[5.0] "The first match was star-studded, fast, daring and just plain cool, the second match was explosive but too short to give its full potential, the third match was a step below the others but still fluid and enjoyable despite the lack of immediate chemistry, and the fourth match had huge chemistry and a great dynamic but felt way too short again with a puzzling result. Gacy/Cage was not effective, as Brian Cage overclassed Joe Gacy in every respect, making the champion look way out of his depth and his win look like a huge fluke, burying him and the title in the process. The Scramble Match was fun, original and would have long-term impact for CZW. Dave/Elgin was very boring, feeling very sluggish and uninspired, leading to a cheap finish that hurts the Finals credibility. Fox/Strickland was a cool matchup with some precise high-flying, but the match never seem to go into the next gear, just content on doing pretty stuff but never going for through innovation and producing the true classic it could have been. Pentagon/Tremont was an amazing battle, putting Pentagon in an hardcore environment where he surprisingly and excel, and despite the unnecessary outside shenanigans and the casual ending, this was a cool match that feels memorable. Dave/Strickland was an entertaining Finals when Shane Strickland controlled with his big offense, but the ending was the dirtiest in tournament history and really taints the whole thing. The first round had big lineups and cool action, but everything felt easy too short and barely scratched their full potential. Both semifinals were underwhelming, and the Finals good action was drowned by a dirty deflating finish. Really, the whole tournament has a stellar lineup, making for fun moments, and some judicious non-title exhibition matches bring additional spice to the show, but the sheer amount of wasted potential and botched execution make the quality crash down to being merely average some of the biggest waste of talent in CZW history."

[7.0] "The two first opening matches was a verry fun to watch (**3/4). Elgin vs. Henry vs. Sky vs. Wentz was maybe a a little bit better than the others so (***). Callihan vs. Dave Crist vs. Jake Crist vs. Fenix (**3/4). Joey Gacy (c) vs. Bian Cage for the CZW World Heavyweight Title was a okay match (**1/2). The next match was a the eight way match (**1/2). The the two semi final match 1st Elgin vs Dave Crist was a pretty good with brawl in the crowd too (***1/4). The 2nd match between AR Fox and Strickland was verry cool! (***). The Next match Matt Tremont vs. Penta el Zero M in a Deathmatch was amazing they used light tubes, door, tables, chairs.. Match of the Night! (****). Crist and Strickland in the final was a good match (***1/4). Overall a good show!"

[9.0] "No idea why the rating for this show is as low as it is. Defiantly the best BOTB in recent years. Had 4 good fun spot fest tournaments openers. The Joe Gacy/ Brian Cage match was also pretty good, didn't think much of the role up finish though (***1/2). The 8 way was a super fun spot fest (***1/4). Dave Crist vs Big Mike was good. The brawling in the crowd in my opinion wasn't too boring, and there was also good in ring action too. AR Fox vs Shane Strickland was a great highflying match which had an awesome moonsault spot (***1/2). Pentagon vs Tremont was a really great death match and just shows that Penta can pretty much wrestle every style. Dave Crist vs Shane Strickland Was a good final match. It was a little bit long, but did tell a good story (***1/2)."

[5.0] "Overall a disappointing BOTB. The tournament wrestlers were maybe tired after doing multiple matches in the previous days and fans tired after seeing multiple indy shows. Traditionally BOTB has been a very high energy junior-heavyweight tournament, but this one lacked passion and intensity. Did not like the booking and it left most of the workers underused. The venue had much less audience in it than in some of the WM-weekend days, which effected it negatively. BOTB in Florida - maybe looked good in paper, but the execution and end result was not good. For a show that was purely only about the matches, it was underachieving. Dezmond Xavier vs. Janela vs. Rush vs. Strickland was the most lively opening round match that really had some intensity and the crowd behind it. The valet-girls ruined some spots at the second match. Did not like Jason Cade. Final match was good despite the IMO bad finish. The rest of the matches were disappointing. Crist vs Elgin had no effort in it. MOTN: Matt Tremont vs. Penta 0M - This special match stole the show and got the crowd fired up. Kevin Sullivan was not a good ref, but it didn´t really matter since he left before the finish and the guys did their thing. Huge respect for Pentagon Jr. for doing this deathmatch. Tremont is such a passionate worker with huge hearth, despite he´s physical situation after years of taking punishment. Maybe a bit slow, but the match build up for the spots super nicely and feed of from the crowd. Onita announced!"

[7.0] "The first two 4-Ways were fun spotfests (~***). Elgin/Henry/Scorpio/Wentz was a margin better, with Elgin destroying everybody being a lot more exciting than just the spotiness of the previous matches (***1/2). The OI4K/Fenix 4-Way was a little more exciting than the first 2 (***1/4). Gacy vs Cage was trying to be a high-profile big man title match but it just failed to be engaging outside of one shot, the assisted cannonball to Cage on the outside; exceedingly average (**1/4). The 8-Way match was another fun spotfest with a lighter tone; Mascarita Dorada stood out as he does in multi-mans in Mexico (***). Crist vs Elgin started with a very long brawl into the bleachers that didn't really do much for me, and then once they got back into the ring it started improving, but not to anything exceptional (***). Strickland and Fox are two of the more interesting fliers on the indies in terms of their offense, Fox being innovative and Strickland having some strong strikes, however, like much of this show a lot of the matches felt spotty; this one had some more interesting spots and picked up some towards the end though (***1/4). Tremont vs Penta as the show's only deathmatch had its own separate atmosphere. This was brutal and had Matt bloodied from the start, but there was still a structure to it; I enjoyed how they built up to the lighttubes and when they got to them they went all-out, and while Sullivan wasn't the best referee, his use of getting rid of Stockade was neat; this was a really cool change of pace (***3/4). Tremont vs Onita was announced, holy fuck. Strickland vs Crist started more methodically than other tournament matches, and had an actually interesting brawl on the outside, and then actually built things up and had some momentum in the match; I think Dave was put over a little bit too hard in terms of his resiliency when he's the heel, but this actually felt like a tournament final and had a neat finish (***1/2). Enjoyable show that under-delivered a tad."
