[1.0] "The men's MITB ladder match was real fantastic, but everything else was just a pure bore and both all the match finishes and booking of this show were ever so nonsensical, New Day Vs Usos was going solid but the count out finish kills it with the Usos walking out, Mahal Vs Orton was weak, Naomi Vs Lana and Breezango Vs Ascension both being awful and so was the first ever women's MITB ladder being won by a man which lead to that match being redone on Smackdown just so the actual winner of the match Carmella would win it fairly, the men's MITB ladder being won by Corbin and his run as Mr MITB would starta trend of unworthy MITB winners and failures for a good few years. Overall WWE Money In The Bank (2017) is a horrible show thanks to it weak and boring in ring product and it's booking being a complete joke."

Naomi vs Lana was boring. The WWE title match was fine but not great. Breezango vs ascension was short. Mens MITB was fine, but baron corbin was the winner and he failed to cash in his MITB. Easily the Worst MITB PPV."

[3.0] "A lot of stuff about this PPV was off-kilter. For one, this was after MitB had displaced Survivor Series as the fourth-biggest show on WWE's calendar, but it was SmackDown-exclusive. It was during WWE's slow (and arguably, still ongoing) equalisation of women's wrestling and hosted the first women's Money in the Bank ladder match that was won by a man. Jinder Mahal was WWE Champion. And the men's briefcase went to Baron Corbin of all people? Now, I'm not a Corbin hater by any means - I think he serves a valuable purpose to WWE and any promotion would be lucky to have him - but despite their efforts between 2017 and 2019, Corbin simply does not have main event aura, which goes a lot to explain why he eventually failed his cash-in. Like many PPVs of the time, it promises much but delivers very little."

Tag title match was pretty good but was ruined by the count out ending***1/4. Naomi/lana was total trash waste of time DUD. Orton/mahal was the same match they had a month before nothing much here*1/2. Breedango match was another waste of time DUD. Men MITB match was very good but still nothing much memorable at all outside the naka/aj stare down***3/4. Overall, the show was a big joke with terrible ending/booking which made the crowd look like idiots."

Lana existed and it was a true zero, Jinder Vs. Orton was ok (but I dislike both), Main Event was good (****). Also the segments (Fashion Vice, the Kanellis' debut) were very good, short and to the point."

If Carmella cash right here we would've been up for a great storyline. That missed opportunity is actually my only complain. Usos vs. New Day was one of the best tag team match I've seen in a while in WWE, the men's ladders match was a killer as expected, and the Women's and WWE Championships bouts were much better than expected. I don't understand the low ratings on this one. Excellent WWE event from top to bottom, one of the best of 2017 so far."

[4.0] "Didn't watch it live cause I felt it was gonna be bad! The Women's MITB actually had a good ending because it brings heat to the heel pairing of Carmella and James Ellsworth, so points for that. Don't know why the Tag Title match ended in a count-out but i guess the feud will continue into SummerSlam. The Womens Title match was filler, nothing good about it. WWE Title match seemed ok, just continued to bring heat to Jinder and the Singhs which i guess is what WWE want to do, especially if the rumours of Mahal V Cena are true. Filler tag match, but always good to see Breezango. Then the Mens MITB had the right victor. Baron Corbin is going to be a beast with the briefcase, and it will be interesting to see where WWE go with this storyline. It also set up feuds for the future with the staredown between AJ and Shinsuke. Overall, WWE do need to improve alot if they want to get all the casual fans (and now some hardcore fans) back, but there were definitely some things they did right!"

[2.0] "True to form, I have not watched any Smackdown since the Backlash event, and from the booking & results of this show, I am pleased I will not have to spend/waste any more time on this brand until SummerSlam. It's not just that, once again, heels won or had the last word on the majority (4 of 6) of the matches it's either how they're winning and/or who is getting pushed. For example, I enjoy Carmella's heel act but any interest in watching her follow-up w/ the briefcase has been eradicated due to the arbitrary & groan-inducing way she won the match. For me, the expiration date of The New Day as faces has long since passed so not only do I not care to see them win the Smackdown tag titles, but the ending made me feel that the previous 12 minutes of action meant nothing b/c a heel can at anytime just say 'F--- it, ' and leave. Poor Lana... WWE can't just leave a good act alone and w/ the failure of Eva Marie, they had to once again break-up her act with Rusev and force her to try her hand at something she is clearly not a natural at. The title match was slightly more exciting than the match in Chicago, but in the end I felt I had watched the exact same match. Literally, didn't Jinder win in exactly the same way? Breezango's bout was 100% TV and not PPV material. And then the Main Event: 4 of the 6 worthy men busted their ass, 1 was fortunately removed early from the equation so he did not have to suffer the indignity of hurting himself only to put-over the medicore sixth ("Borin Corbin! ") guy who noone, even the trolls, wanted to win. The idea of booking a show is to provide a mixture of happy-sad feelings. D Bryan only won his 'Money In The Bank' briefcase in Chicago in '11 (I was there) b/c the bookers felt bad booking two heels to win both briefcase bouts. Despite the efforts of the men/women on the card, there was not a single match in which when it was over I felt rewarded that my time was well-spent. 4 for effort, 0 for booking ='s a..."

[5.0] "Wow, feel very underwhelmed after watching that event. I was actually quite excited about it and thought it had potential throughout the card but it fell flat on all accounts. The women's MITB match never seemed to get out of first gear and it was entirely predicable about Elsworth getting involved. Someone on some podcast mentioned that would happen the other day and it has been in mind ever since. Tag team bout was good throughout the match but I am really not a fan of Count out's/DQ's at PPV's. Feels too much like an episode of Smackdown. Lana was thrown in to the deep end tonight and was caught spot calling throughout but that's not her fault, she could have done with more TV time and actual matches before being thrown straight in to a PPV. Jinder and Randy was good. I enjoyed this match and the crowd provided plenty of heat for Jinder and with Randy being the home town boy, it had the feeling of a big fight feel which I liked and it added to the match. Really did not feel the need for Ascension vs Fashion Police on the main card. A quick dull match as much as I like both teams. (No idea where the Ascension go from here though, they are well and truly stuck in a treacle maze). The main event was good. Some nice spots, mostly involving Sami. I kind of expected Rusev to take Nakamura's place but it did not spoil anything that he did not. A lot of people predicted Corbin as the winner of this match and that prediction proved right. I guess MITB suits having an underdog as its winner as AJ and Owens at least are in the main event picture anyway. Nothing was excellent on the card I don't think but it was great to finally see Maria and Mike Bennett. I have enjoyed their stuff in both ROH and TNA so I am hoping they get a good push on Smackdown. Oh yeah, has Tye Dillinger joined American Alpha in Smackdown wilderness?"

[4.0] "Though another victim of WWE's recent good action/bad writing PPV streak, and the MITB concept is beyond tired at this point, MITB '17 was not without its merits. The men's MITB ladder match was very good, as was the Tag Title match before its questionable finish (though one can only assume that it only means New Day will get another shot). I actually really enjoyed the WWE Title match, and I'm not even a fan of Orton - I thought the match was structured well, the use of the legends at ringside was well-done and Jinder has been doing a good job of owning his newfound role in the company. On the negative side, while the women's MITB was good in and of itself, it suffered from its controversial finish (IMO, if this were any other women's MITB, it could be allowed to slide as being in-character for Carmella and Ellsworth, but given how much they've put into promoting the first as a historic moment, having the end come as a result of one of the women's boyfriends climbing the ladder for her is asinine and sends a terrible message). The rest was largely filler. Not the year's worst WWE show, but its defining moment - the women's MITB - will keep people talking about it for all the wrong reasons."

[3.0] "The Women's MITB match was good but the ending was absolutely abysmal. The first ever Women's MITB and a man climbs the ladder and grabs the briefcase, fucking disgraceful. The New Day vs Usos was a great match but just like the previous match, it ends shitty with the Usos walking out on the match. Naomi vs Lana was nothing special and Carmella was just there for no reason at all. It was exciting to see Mike and Maria debut, but the promo they cut seemed weird. Jinder Mahal vs Randy Orton was a fun match but like the other matches, the ending was half assed, literally the exact same ending from Backlash. Breezango vs Ascension, yes The Ascension still exist, moving on. The Men's MITB match was awesome but having Shinsuke being taking for nearly the whole match just to have him come back in near the end was pointless and made Nakamura look weak and compared to what everyone else took, Nakamura got it easy but yet he's out almost the entire match? IMO this is the worst Smackdown PPV of the new era."

[6.0] "The wrestling and intensity of this event was solid, but for me what killed the PPV was the booking of the matches, the women's money in the bank match was very predictable, New Day vs The Usos was a good tag match but the ending sort of killed the shows momentum along with the Women's championship match. Mahal vs Orton is just about what you'd expect and the match was decent. I was really hoping Breezango's competitors would've been credible that match was quick and useless. Breezango is entertaining and needs to be used better, they shouldn't be in matches with the ascension. The men's money in the Bank ladder match was without a doubt the best match of the night. I think the wrong guy won, but I hope Corbin proves me wrong. Not a bad PPV but definitely could've been better like most of WWE's shows. WWE has the great and talented wrestlers, but the entire roster is victim to poor booking. If WWE ever gets its booking together they will put on tons of great events."

Both MitB were pretty good, especially the men one, which was fantastic (****1/4) The only two bad matches on the show were Naomi/Lana and Ascension/Breezango and they were barely 11 minutes between the two, so it doesn't bother me too much. Not as good as something like Dominion or whatever, but I really enjoyed it for what it's worth."

[5.0] "Ugh...... what should have been a solid show by the time it was done was just average at best.... Slow start with matches that just didn't deliver. However when Orton and Mahal went at it i thought it was an outstanding effort and how hot the crowd was made it all the better. Was also glad to see Mahal wasn't just a transitional champion and will at least get 2 months of a run at the top, hopefully longer! Then we came to the BIG MYSTERY..... reveal of the ascension being the attacker and opponent for breezango..... Anyway moving on, the main event MITB match was outstanding as expected. But i have to say as good as it was it left a sour taste in my mouth. I normally and all for the push of an up and coming star. Baron Corbin is just not their and doesn't do it for me. It might be the booking or it might even be him but it was lackluster... The crowd was very quiet standing around with their arms crossed wondering what they just saw. I honestly expected Nakamura or Styles even possibly Kevin Owens but instead they went with the only guy who cant even get a response from the fans. I guess this one will have to be a wait and see what they make of this but right now its not their. It really hurt my overall perception of the show to as originally i was going to say 7/10 but i will go down to a 5/10 based on the way it ended...."

[4.0] "The main event is good, the rest of the show isn't like that. The opening MITB, the first with women, disappoints a lot, not only it has a terrible ending, but it also does not show anything worthy. New Day vs Usos is probably the best match of the event, good work from the two teams. Naomi vs Lana is terrible, Orton vs Mahal is acceptable but sometimes boring. Breezango vs Ascension is a filler. The main event is solid, maybe too predictable but it works fine and show the skills of all six wrestlers. Just watch the main event and the first tag team match, the rest is really bad."

I feel like it would be better to save such thing for the second women's MITB while the first should have solidified women in that type of match but that's just me. It was a great showing by participants though [6/10]. Lana was confident on the mic, that's a great ability for a wrestler that many lack today. The New Day vs. The Usos was a perfect mess [7/10]. I liked The Women's Championship Match and I thought it served its purpose, Lana looked good and Naomi got very positive crowd reaction in the end but both of them have a very large room to grow [5/10]. Fashion Police are love, Breezango are life. I don't know what that debut was but I don't think it worked, but who knows, will see. There's nothing like an old-school match at St. Louis. [8/10] Breezango vs. Ascension was put as a cooldown after WWE Championship match so the crowd was not so into them but it was fun for what it was [5/10]. Styles-Nakamura part alone was worth watching, great match [8/10]. Overall it was a decent show which I enjoyed."

Naomi Vs Lana was just an average SD TV match. Nothing special at all *1/2. Mahal Vs Orton was awesome once again. Mahal is just so awesome ever since winning the title and it really shows here. The only problem was the ending was pretty much exactly the same. ***3/4. Breezango Vs Ascension was pointless. DUD. MITB match was MOTN. Everybody got a nice showing. Zayn and Styles were the main standouts for me here. Shinsuke cleaning house towards the end was awesome. The Women's MITB was pretty good, but that ending was just ridiculous (**1/2); New Day vs. The Usos was turning into a good borderline great match, but the ending sucks again (***); Naomi vs. Lana was horrible, Jesus. Lana is beautiful, but damn, she's sucks (DUD); Mahal vs. Orton was pretty good. Jinder destroyed Orton's leg, but Orton's selling was pretty inconsistent and the ending once again was dull (***1/4); Breezango vs. Ascension was just there. Seriously, this was your Co-ME, WWE? Horrible (DUD); And MITB ladder match was great, but I was expecting more. It had some good spots, but the rest of the match just had some decent action. (****). Overall, pretty poor PPV. I'm curious to see where they're going with Corbin, but I think is too soon to push him in the Main Event scene. Just poor booking with poor wrestling in the majority of the show."

And the ending ? Really? ; New Day vs. Usos (***) It was ok but Big E had some visible botches in the end of the match and also the ending sucks.. it's the same booking for New Day ; Naomi vs. Lana (* 3/4) Very bad match.. Lana is so low in ring.. ok better than Eva Marie but she should have been still a manager ; Jinder Mahal vs. Randy Orton (*** 1/4) It was better than the one from BackLash , but the ending was the same. Mahal prooved that he can carry good matches. Breezango vs. Ascension (**) Filler.. but I didn't understand why this match was on card , they could've given more time to Main Event or Women's MITB match. Main Event (**** 1/2) Match of the night ! But again , we really have to gather all the main eventers to have a good match? Sami Zayn was the MVP , I didn't understand Corbin's attack to Nakamura , but meh , this match somehow saved this PPV."

You could also argue that Jinder Mahal vs Orton was ok as well, even though it was just average (like most Orton or Mahal matches). Womens MITB was alright, finish was stupid, They did their best. Two things I didn't like during the match was how they were selling even less than the men do in this ladder match and it took Tamina and Natalya took ages to climb the ladder. Tag Team title match was slow-paced and boring until the end where it started to pick up and then they just decide to have a stupid finish. Naomi vs Lana was fine, the ending was stupid and pointless, Carmella comes to cash in and just doesn't. Then we had Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis show up. I was happy to see them but, their gimmick seems to be shit. I didn't watch a lot of Orton vs Mahal because I lost hope for this show. Breezango vs Ascension was a pointless filler match with a roll-up finish. The only good thing that came out of that was the "Fashion Vice" segment, that was good. Mens MITB stole the show (if you even could with this shit). AJ Styles fall was awesome and Nakamura facing off with Styles! Baron Corbin winning was cool."

Ruining an historic point of time. **1/2 Usos/New Day. Started off slow but had gained a lot of steam. Nice near falls, thought a few times it would be ending, and they didn't. A few spots not well executed. But a big let-down with the ending. **3/4 Naomi/Lana. Standard wrestling. Almost an upset. How Carmella won the briefcase caused extra heat for the ending. This hasn't been a good night for the women. **1/2 Orton/Mahal. Great match. Especially on Jinders side of things. Really looking vicious and attacking the body part consistently. Also utilizing "legendary" submissions. Adds to the story-telling. After all the iffy-endings, it kind of ruins the ending a little bit. If the other matches ended cleanly, this would have been perfect. Match of the Night. **** Breezango/Ascension. Lead-in was the most interesting aspect of this match. Wrestling was boring. Worst match of the night. *3/4 Men's MITB. Nakamura being attacked at the start, after all that has happened throughout the event, wore the audience down a bit. Thanks to some decent spots and selling by the performers, it brought the audience back and the match flowed nicely. Ending with Nakamura/Styles was great until Baron Corbin stole it. Tag Team Titles - Usos and New Day are the only credible teams in the division, another ridiculous finish. Women's title - Naomi vs Lana matchup in itself is stupid, these two now Carmella ahead of the likes of Becky and Charlotte shows how poor the division is. Usos v New Day is pretty good but not that good to warrant a rewatch or something to cheer about. Lana v Naomi? women's match is only served as a filler in this company so who cares. Breezango are actually top performers hindered by bad bookings and writers horrible decisions. Jinder v Orton before Maint Event? something tells me WWE knows they fucked up with this one. The Main Event itself is pretty good thanks to the indys veterans setting up cools sport here and there but obviously the homegrown talent will win this one because they've been grooming him since last year and setting him up with experienced perfomers like AJ and Sami almost every week. In other words, it's just another WWE PPV that soon will be forgotten."
