[0.0] "Ich habe schon etliche, wenn nicht sogar viele WCW PPVs in den Jahren 1996-2000 gesehen, aber dieser hier toppt alles. Grottenschlecht vom Anfang bis zum Ende. Einzig Funk vs. Flair und Vampiro vs. Kidman waren erträglich."

[2.0] "A bad event held early in what would be a terrible year for WCW. On the positive side, the Flair vs. Funk Texas Death Match is actually pretty decent, but it's saying something when the easy pick for match of the night is between two of the oldest and most past-their-prime members of the roster. There are certainly some notable lowlight though - the infamous "Skins" match where Tank Abbott pulls a knife on Big Al; Booker T losing to an out-of-shape Ahmed Johnson in a feud over ownership of the Harlem Heat name and the letter "T"; the Miller-Maestro segment with a surprise appearance from James Brown, who does... not much of anything, despite the segment taking an eternity; a midcard match between the Wall and the KISS Demon that's billed as a "main event" to fulfill the licensing deal with KISS, which the Demon proceeds to get squashed in in three minutes. There are a few decent performances here and there, but between the overbooking and all the silliness it's a tough watch overall."

[2.0] "Without Jericho and the Radicalz to fill up the mid card, WCW is left with a mid card of going no where mediocrity, and a main event scene full of over the hill guys past their expiry date. Combine that with the Grade F writing of The Evil One, and you have a recipe for a horrible night. I feel bad for any kid out there who could only buy one PPV and chose this show over No Way Out."

[1.0] "The card here consisted almost entirely of has beens and never weres. There was a random... thing... featuring James Brown that seemed to go on for longer than any of the matches, and was at least as entertaining as most of them, which isn't saying much. There's a couple of barely watchable matches, but it's pretty awful from start to finish."

[3.0] "Very weird PPV with lots of short matches - which I'm usually fond of, but many of these seemed pointless and could & should have been cut. A fair few gimmick matches here also, although only really two of them are worth watching. [1st match] Probably the worst two finalists to compete for this Title try to work together. Messy brawl for the most part, low energy in-ring and from the crowd. *3/4 [2nd match] Probably the worst hardcore match put out so far from WCW. Very rushed; they brawl backstage very briefly, before heading back to ringside. Very little selling here, especially from Knobbs's two table break spots, which he practically no-sold. Dumb finish also. -** [3rd match] Silly offense & dancing. Only heat came when 3 count removed Smiley's Football jersey. ** [4th match] Demon pretty much was fed to The Wall, but competed in his obligatory "Main Event" at least. Demon damned near killed Wall after launching him off the turnbuckle, very unsafe match. 1/2* [5th match] Another death was almost witnessed here post-match, as Abbot whips out a knife on Big Al in what might have been a shoot, as he seemed to botch the finish of the pseudo-MMA (or whatever this was) pole match. -*** [6th match] Actually pretty one-sided until the weird finish. **1/4 [7th match] One of the better matches of the night. But even so, it had botches & miscommunications galore. **3/4 [8th match] Suprisingly good gimmick match, just a shame that the camera couldn't keep up with all the chaos at times. *** [9th match] Probably better than expected, but I still think it went too long. ***1/4 [10th match] Well it's a Hogan/Luger match? so you can probably tell who goes over, and how even the match itself goes. ** [Main] Basically every card is stacked against Sid, with even Jarrett & Hall getting the jump before he comes out. Match really breaks down into chaos, with Jarrett committing refcide until he gets a crooked one. But then Roddy Piper makes the save and count the winning fall, but does he even have any power at this point? all this made Jeff look a total loser, Hall really is a forgotten inclusion here, but eats the pin for story continuation. * While not exactly horrible, I was still longing for this show to end. WCW obviously seem to think at this point that more is better, which it just isn't. Disappointing crowd here also, they didn't make much noise for anything. Except for James Brown's payoff, although that also could have been cut to save some time and use that time for some of the matches."

[3.0] "Die WCW im letzten Jahr, "The lunatics have taken over the asylum". Viel Schrott und wenig was gut war, aber Vampiro gegen Kidman fand ich nicht schlecht. Das Ü50-Match zwischen Flair und Funk war auch ganz solide, für so zwei alte Haudegen. Legendär das Tank Abbott nach der Messer-Nummer direkt weiter von der Promotion eingesetzt wurde, ich vermute diese Aktion war vorher nicht abgesprochen. Bobby Heenan fehlte hier als PPV-Kommentator natürlich. Bei seinem Ersatz Mark Madden wusste ich teilweise nicht, ob er das, was er da sagte, bewusst sagte oder provozieren wollte bzw. sich blöd gestellt hat. Luger gegen Hogan war gar nicht so übel und Hogan damals auf jeden Fall immer noch ziemlich "over". Main Event typischer WCW-Stil damals, hätte aber auch schlimmer sein können. Ingesamt war die Show besser, als ich es erwartet habe, aber immer noch weit davon entfernt wirklich gut zu sein, klar."

[1.0] "Allein schon die Häufigkeit, mit der ich bei diesem PPV anstatt auf den Bildschirm auf mein Handy geschaut habe, spricht dafür, dass bei dieser Veranstaltung eigentlich kaum irgendwas interessantes passiert ist. Und in der Tat sind die Matches hier zumeist kurz und schlecht und wenn sie nicht kurz sind, hofft man dass sie kürzer wären, damit das ganze schneller vorbei ist. Wenn man nicht wirklich das Ziel hat, aus Prinzip alle WCW-PPVs zu schauen, dann kann man hier geflegt auch dran vorbeigehen. Eigentlich sind alle Tätigkeiten sinnvoller, als Superbrawl 2000 schauen."

[3.0] "It's not quite as bad as Russo, but it's pretty bad. Mark Madden's PPV debut on commentary, and he's very bad. Lash/Prince is kind of weak, but at least Oklahoma's not champion. Bigelow/Knobbs is passable, nothing that good though. 3 Count/Smiley is a decently fun match, and Wall/Demon is also passable for what it is. Tank/Al is pretty lousy, and Booker/Big T is not much better, with a stupid ending. Kidman/Vampiro is passable again, but seriously there hasn't been an actually good match on the show yet. Mamalukes/Crowbar & Flair changes that with a some surprisingly great fun, mostly thanks to Crowbar doing crazy spots, but Vito & Bull do well too, as does Daffney. James Brown infamously appears unadvertised and dances around. Funk/Flair is another actually fun match, nowhere near their peak but there's some good stuff there. Hogan/Luger is pretty bad, we've gone back in time and not in a good way. The 3way main event is the worst match on the show, overbooked nonsense with a guy who can barely work, a guy who can barely function, and a guy who had no business main eventing. Figure out which is which if you want. The crowd doesn't care about any of it, and the finish is Roddy Piper returning, though he looks miserable to be there. Not exactly a show I would recommend."

[2.0] "1. Opener war in Ordnung. Doch von vergangenen Zeiten der Cruiserweights doch einiges entfernt. (2 1/4*) 2. Knobs gegen Bigelow der übliche WCW Hardcore Mist. Warum lässt man Bigelow nicht den Title? (1/4*) 3. Auch das Handicap Match war nicht gut. Warum sollte Smiley ein solches Match überhaupt bestreiten? Das erschließt sich mir nicht ganz. Er hat doch kein Standing eines Goldbergs z. B. dass er mit mehreren Gegnern den Boden aufwischen kann. (1 3/4*) 4. Kiss Demon gegen The Wall war schlecht. (1/4*) 5. Tank Abbott gegen Big Al war eine Qual. Eines der schwächsten "Matches" die ich je gesehen habe. Dazu wird hier noch ordentlich gebotcht. Gott sei dank blieb uns Tank Abbott als World Champion erspart. (-*****) 6. Big T gegen Booker war schlecht. Ahmed war nie ein ordentlicher Worker und Booker im Singles Bereich auch noch nicht so weit. Dazu noch diese bescheuerte Story um das "T". (0*) 7. Kidman gegen Vampiro aus meiner Sicht das Highlight in dieser Nacht. Hätte ruhig etwas länger gehen können. (3*) 8. Mamalukes gegen Crowbar & Flair war besser als erwartet. (2 1/2*) 9. Ric Flair und Funk war in Ordnung. Man merkt das beide sich gut kennen und dadurch harmonierten sie gut. Leider juckte mich das Match im Jahr 2000 aber nicht mehr. Trotzdem Hut ab das beide hier noch ordentlich bumpen. (3*) 10. Hogan gegen Luger war mies. Face Hogan cheatet sich zum Sieg. Auch diese beiden hätte ich im 2000er Jahr nicht mehr gebraucht. (-**) 12. Der ME war dann enttäuschend. Den ganzen PPV über aufgebaut und dann bekommt er nicht einmal 8 Minuten. Dazu noch overbooking pur. Ne das war nichts. (1*)"

[2.0] "Eine weitere dieser WCW Shows, in der es wirklich kein einziges überzeugendes Match gibt. Das ganze beginnt mit schwacher Cruiserweight Action am Anfang des PPVs, geht weiter mit beklopptem Hardcore, Normal Smiley gegen Three Count und dem KISS Demon, findet sein vorläufiges Highlight in einem total konfusen Strecher Match, doch all dies wird noch mit dem Main Event überboten, in den man so viel wie möglich hineinquetschen wollte, wodurch es in 7 Minuten tatsächlich drei (oder auch vier, weiß nicht mehr genau) Ref Bumps gibt. Dennoch: Diese Events sind ein Teil der Geschichte der WCW und können auf ihre trashige Art und Weise ganz unterhaltsam sein. Daher 2 Punkte."

[2.0] "So schnell kanns gehen. Zwischen 96 und 98 haben die Chruserweights häufig die Show schon im Opener gestohlen. Im Jahr 2000 werden mir im Opener schon alle Hoffnungen auf dieses Event zerstört (3/4*). Danach gehts weiter mit fürchterlichem Hardcore Gekloppe , mit einem grauenhaften Finish (1/2*). Handicap Match ist auf einer Stufe , nur vlt noch etwas peinlicher (1/2*). Wall vs Demon hasst die Crowd genau wie ich von Minute 1 an (1/4*). Das folgende Match ist ganz sicher eines der schlechtesten Matches aller Zeiten. Zudem noch mit einem völlig verhunzten Finish (DUD). Big T vs Booker ist bis hierhin tatsächlich das beste Match , trotz einem merkwürdigem Finish (*). Kidman und Vampiro toppen die Leistung , mit einem dennoch sehr enttäuschendem Match (*1/2). Das Strecher Match hat mir um einiges besser gefallen als ich es erwartet habe , aber die Sache mit dem Tape war blödsinn (*1/2). Das Death Match war nicht allzu grausam , aber das Finish war furchtbar (*1/4). Erwartet schlechtes Hogan/Luger Match (1/2*). Stark overbooktes Main Event , aber recht unterhaltsam (*1/4) . Meine Werzungen sagen eigentlich schon genug aus. So ziemlich der schlechteste PPV den ich bisher gesehen habe."

[3.0] "Leider sehr enttäuschend der PPV. Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk war Match des Abends, ansonsten sehr sehr mager was die WCW zum Schluss ihrer Geschichte hervorgebracht hat. Schade schade."

[4.0] "Der alte Klassiker Flair vs Funk rulte auch nach über 10 Jahren immer noch, aber sonst hatte der Jubiläumssuperbrawl nur ganz wenig zu bestellen! Hogan vs Luger zählte noch zum Besseren!"

[4.0] "Zwei alte Herren (Flair und Funk) sowie Kidman und Vampiro retten diesen PPV vor dem Absturz. Ansonsten viel Unsinn, aber wenigsten waren noch Reste von Logik zu erkennen."
