| 2 | 16.04.2025 | brooksavage2004 | 2.0 | DDP and Nash Vs Perfect Event was solid and the three way tag ladder match was fantastic, but everything else on the show was a complete bore with so many of the undercard matches being flat out bad, messy and overbooked brawls and Reaction Vs Franchise was the worst out of all of them and one of the worst all time. Overall WCW Starrcade (2000) is a really bad and boring show. |

| 10 | 09.02.2023 | DanTalksRasslin | 4.0 | The final WCW Starrcade no longer felt like "the Grandaddy of Them All, " but it was at least not as bad as most of the company's 1999/2000 PPV output. There were at least a couple of genuinely good matches, most notably on the main part of the card a solid Tag Title match between DDP/Nash and the Perfect Event. The opener is another somewhat ahead-of-its-time match featuring 3 Count, the Jung Dragons and the team that split off from them; these teams would fight in various permutations on most of the PPVs from late 2000 to Superbrawl Revenge the following February, and the Starrcade match wasn't the best of them, but still entertaining. Steiner-Sid and Goldberg-Luger were a solid double-main event on paper that suffered from the overbooking that plagued WCW in its late era. Funk and Crowbar was also a pretty entertaining brawl and, in a similar vein, Awesome vs. Bigelow was OK too. Perhaps the biggest issue is simply that, again, this didn't *feel* like a Starrcade, between diminished production and an undercard that mostly had nothing that couldn't be accomplished on Nitro or Thunder. |
| 11 | 17.12.2022 | Derek Joists | 2.0 | And that was it for Starrcade, the original wrestling PPV. The opening match was genuinely great, a rarity in late WCW, but nothing else was even average, the legendary event going out with a whimper. In a few months WCW would be no more, and most people involved here must have at least suspected that was coming. |
| 12 | 04.11.2022 | 5nicoShuffle | 3.0 | It's a shame how downgraded Starrcade became, this being the last one WCW ever did, and it just might as well be another Nitro or Thunder, as there's little different to match qualities on offer. [1st match] This match undoubtedly is what you want to watch this PPV for, but it still has tons of faults, but also some innovations for the time. ***1/2 [2nd match] Rare good showing by The Cat, and Lance putting on a lackluster performance. Pretty amazing catfight from the women, awful blunder of a finish. ** [3rd match] Unplanned Hardcore match. Lots of running into walls and not much else. And of course there's a fire extinguisher in the match, as every WCW Hardcore match needs one of those apparently. 1/2* [4th match] Regular Tag match despite being story driven, yet another bizarre finish also. 1/2* [5th match] Started with some very weak brawling. The finish was really quite ingenious though, I loved it. **1/4 [6th match] Dull match with a lame finish. OMG... Shane's Franchiser finisher is absolutely awful, no wonder he hardly used it.** [7th match] Yet another Hardcore match, ironically the most Hardcore of the night. Started as a clueless brawl and yet actually became something of a tag match. Some spots with the random weapons worked better than others, I never thought anyone would go through that bar set, and yet Jarrett did. Rey's bump into the dumpster looked rough, but him popping out of it and taking out the Harris bros was good stuff. **1/4 [8th match] Pretty good tag match, thanks almost entirely to DDP - who was babyface in peril for most of the match. When Nash eventually tagged in, he did all his regular stuff. Crowd was actually alive for this match for once. *** [9th match] Streak vs Career: Typical Goldberg playbook match, Lex did hardly anything but get thrown around. Yet another swerve finish with Buff turning and getting involved, although he could easily have done more to screw Goldberg, and yet he didn't? *3/4 [Main] Pretty weak main, slow & lumbering. Later became overbooked, and in the end Sid went down to basically 2 low blows and a recliner. This performance doesn't immediately scream rematch, but that's almost what's lined up for Sin. *1/2 Very poor and forgettable PPV, even the highlight Ladder match is lost among the many better Ladder-type matches of this time. |

| 18 | 27.07.2020 | BAD BADD BATI | 6.0 | great ladder match opener , , the cat ruins every match he should've stayed a manager , , terry funk is the greatest , , reno suckssss, , awesome vs bam bam finish was the best thing in the match , , jarret and the harries boys vs the filthy animals was overbooked but real fun match , , i liked the insiders going over because natural born thrillers suck , , luger made me believe for a second that he will break the streak , , the main event was a better match than i expected and they made the right choice with steiner |
| 19 | 01.04.2020 | PhilMcRevasse | 5.0 | WCWs final Starrcade depressingly drags as the show goes on. The event kicks off with a chaotic, nonsensical and sometimes botchy ladder match that disappoints in comparison to the WWF alternative at the time, however it does feature some stars you will recognise. Terry Funk and Crowbar have a fun and sometimes unexpectedly violent match that some, including me, may enjoy for the chaos. Bam Bam and Mike Awesome have a decent brawl in their ambulance match too, however its nothing you should go out of your way to see. I would argue that The Filthy Animals against Jarrett and his goons, the Harris twins, is perhaps the "highlight". This is purely for fun with some strange weaponry including a dangerous bar table that scatters large, sharp splinters across the ring and a shopping trolley full of empty fizzy drink cans. Its ridiculous but a fun match. The final stretch is where this PPV majorly fails to the deliver in an utterly boring match between General Rection and the Franchise as well as an average battle over the tag championships. Goldberg and Luger should be avoided like the plague- it is diabolical to watch with a messy and convoluted ending. Finally, Starrcade caps off with a hard hitting brawl between Sid Vicious and Scott Steiner. After the last few bouts, maybe my judgement was damaged but I actually enjoyed this match for what it was. It played into the strengths of the combatants with heavy hits and brawling all around the ring. However, it felt like a build up to a pay off that we never receive and suffers from an abrupt and deflating ending which marks the end of the very last Starrcade. Overall, nothing here is worth going out of your way to see while the action for those who want to see it varies from OK to plodding boredom. Despite this, I guess this event holds some historical value. |

| 27 | 04.03.2018 | Mizzle Assault Ant | 5.0 | Another shaky show that skates by as ok simply by being far better than anything Russo booked. The opening match is the peak of the card, it's actually an awesome proto-MITB car crash style match that works on a lot of levels. Storm/Cat is not good, and Funk/Crowbar could have been ok but it's full of unprotected chair shots so it's pretty uncomfortable. The Kronik also could have been alright, but the twist is pretty dumb so it's a mixed bag. Awesome/Bigelow is a somewhat enjoyable brawl with a gimmicky finish. Rection/Douglas is an aggressively boring match, like incredibly so. Six man tag is a ridiculous plunder brawl but not a very good one. Insiders/Event is an alright tag match, DDP is by far the best and should probably be above the tag division. Luger/Goldberg is a passable hoss battle, though again a very stupid turn spoils some of the fun. Steiner/Sid is pretty bad because, well, it's Sid, but as terrible main events go I guess I've seen worse? Check out the opening match for sure, but you can probably skip the rest. |
| 28 | 29.12.2017 | test85 | 5.0 | 1. (3 3/4*) 2. Storm gegen Cat ist dann wieder schwach. (1 1/2*) 3. (2 1/4*) 6. Rection gegen Douglas war schlecht. (1/4*) 7. 6 Man Match war in Ordnung. Einige nette Spots z. B. Rey im Dumpster. (3*) 8. TT Title Match war solide. (3*) 9. CO ME war schlecht. (1/4*) 10. ME für einen Starrcade ME enttäuschend. (1/4*) |
