Next two matches were alright. Nothing to write about. Nakajima/Ohara vs Hi69/Yone was good, with the team of champs being the clearly superior one. Shiozaki vs Hall was fine. Cody looked a bit lost at times, but Go managed to carry him to decent match. Kotoge vs Kitamiya was just alright for most of the duration of the match, but it went from 0 to 100 when Kitamiya almost broke his neck on a super frankensteiner. After that, the match became much hotter and ended up being very good. Main event, despite rather slow first couple of minutes, managed to be very entertaining. Marufuji and Sugiura beat the crap out of each other as they usually do, Kenoh was great as always and Maybach did good aswell. Decent show considering it had a rather unspectacular card."
[5.0] "A Quality main event and a awesome turnbuckle Frankensteiner in the semis, made up for a lackluster undercard. Atsushi Kotoge -vs- Masa Kitamiya [** 1/2] - Disappointing match at first. Felt like they were just walking around doing random stuff without any thought into building the match up. Then in the 12th minute they had a lucky break when Kitayama took an awesome bump on the turnbuckle Frankensteiner! The fans finally had something to care about and the two rode the wave for the remainder of the match feeding off the response. There was something old school about that. And to have such a spontaneous reaction happen in NOAH these days was nice to feel. Takashi Sugiura & Kenou (c) -vs- Naomichi Marufuji & Maybach Taniguchi – (GHC Tag Title) [*** 1/4] — Not much structure, but full of aggression! Taniguchi actually came across as the monster to beat with both Suigiura & Kenou having to target the strong man. And they did so big-time! Incredibly well executed strikes, especially by Kenou. It was simply a good showcase for all involved and it felt like it had a purpose regardless of an excessive length. One of NOAH’s best moments of 2017!"
