[5.0] "I've watched a few of these old Georgia Championship Wrestling now, and while I was actually kinda looking forward to this one going in, I actually only thought this show was only just decent. My favourite match of the night was the National TV Title match. I will say that I enjoy the vibes in the Omni watching these old shows."
[6.0] "Pretty good show that hasn't aged particularly well due to the old school styles and generic characters. I would still rather watch this over the hardcore garbage we have today."
[7.0] "If you're wondering what wrestling was like before the WWF ate the territories, this is a perfect example of a top-to-bottom rock-solid event that would've been at home in any era dating back to the dawn of professional wrestling."
[9.0] "What a fantastic show from top to bottom! Really glad WWE Vault shared this because this was wrestling in its purest form, and you could tell nobody on the card was slacking. The worst match was Wahoo vs. Volkoff, and even that wasn't bad, especially considering the crowd reactions near the end. The atmosphere was electric, and the card was stacked with fantastic workers who told compelling stories in every match. Barr vs Whatley was great, Spoiler carried an incredible aura against Johnny Rich, and Tommy vs DiBiase was a simple but well-executed bout. Thornton vs Rogers was one of my matches of the night - both guys were flawless in execution, and the finish was teased masterfully, with Les eventually getting away with pulling the tights like a true veteran. Roberts vs Garvin was another standout, with Jake playing the perfect weasel heel and Ronnie bringing tons of fire, plus the added storytelling with Jake's injured arm made it even better. The Road Warriors vs Bundy & Hansen was refreshing, both from a pure workrate and heel/babyface dynamic standpoint. And then the main event, featuring 21-year-old Brad Armstrong against Flair, was another strong outing, with Brad showcasing incredible potential and working seamlessly with the always-reliable Ric. A truly great show - Ole was still on top of his game as a booker, and all the workers delivered quality matches."
