I enjoyed this show but its not really one that you can rate any higher than this - its one that fans of AWG might find interesting to go back to to see the earlier days of some of their now established wrestlers than one where you'll see great matches. The Hotta-Takase match is interesting - its a Hotta rookie match so one sided but you see glimpses of what Takase would become (her trying to use power moves on Hotta was fun) and its a good example of that sort of match. The opener is Hikari Shimizu's debut match and also decent; there are some awkward moments (at one point Shimizu seems to not know whether to do a full Boston, a Cloverleaf or a Single Leg Boston and you see her change holds twice before locking in the latter) but the finish looked great with Tam hitting some great looking kicks: the last one sounding like it might have genuinely got Shimizu based on her reactions after the match unless she was already a supreme seller. The Poiman match was the down bit of the show: its always fun to see a Mask Fiesta gimmick outside of that environment and Black Poteko almost feels like a prototypical version of Anou's character in OZ Academy but the match itself wasn't overly interesting and the finish (invoking Kagawa going away and coming back wearing some sort of helmet) was the sort of comedy reference that goes well over my head and I didn't really get it. The show wasn't meant for release at the time so its all single cam at ringside which doesn't help the show: anything is better than nothing though. All in all "adequate" sums this show up: I got what I expected and enjoyed it but its not something anyway needs to go out of their way to watch."
