[6.0] "They really gave Scott Putski and Finlay over 10 minutes to start the wrestling and it's not bad. Kind of nice to have a match not just end before it can pickup. For a Nitro before Starrcade, I'm having a lot of fun. Flair coming back and attacking Bischoff and Barry Windham was cool but the Four Horseman being arrested was really funny. The LWO is also really good here as Eddie and Rey have yet another banger. I'm really surprised they're trying to do a breakup angle with High Voltage and people don't really care. I miss the tag belts."

[7.0] "We get a solid start to a Nitro for once with an almost 15-minute fight between Finlay and Putski, which even the crowd gets into at times even if the commentators don't care much. Ernest Miller for some reason trash-talks santa, but OH MY GOD it's SATURN in a DISGUISE! Funny enough, but... poor Saturn. Chavo beats Kaz Hayashi WAY too fast (poor Hayashi) and Nash has some words. Raven finally snaps in defense of his mommy... which is another awful storyline going on. At least we get a REAL treat as Eddie Guerrero tries to teach Rey a lesson in an intensely entertaining match where Eddie among other things tries to rip apart Rey's mask. It just really sucks how quiet the crowd is, and how they decide to go for a commercial break in the middle of it. Of course it's a screwy finish, as the ref gets knocked out and Kidman accidentally knocks out Rey before Eddie takes the win. Steiner and Bagwell does the thing where they trash talk the city they're in, which is pretty funny this time, before we get some filler matches, though we at least get Ric Flair's rendition of the Nutcracker on Barry Windham and we get a brawl between the nWo and the 4 Horsemen, which, I mean, you love to see it, until we get a shouting match as Bischoff appears. I know they're trying to hype up for Starrcade, but I just find myself unable to get excited for it. While it's fun to see Alex Wright again, the match is just boring from beginning to end and neither really get to show off what they're good for. Not a grat connection between these two, and the TV title is going through a bit of a rough patch with Konnan wearing it. The main event isn't really a main event, it's just more build-up for the PPV. All in all a really solid installment that succeeds in hyping up for Starrcade!"

[6.0] "Good go-home Nitro with fun angles and big intrigue for Starrcade. Flair and Goldberg are red hot, Saturn Claus vs. The Cat was a blast, and Mysterio vs. Eddie delivered a fantastic TV match"

[7.0] "Some great and funny angles. Eric and Flair produce 3 great angles, Saturn Claus beats the Cat up, Buff dresses up and mocks Mark Mcguire. A long card, with some good matches. Overall, good Nitro! Next up Starrcade!"

[8.0] "Fun go home show for Nitro, lots of intrigue surrounding the top matches such as the title match and Flair vs. Bischoff coming in red hot. Flair and Goldberg are over as hell. Mysterio vs. Eddie was a fantastic TV match to boot."
