[6.0] "Not a bad show with some enjoyable highlights spread throughout, but also a couple of disappointing bouts. The worst thing was definitely Nash vs Steiner - not only making a Singles Match for the Tag Titles is stupid, but also the angle they did didn't make much sense, as suddenly DiBiase and Patrick had a change of heart without much of a build. But most importantly Public Enemy can piss off - I hate this worthless team, they can't wrestle and they stink up every match they're in. Everything else though was at least decent, even Madusa vs Hokuto or Regal vs Iaukea had some highlights. Ultimo had his best WCW match here against Rey, as this time there weren't countless kickouts and actually both guys told a great story. Malenko vs Benoit was great in terms of work and only made me wish for a little better finish, the Four Way was a pleasant surprise with Luger being back to his best and having one of a kind connection with the crowd, while the main event was all about DDP, who was a phenomenal babyface with Savage making him look like million bucks. A nice PPV, a couple of highlights and thankfully the bad stuff wasn't that long."

The main event was awesome and you had a couple of ok to good matches with Mysterio/Ultimo Dragon and Benoit/Malenko. The teased tension in the nWo was set up great, even if they never went through with it. Pretty average PPV."

[4.0] "The usual WCW PPV: good work from the cruiserweights and underwhelming work everywhere else, though the main-event was actually okay. Mysterio vs Ultimo was pretty good. Ultimo was impressively aggressive and Mysterio sold really well, with both ending up putting together some pretty exciting exchanges. Mysterio's comeback was perhaps a bit too quick, but everything they did was strong. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Hokuto vs Madusa was pretty poor. Hokuto had decent aggression but didn't do much with it, while Madusa's offence was pretty weak. They also had sloppy chemistry and then a lame distraction/interference finish. *3/4. Iaukea vs Regal was another, slightly better time-waster. Regal was pretty mixed, with good technical work and physicality but overly cheesy heel character work. Iaukea, meanwhile, had fine but forgettable offence and 0 character. **1/4. Jarrett & Mongo vs Public Enemy was pretty sloppy and completely devoid of any creativity, intensity, or urgency. Not completely awful but still pretty bad. *3/4. Malenko vs Benoit was quite good. It was definitely slow at points, but both guys were intense and physical enough to still impress quite a lot at points, and their chemistry was always very strong. The heavily overbooked interference to cause a DQ finish was super disappointing, but everything Malenko and Benoit themselves did was good. ***1/4. Nash vs Rick was pretty stupid, given it was a singles match for the *tag titles*, plus the story of the dissension in the nWo was awkwardly executed, but I still thought that Rick's jock-style powerhouse offence was fun, and Nash's big-man attacks weren't too bad, so this wasn't too bad. **1/4. Booker vs Luger vs The Giant vs Stevie was fine. I intermittently enjoyed the babyface work of both The Giant and Luger, while Booker and Stevie were competent as the pure heels. The match ended up dragging quite a bit in the middle, but it thankfully retained its interest and moderate excitement towards the end, especially with The Giant admirably allowing Luger to get the win and thus earn the WCW World Heavyweight Title shot. **1/2. Savage vs DDP was surprisingly alright. It was a big brawl for the 1st half, but both guys made it somewhat engaging with their intensity, and I liked how physical they were in their later exchanges plus how well-timed their counters were. Savage's heelish posturing was decent, and DDP's babyface-selling was likewise convincing. I also enjoyed the payoff with how it looked like everything was being set up for yet another cheap nWo victory, only for the stars to align in the form of ref Patrick's wavering loyalty to the group (which was a bit forced, but w/e), allowing DDP to get the clean win. Nothing great on a technical' level, but a nice story executed in solid fashion. **3/4. The post-match drama with the nWo's infighting was likewise pretty cool, setting up some interesting threads for where everyone's loyalties would lie in future."

[7.0] "Top grade B ppv for WCW. Rey Mysterio vs Ultimo Dragon was match of the night with their technical moves mixed with high flying moves. The women's match was good but too short, plus no one has seen the belt for months so why should we care? The TV title match proves that Iaukae can keep up to Regal, he's just not as good. Public Enemy vs Horseman was fine, definitely second weakest on the card because Jarret is the best wrestler out of all four. Dean Malenko vs Benoit was a weaker encounter of I'm being honest, I hate the DQ finish. Skip Nash vs Steiner. We get that infamous Booker T promo on Hulk Hogan and I'm immediately laughing. Macho man putting over Dallas was the right decision."

[5.0] "There was a little too much junk on this PPV to rate it any higher than middle of the road. The Cruiserweight opener, Malenko/Benoit and DDP/Savage carried the event. Macho Man was having a bit of a career resurgence at this time with the DDP feud."

[6.0] "Another fairly average WCW event, the lack of Hall, Hogan and Piper probably helping overall. Only the opening match really stood out as great, but there were few failures, and one of those failures was a hilarious, infamous promo by Booker T. They integrated the NWO storylines into the action better than they often did, making this more enjoyable than some PPVs from WCW around this time."

[5.0] "2nd PPV in a row where the World Heavyweight Title wasn't on the line, so instead there's yet another whacky gimmick match to decide a #1 contender. A pretty strange show here I thought; many of the matches were slow paced, including the Cruiserweight match. The women's match was little different to their previous encounter, and the Commentary team talked about the previous segment (Scott Steiner's arrest) for almost the entire match, which shows already how bored by this division they are. The 1 on 1 match for the Tag titles became the usual nWo overbooked hell. Best match I thought was the main, with some obvious cracks forming in the nWo following the result. Final thought: absolutely amazing looking set!"

[6.0] "The opening match is nice and with fast action, another enjoyable Rey Mysterio vs Ultimo Dragon in the series. Dean Malenko vs Chris Benoit is another impressive match with technical skills. The Four Corners and the main event are both okay, but the rest of the event is really weak with many boring matches. Also the set is terrible."

[9.0] "First of all, I love the set and the music of this show, it may be a little cheesy but it's a lot of fun. Opening match is a great one, it's lower rated than their previous bouts but I don't really see why, the only drawback is pointless cut to backstage in the middle of the match. Ohterwise it's really great stuff, they turn it up huge in the second half and put together something great. Hokuto/Madusa is a pretty great, hard hitting spring, and Regal/Iaukea is an enjoyable bout, though Regal deserves a better class of opponent. PE/Horsemen isn't that good, admittedly, but Benoit/Malenko is really good, even if it is something of a mess at the end. Steiner/Nash is the only real dud of the show, poor action and a plodding pace as they tease dissension in the nWo. I wish they'd put Nash against Scott Steiner instead, or maybe subbed in Syxx to have a proper tag match. Ah well. It picks back up with a pretty good fourway that sees the crowd losing their minds for Lex Luger, and then a fantastic main event which showed DDP was ready to go on the top level and Savage was still at the peak of his game. Overall a really good show, a few matches to skip but not many."
