesondere das Karriere-Match zwischen Savage und dem Warrior war ein Genuss."

[8.0] "Dürfte meine erste Wrestlemania gewesen sein (ein Jahr später auf Tape) und geniesst daher bei mir noch einen kleinen Bonus. Aber auch rückwirkend betrachtet bot sie einige gute Matches, Dramatik, komödiantische Unterhaltung, ausgeschmückt mit einem soliden Randprogramm und natürlich dem berühmten Hogan-Happy-End. Besser hätte man es für die Zeit kaum treffen können."

[6.0] "Eine der etwas schwächeren Wrestlemanias, aber das Blindfold Match war echt lustig."

[6.0] "Auch diese WM halte ich für ziemlich unterschätzt. Das beste Warrior Match (besser als das Match ein Jahr zuvor gegen Hogan! ), ein akzeptabler ME (klassischer WWF Stil halt) sowie eine alles in allem ordentliche Undercard machen aus diesen Event ein durchaus unterhaltsames Gesamtpaket."
