[6.0] "Say what you will about WrestleMania 2 as a whole event, but Part 2 was actually pretty good and miles better than Part 1. I did enjoy the 20 man battle royal because it had decent star power to carry a match like that. William 'The Refrigerator' Perry had a good showing in the match and got a great reaction from the crowd as well and was the only one of the NFL players that stood out as thankfully the proper wrestlers dominated it. You had legends like Bruno Sammartino and Pedro Moales there and an inevitable Andre The Giant win. The tag title was a genuine highlight on this PPV as well with the British Bulldogs winning the Tag Team Titles against Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake. The Women's Title match was pretty bad with Moolah's stranglehold on the division in full effect and the flag match barely got going really. Still, the two good matches got much more time here making the Chicago event very watchable. [WrestleMania 2 Overall Rating: 5.0]"

Although the ring announcer wasn't as dramatic, his down-to-earth delivery spoke to me in a way, especially in the sense that he would often repeat parts so that the audience doesn't miss anything. The match quality was also a drastic improvement from New York, given that there weren't any matches that were offenses to the sport of pro wrestling in the same way that Savage vs. Steele and Mr. T vs. Roddy Piper were. [4.38/10 match score] FULL LIST OF MATCH RATINGS (DUD-*****): - Moolah vs. McIntyre (Women's Title)= 1/2* - Kirchner vs. Volkoff (Flag Match)= *1/4 - WWF vs. NFL Battle Royale= **3/4 - British Bulldogs vs. Dream Team (Tag Titles)= ****1/4"

Then in the last match in Chicago, the MOTN by several thousand miles the Dream Team vs the British Bulldogs, an underrated Mania gem, so honestly, skip everything else and just watch that tag title match"

Unfortunately, the battle royal wasn't great, although watchable, and the first two matches are ridiculous, not to say shameful. In-ring quality: 1.5/5. Angles and segments outside matches: 0/3. Bonus/Malus: Very limited for a wrestling show, and even more so for a Wrestlemania -0.5. Total: 3/10. Show seen on WWE Network."

Two very short matches followed by a decent enough battle royal with a fun concept (WWF wrestlers vs. NFL football players) and a good Tag Team Championship match between The Dream Team and The British Bulldogs (***1/4). The tag team division was the workrate division around this time and you can sure tell."

[10.0] "This was the midcard card of all 3 shows, yet still was fairly entertaining. Sure the "flah match was confusing, why wasn't it just a regular singles match? But thankfully didn't ruin the show. The main event was the most fantastic, altough pits for Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake that they lost. Also the finish was confusing since it, in a way did look like Bulldog would turn heel since also knocked and bloodied British Bulldog. Was also quit entertaining to see Ozzy Osbourne with blond hair and acctually speaking normal not unprehonsive like he does now. Pity Ozzy wasn't involved more in the WWE. Also the commentary was better than in for Chicago, especially Cathy Lee Crosby since she gave a lot more energy in her commentary. Although pity she didn't have more lines. To be honest since she was more quiet you forget she even is there"

[4.0] "This part of the show had a good match as the Tag Championship match was actually some decent action. The problem is that the rest of this part of Wrestlemania 2 was not good at all. First of all, we have a Womens Championship match that actually starts of fast paced and kind of fun but then it just ends after not even 2 minutes. Why? Then we have a flag match that is over so fast that I am not even sure it happened. Lame as hell. The Battle Royal featured basically no actual wrestling moves but at least Andre makes sense as the winner and they did not give it to some NFL guy. As I said, the Tag Match is a decent end to this part of the show, but it is still very dull to watch in its entirety."

I wish McMahon had booked all 3 locations like this one with the attraction match, main event, and a good in-ring contest. In this case the last two are one in the same but if we could've had Savage vs. Steamboat in NY, Tito Santana vs. Hercules in LA, and JYD vs. Terry Funk in LA, too this would've been a much better remembered show."

At one point, we have overlapping/competing audio from a ring announcer in one venue, a wrestler cutting a promo interview in a second venue and the broadcast commentators in that second venue ALL AT ONCE. It is insane. We also have the "Where's the Beef" woman either with a dead mic or not understanding how to use a mic. And who could forget Susan St. James? Without a doubt, the most obnoxious, clueless and repetitive person to ever strap on a headset microphone for the WWF/WWE. "Uhhh ohhh". Yeah, "uh oh" is right whenever I rewatch this show and remember I have to choose between her and the mute button. Oh, the matches? A highly mixed bag of solid, occasionally good and terrible/pointless, but I think the better bouts were an improvement over WrestleMania I's best bouts. There's nothing even close to the quality of the Bulldogs vs Dream Team tag match back on WM1."

WWF Women's title match: ASS. garbage. is Moolahs whole gimmick here is that she was old and had a long reign? her wrestling was carried by Velvet McIntyres selling and then Moolah just pins her after she misses a dive? I guess going on the top rope was considered ore serious and new back then but jeez that was bad that she was pinned from that. Flag Match: not special. not worth the rewatch but it gets some points for getting the crowd wild up which I think it was th purpose. WWE & NFL Battle Royal: very cool to see all these legendary people in the ring at the same time. got the feeling Andre was winning cause he was the only one with attire that was standing out. nothing special but fun for th history aspect. was also presented very well and quick, WOW! who would have thought wwe could do a battle royal correctly. Tag Team match: I have nothing to say. bless them for giving a wrestling match no matter how basic. I wanted to cry in joy for something resembling a wrestling mach over 5 minutes"

[3.0] "The second portion of Wrestlemania 2 doesn't fair very well. And if it weren't for the tag title match to save it, this very well might be one of the worst cards in WWF history. We start with the Moolah match going short because of a wardrobe malfunction, which really sets the tone for this whole portion of Wrestlemania 2. We follow with a nothing filler match, and then have a generic battle royal where it seems like getting the guys in the ring and introducing them takes more time than getting everyone out! Just terrible. Fortunately, the tag title match is well worth your time. That match is the only 'required watching' that's needed from this card, unless you want to laugh at the wardrobe malfunction or see a still relatively new Hart Foundation get a bit of a rub from being some of the last in the battle royal."

The Battle Royal was a Battle Royal, so there's really nothing to look for except for the crowd reaction that some of the NFL players got. The Bulldogs vs The Dream Team was the only decent match worth checking out, but it still felt like they rushed the finish a little bit. Rosemont didn't get as robbed as Uniondale, but still it wasn't worth the ticket."

The main event was a great tag team match and is definitely worth watching."

The tag team main event was solid, and I enjoyed the end of the rumble (especially seeing a young Hart Foundation) but that was about it. Most of the rumble was really boring, and the first two matches were nothing."

Halle 1 (New York) gets a solid two, Halle 2 (Chicago) a 3, and Halle 3 a five. There's like two, maybe three matches I remember fondly from this show as a whole."

I fee like Fabulous Moolah and Velvet McIntyre could have had a good match had there not been a wardrobe malfunction. Poor Velvet got one Wrestlemania appearance and was done a minute and a half into the match. Better than the first tag, but not by a lot."

It starts with two blink-and-you-missed-them matches in Moolah vs. McIntyre and Kirchner vs. Volkoff that don't amount to much, but the WWF/NFL battle royal is reasonably entertaining for what it is, and this third concludes with the best match on the entire event in the Bulldogs vs. Dream Team Tag Title match."

The womens match is insanely short with Moolah going over despite being way past her prime. The Flag match was also barely a match with nothing to remember from it. The Battle Royale was a long strtch of nothingness followed by a fine finish with the Hart Foudation and Andre. We got one good match here, but Mania 2 is still living up to its awful reputation"

The first two matches were short, unimpressive, and poorly booked (the All American face cheats to beat the Anti-American heel...? ). The battle royal was boring (especially for me as I am not American and have no clue who any of the football players are other than the ones that I have seen elsewhere in wrestling, like Bill Fralic in WCW) and boy those introductions felt like they'd never end. Check out the tag title match if you enjoy old school wrestling, don't bother with the rest unless you're a completionist."

[6.0] "The second part of Wrestlemania II turned out better than the previous one. The first two matches are not to be missed, as they go together for less than five minutes. In the first one we saw a sprint in which both girls managed to show something, although it wasn't enough to make a full assessment. The ending was spoiled, with the challenger's foot on the ropes, but the referee counted to three. The second match started slowly, we thought we would see a five minute match, but it wasn't meant to be. Corporal sort of accidentally hit the referee, although it looked as if he was angry and hit him on purpose. It seems to me that a disqualification could be given for that. The referee decided differently, laying low for a bit, allowing Kirchner to win with an intercepted cane. I'm a fan of battle royals, so from an entertainment point of view I enjoyed it. The battle of football and wrestling looks good on paper, but it didn't really show in the match. I was pleasantly surprised when the Hart Foundation was left with Andre the Giant at the end of the match. I think it was quite an interesting and little-known moment from Bret's early career in the WWF. The winner, in my opinion, is the right one. Well the main event of the second part, the tag team titles match. I enjoyed it and recommend you watch it. Measured, with a couple of interesting moments, and perhaps most importantly, a triumph for the British Bulldogs. P.S Sometimes I felt sorry for Katie because there were moments when the commentators weren't paying attention to her. And when they asked her something, they ignored her answer. Maybe it was for the best, but it was a pity if anyone was in her shoes."
