[7.0] "A major improvement from the Hydro show the year before. In 2016 the company had managed to pull in over 6, 000 fans, making it the largest independent wrestling show in Europe since the 1980s. Unfortunately, for the new fans that would have been watching the show and for the major news it caused, ICW Fear and Loathing IX was one of the company's weakest shows. Thus, when they returned to the same venue only a year later the attendance had dropped by 2, 000. This show was much much better in quality and had some really great matches such as the main event or the King of Insanity deathmatch but unfortunately to a smaller audience and I fear it was too little too late."

[8.0] "ICW capped off 2017 with a strong event. Multi-man ladder match was chaotic but was very enjoyable. Lots of intertwined stories coming into play, especially the one between Bram and Ravie Davie. Tag title match was solid and both teams performed well. Mysterio and Williams was a sprint and while the action was good, it was over before I knew it. King of Insanity was ridiculously fun and insane (pun intended). Plenty of brutal action including Whiplash taking a destroyer off the ladder, Stevie Boy pouring out blood and the overall punishment these 4 men took. Brilliant match. Cage match was done well with the action starting outside the ring and only starting once all women entered the cage. Great moment for Kasey. The three way dance was alright and a decent throwback to 90s elimination style matches. Nothing spectacular. Lionheart stealing the pin on Gibson reminds me of Red Lightning doing the same at Fear and Loathing 5. Kinky Party vs. Kings of Catch was a solid contest. Good pre-match video by the Kinky Party. Main event was great and felt like an epic match. BT Gunn and Joe Coffey were and remain two of ICW's best and this match was a worthy main event of ICW's flagship show. The duplicate BT Gunns were a cool edition. Enjoyed this event."

[5.0] "Unlike most ICW shows this one actually didn't have a single bad match. The low point was the opener and even with the bullshit result and billion interferences that led to it, I wouldn't call it bad. So what was wrong with the show? The fact that there was barely anything good on it. If I had to pick my MOTN it would be between the tag title match and the four way. The first one because there wasn't any bullshit involved and second one because it was a fun mess. Everything else? Either boring and lifeless or ruined by booking. Main event was the latter. The stipulation of the match was that DQs and countouts were in effect. So if that was the stipulation, why the fuck did the finish involve Coffey getting kicked in the face by two guys who weren't in the match, right in front of the ref? Hello? Did nobody figure out how stupid that is? It's shit like this that makes ICW such an annoying product to watch. This could have been a rare good show from them, but of course they had to ruin it."
