[6.0] "A pretty strong first night of this pretty historic tournament. This was really eye opening for me when I first saw it back when it happened because at the time I only was familiar with Pete Dunne & Joseph Conners through WCPW and Danny Burch through NXT, so seeing all of the other thirteen guys in this tournament for the first time was a real treat and since this night I have become a huge fan of guys like Tyler Bate, Jordan Devlin, Wolfgang and Mark Andrews, among others. This sets up great for night two with some great matches to come and they already have set up good characters both heel and face going forward. Solid 3 star show."

Though none of the other matches were that good, this was a great, exciting start to a unique tournament. There was something special in the air on these nights."

[7.0] "Really good show! Good showing from all the competitors! The promos of each competitors before their matches really got me intrigued for each match and gave each wrestler personality's. Going in to this I only knew a few of the competitors (Pete Dunne, Mark Andrews, Danny Burch, Trent Seven, Joseph Connors). Michael Cole did really good commentating with Nigel which I liked. This show really showed me some great UK talent and now most of these wrestlers have gained new fans. Excited for night two!"

[5.0] "All of the matches were far too rushed to produce anything impressive. The crowd was also typically smarky; desperate to take away from the matches by yelling and singing random things to appeal for cheap laughs, affecting many matches' momentum and focus. Seven vs Dyer was average. Seven was eccentric but intriguing. **3/4. Burch vs Devlin was MOTN with a nice narrative with Devlin being Balor's heel apprentice against the strong and fiery Burch. ***1/4. Gradwell vs Huxley was ruined by the crowd, but Gradwell had an interesting aggressive character. **. Dunne vs Johnson was fine. Dunne's character felt forced, but his body-part targeting was good. **1/4. T-Bone vs Wolfgang was also fine. T-Bone's brawling was bad, but Wolfgang's power and agility was great. **1/4. Drake vs Conners had a story with Conners' ear, but I couldn't tell them apart 90% of the time and they were botch heels, which was just confusing. **. Moloney vs Andrews was another boring match. Andrews' high flying was fine, but he didn't appear unique. **. Tucker vs Bate was good. Bate's character, like Dunne's, felt far too forced and his catch wrestling style made Tucker look stupid by comparison for falling for such stupid moves. Tucker was much more impressive with his high flying imo. Both were athletically impressive and told a fine story though. ***. Mediocre first night, but I feel strong foundations were put in place for the second night."

In just two hours, most of the guys in this tournament were given more character than any of the competitors in the Cruiserweight Classic. All the matches were solid and it was nice to see Cole have fun without Vince shouting in his ear. Can't wait to see what Night 2 has in store"

[6.0] "It was a solid show with some weak matches hurting the final rate. Wolfgang vs T-Bone was the first good match of the show with Mandrews vs Moloney following. The main event was really great and it was the MOTE. I really love the british crowd. The JESUS chants were awesome. Let's hope for an even better show after this one."

[7.0] "I like tournaments like this one because of the different Wrestling styles, but I have to say two hours of qualifying matches are too much of a distraction. It's easy to see talent in some of the wrestlers (Wolfgang, Dunn, Bate, Seven), but there is not a single recommended match. My favorite one is Devlinn vs Burch, with a brutal Roundhouse Kick at the end. Not great but it's an acceptable start for the tournament, it's something different than usual and promotes indy Wrestling, okay for me, I don't understand the complains, it gives a chance to everyone."

[6.0] "Getting to the bad first here. Sam Gradwell Vs Saxon Huxley was TERRIBLE. Dunne Vs Johnson wasn't that great either. MOTN for me was Devlin Vs Burch. It was a good match and actually set Devlin up as a good heel. Bate Vs Tucker was a close second and really showed both guys ability. Hoping to see Devlin Vs Conners in the final."

[8.0] "A fun 2 hours of wrestling, for sure. Seven vs Dyer was a fun opener with some hard hits and a hilariously-named "Seven Star" Rainmaker finish (***1/4). Devlin vs Burch was a very good match with a couple of miscommunications; the botched finish managed to get Devlin more heat as Burch laid bleeding and having only barely lost, so I'd say it makes up for it (***1/2). Gradwell vs Huxley was a bore in the ring, but one of the most entertaining for the crowd making their own fun during it (**1/4 strictly for the wrestlers' work). Dunne vs Johnson was mostly good when Dunne was on offense, but Roy Johnson is pretty much all gimmick and strength so sadly the match wasn't anything better than solid (***). Wolfgang vs T-Bone was actually a really hot little hossfight with some great hits and fun highspots from Wolfgang (***1/2). Conners vs Drake was alright, but forgettable (**3/4). Andrews vs Moloney was a solid match, but the crowd reaction for Mandrews brought it up some (***1/4). Bate vs Tucker didn't seem like the likely main event from the onset, but the two of them delivered HARD; Bate's strength and charm was obvious from the start, but Tucker actually showed something here that none of the other unknowns did, especially that FUCKING kick. Great main event here (***3/4). Nigel & Cole were a good announce team on this as well, and the angle at the end with Dunne and Regal was the shit, I loved it. Overall an enjoyable show with only one below-average match."

[7.0] "Thought this was a solid show overall and enjoyed it for what it was worth. Conners vs Drake is the only bad match on the show IMO as everything else I found decent or enjoyable and I'd give Bate/Tucker MOTN (***1/2). Crowd was great and Nigel & Cole on commentary was like a breath of fresh air for me."

[9.0] "Really good stuff. I'd say that's a very healthy final 8 and I'm really excited for the finals. Only Trent Seven for me I didn't see anything in on first impression really. The highlights were the Bate match and the great angle with Dunne at the end. They're on to something here."

[7.0] "This was a very good showcase of the talent that will be moving into the next round. I can understand that some people would be abit upset that the matches were very short (only one match was longer that 10 mins) but I think that was a very good choice. Having all the matches be short left me wanting more. So now that I have seen the basic move sets of all the competitors, I am very excited to see what happens next. Overall good show that served it's purpose of getting me interested in day 2, which I now am."
