[4.0] "So this was the first of 5 Star's very ambitious weekly TV show, the aim this night was a semi-final & final for 2 new championships. I managed to find a complete stream of the show that even included the dark matches. And the dark matches were exactly that, the first match showed very evidently the first of many issues on the night, and that was the ring ropes, as PJ slipped on them before and during the match. The 2nd of the dark matches was too quick to be anything and was basically a squash. As for the actual matches - [1st match] A very strange match, basically time wasting before a flurry of quick tap outs by Axl - who seemed to be booked like a monster. Interesting idea for a division, but a bad match to showcase it. ** [2nd match] Very sloppy early on, as Rampage really wanted to powerbomb Moose on the outside of the ring, but slipped first time in the same place BT Gunn did in the last match, so yet another potential peril with the ring setup. After trying again he messed it up and gave up. Finally the match settled into something good, although the finish was a little weird. *** [3rd match] Not bad but not good either, Carlito seemed to be phoning it in. **3/4 [4th match] Considering all the technical hiccups before & during the match... this was pretty good, although again we were denied a convincing clean pin. ***1/2 [5th match] Another reasonable match ruined by a crap finish. *** [6th match] Really good match, glad it was given more time than the previous semi-final tag match. Not a totally flawless match though, as Fleisch messed up a spot with Big Grizzly and was also another victim of the ropes of death. **** [Main] Well-matched in terms of each man's style, Morrisons's Stunts at times were comical and the finish could have been better, but this was serviceable. The fans seemed bored by this point of the show, as they were chanting all sorts. ***1/4 Technical issues aside, this was a very strange show to promote a weekly series with, as we only had one good finish, camera work was still bad (although infinitely better than the Dominant Wrestling show last time), and production was lame, as almost everyone came out to the same entrance music & graphics, maybe these things will eventually be ironed out. Like I said about the previous show, WWE & TNA talent being on the same show probably would have been worth watching around this time, although unfortunately you can tell most aren't giving it their all wrestling in front of small crowds in cavernous arenas. Maybe it was a better experience in-person, but this comes across as awful on TV."
[8.0] "I remember watching this show and thinking that, despite some technical issues, that British Wrestling was really going somewhere. Big card with a mix of British and overseas talents. I feel like if this had gone on longer, this show would have been remembered more fondly."
