- Im heutigen Main Event verteidigt Becky Lynch ihren Women's Title gegen Alexa Bliss.

- AJ Styles eröffnet SmackDown. Im Ring angekommen sagt er, dass Ambrose betrogen hat um zu gewinnen. Außerdem ist James Ellsworth eine Schande für Sports Entertainment. Niemand wollte mit Ellsworth nach Schottland fliegen. Dennoch möchte er das SmackDown LIVE-Team gegen Team RAW siegreich sehen, deswegen ernennt er sich zum Captain. Danach kommt Baron Corbin zum Ring. Er sagt, dass er abliefern wird aber nicht für Styles Team. Bevor er weiter ausholen kann flackert das Licht und danach stehen Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper und Randy Orton im Ring. Styles heißt sie Willkommen ehe auch Dean Ambrose in die Halle kommt. Er geht die Rampe hinunter, dreht wieder um und holt James Ellsworth in die Halle. Styles blafft Ellsworth an, dass dieser besser nicht bei der Survivor Series auftaucht. Ambrose erwidert, dass Styles erst durch ihn muss, wenn er ein Problem mit Ellsworth hat. Es entstehen Spannungen im Team, die von Shane McMahon bereinigt werden. Er erinnert sie daran, dass sie als Team funktionieren müssen, sonst werden sie verlieren. Ellsworth schlägt vor, dass er das Maskottchen für SmackDown LIVE sein könnte. Shane stimmt dem zu und setzt dann ein Six Man Tag Team Match für den späteren Abend an zwischen Orton und den Wyatts gegen Ambrose, Baron Corbin und James Ellsworth.

- Becky Lynch bereitet sich backstage auf ihr Match vor.

- Shane McMahon trifft backstage auf Baron Corbin. Corbin sagt, dass er kein Interesse an dem Six Man Tag Team Match hat. Wenn Shane damit ein Problem hat, dann soll Shane ihn aus dem Team werfen. Aber McMahon braucht ihn mehr als Corbin McMahon braucht. McMahon nimmt Corbin aus seinem Match und stellt ihn in ein Singles Match gegen den Rückkehrer Kalisto. Corbin zeigt sich auch darüber nicht erfreut.

Survivor Series Qualifying Tag Team Match
Breezango (Fandango & Tyler Breeze) besiegen The Vaudevillains (Aiden English & Simon Gotch) mit dem Falcon Arrow von Fandango gegen English. (1:18)

- Für die 900. Ausgabe von SmackDown in der nächsten Woche wird The Undertaker angekündigt. Außerdem wird es eine Ausgabe des Cutting Edge geben.

Singles Match
Naomi besiegt Natalya mit einem Small Package. Nikki Bella saß bei den Kommentatoren und Carmella kam in die Halle, woraufhin Bella und Carmella aneinander gerieten. Natalya wird um ein Haar ausgezählt, doch sie schafft es so gerade wieder in den Ring. Naomi rollt Natalya dann zum Sieg ein. (2:02)

- Auch Alexa Bliss wärmt sich für ihr Match auf.

- Ellsworth und Ambrose sind backstage zu sehen. Ellsworth sagt, dass sie Corbin nicht in ihrem Team brauchen. Daniel Bryan kommt hinzu und präsentiert Kane als Ellsworth und Ambrose Partner für den Abend. Ellsworth fragt Kane was ihre Strategie ist und Kane antwortet, dass Ellsworth sich nicht einwechseln sollte.

- Baron Corbin kommt für sein Match in die Halle, gefolgt von Kalisto. Beim Einzug des Mexikaners attackiert Corbin ihn bereits. Er rollt Kalisto zurück in den Ring und wirft ihn unter den Seilen wieder aus selbigem. Als Corbin dann das Seilgeviert verlässt rutscht Corbin vom Apron und anscheinend hat er sich am Knie verletzt. Kalisto nutzt das für einen Gegenangriff.

- Shane McMahon steht backstage vor einem Whiteboard, auf dem die Namen von Team RAW und Team SmackDown Live für die Survivor Series stehen. Daniel Bryan kommt hinzu und sagt, dass Baron Corbin für das Match ausfallen wird. McMahon gibt ihm eine Liste mit Namen und Bryan soll bis zum Ende der Ausgabe Ersatz finden.

WWE SmackDown Women's Title Match
Becky Lynch (c) besiegt Alexa Bliss durch Aufgabe im Dis-Arm-Her. Bliss Füße waren beim Abklopfen auf den Seilen, der Referee bemerkte dies jedoch nicht.(14:54)

- Daniel Bryan und Shane McMahon stehen backstage und reden über das Finish des Damenmatches. The Miz und Maryse kommen herein und beschweren sich, dass Ziggler den Intercontinental Title gegen einen RAW-Wrestler verteidigen muss. Bryan antwortet, dass er sich sicher ist, dass Ziggler Sami Zayn schlagen wird. Im Gegenzug wird Brian Kendrick von RAW seinen Cruiserweight Title gegen Kalisto von SmackDown LIVE verteidigen. Maryse kann Bryan ein Titelmatch für den IC Title abschwatzen.

Singles Match
Curt Hawkins besiegt Jack Swagger mit einer Oklahoma Roll. (1:40)

- AJ Styles nimmt bei den Kommentatoren Platz.

Six Man Tag Team Match
The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper & Randy Orton) besiegen Dean Ambrose, Kane & James Ellsworth mit der Sister Abigail gegen Ellsworth. Ellsworth wechselte sich zum Ende selber ein und wollte den Superkick zeigen, doch Wyatt konterte in seinen Finisher. (13:07)

- Die Wyatts und Orton umzingeln Ambrose, der sich um Ellsworth kümmert. Bevor etwas passieren kann rennt Shane McMahon zum Ring und Daniel Bryan gibt bekannt, dass Shane McMahon den freien Platz im SmackDown LIVE-Team einnehmen wird.

[4.0] "It's ironic that Smackdown has recently been built around the notion of... if people could fall in love with Grado then why not Ellsworth? And if Ellsworth can be included in a Smackdown main event then certainly 'Superman' Shane O'mac can fight alongside Team Smackdown. Everyone's going to sell for him and it will get a momentary pop but the prospects of watching him pin full-time players is depressing. I imagine when Vince saw Apollo he got a flashback Lashley woodie but since then the team has had to 'Face the Facts' about Apollo's shortcomings as he's not the natural fighter Bobby is. The Women's title presentation was well-built and was given proper context and time; Alexa's a scrappy kitty and the match was well-designed in that it gave AB a body part to focus around. The only issue is that she's so tiny and not superior in any martial arts nor grappling so that it gets a bit undynamic at parts. But the women have decent in-ring chemistry and Becky sold-well, a 2 3/4 - 3 star for me. I'm not into this notion of a four-man booth but neither do I think WWE is. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Mauro and Tom switched roles w/ Mauro also handlin' it in the 205."

[7.0] "A bit weaker than average, but still a strong build towards Survivor Series and next week's 900th episode of Smackdown. Some decisions (like giving Hawkins a win at all, let alone over Crews, or Corbin getting a kayfabe injury) were a bit baffling, but in the end this felt pretty complete and deliberate, which is a lot more than Raw. Ellsworth is just barely getting old, but he's over and you can tell that at any moment his story is going to be done (although last week would've been a good time to stop). Becky vs Bliss was a very nice match (***1/2) that showed that they have enough chemistry and enough in them to have an even better match in the future. Shane on the SS team is weird, but something about Shane makes me fine with it, even though it's more involved than anything Steph's done (probably because Steph has creative control right now and Shane doesn't). The worst thing about it is that the 5v5 would've been a good time to "make" Corbin. Also, good build to both IC Title matches and announcement for Kallisto vs Kendrick. Solid, entertaining wrestling TV."

[4.0] "One of the worst episodes since the Brand Split. Apart from Becky vs Alexa which was a pretty decent match, I wasn't really feeling this episode for a number of reasons. First off, all of this James Ellsworth needs to end. It was fun for a while but having him play a role at Survivor Series, all too much. The Women match with Natalya vs Naomi and the stuff with Nikki & Carmella was dreadful, it was like a bunch of schoolgirls squabbling. The main story of the night, pulling Corbin out of Survivor Series due to an "injury" work and replacing him with Shane is ridiculous, that goes against what Smackdown is meant to be about. Hopefully this doesn't end up being the case and another swerve happens."

[6.0] "Was an okay episode of Smackdown, nothing great nor terrible. Very strangely, the women's title match was announced at the beginning of the show and regularly during the first half of the show as the main event. The match; however, was at the beginning of the 2nd hour and there was two matches after this one."
