[7.0] "There was no way I wouldn't check-out the retirement show of a woman who wore a cannabis leaf, and reggae colors, on her gear. As many of you know, Japan has draconian laws against marijuana. Yet that hasn't stopped many natives from alluding to the drug either via their fashion or varying nightlife indulgences. Once travelling in Chugoku's largest city, Matsue, I ran across a bar whose external theme was the ganja. I entered, sat-down, ordered a drink, and read. The Japanese are people who will not be forthcoming until they feel assured that you're not a parasitic spirit; this especially holds true for gaikokujin. It was a weeknight, and as I'm sure there are few foreigners in this part of Japan, it was natural that the patrons' curiosity would be piqued. So after an hour or so, I went back to the barkeep and ordered a second drink while pointing at the entire establishment as it was almost a paean to that beautiful weed. He smiled, but then said 'No. ' I shrugged my shoulders, 'Why? ' He answered 'I like. ' 'Let's do, ' I offered, he shook his head. So I went back to my table, took out a pouch and rolled myself something. He walked over to me, handed me my 2nd drink, saw what I was doing, and became somewhat agitated. I assured him, in here, 'No. ' The poor sods; Grass is an idiosyncratic drug, the Japanese are into harmony and a disciplined social conformity/work ethic. Evidently, the side effects of the communcal drug alcohol are much more preferred by the powers that be. Anyway, this was a fun show hilighted by the sheer number of wrestlers asked to/volunteered to work. (I wonder the pay scale on one-off retirement shows like these. ) Kyoko's always been a decent carpenter heel and it was touching to see all the tributes at the end of the gig as well as mother-daughter publicly work w/ each other one last time. [10.0] "Great show, I had a blast watching it. Mix of great action and great comedy. The trios match was an epic ass beating, but actually my favorite match was the battle royal, which was legitimately hilarious."
