[6.0] "A fine show, the Shibata/Suzuki tag and the main event are very good and worth watching the rest is just alright"

[5.0] "Togi Makabe gets a semi-motivated NJPW roster celebrating his 20th Anniversary with a solid mid-range Korakuen Hall show. The weirdest thing that happened was Henare slipping his footing running the ropes and injuring his Achilles tendon.... the same thing that Makabe did early in his career, which they'd just shortly before shown in the video introduction to the show! Henare will be out for months. Minoru Suzuki & Takashi Iizuka & Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Taichi -vs- Yuji Nagata & Katsuyori Shibata & Jushin Thunder Liger & Tiger Mask [** 3/4] - The Suzuki-gun make this midcard come to life! Not difficult when you have Shibata on the opposite side. Didn't expect them to be this motivated on Makabe’s show, but good for us they were for it got fairly exciting, but naturally Suzuki-gun have plenty of tricks up their sleeves and there was little the New Japan veterans could do about that here. Kazuchika Okada & Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI -vs- Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima & Manabu Nakanishi [** 1/2], Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma -vs- Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii [** 1/2] — Former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Togi Makabe celebrating his 20 years in pro-wrestling with his usual match against his usual opponents…. but we’re supposed to care about his moments tonight. And the crowd did, helping making it feel important. Not that it was any different to his other semi-motivated matches, but he got to celebrate the night his way."

[7.0] "It was on the same level of quality as your average "Road to" show, some great stuff like setting up Shibata vs. Suzuki, and a decent tag team main event, but nothing too incredible. Worth a watch if you have 2 hours to kill because its all good but not essential viewing."
