[10.0] "An absolutely incredible show to cap off a great tournament. The Scramble was a super fun opener - the comedy stuff before the actual match started was neat as well (***3/4), Travis/ZSJ was fantastic - very different from their recent WCPW meetings - super intense slugfest, loved every second of it (****1/4), Riddle/Bate was just as incredible as their Chapter 48 match - they have such a great chemistry w/ each other (****1/2), Harvey/KLR was the only weak match of the night, super dull stuff (*), Haskins/Seven was really good - had my doubts going into it but I enjoyed it a ton (***1/2), Dunne/Cobb was AWESOME, would've easily hit the 4 star mark for me had it gone a few more minutes more (***3/4), Travis & Bate went for an epic in the main event, and oh boy, they sure delivered one - great match (****). Overall the final day of SSS16 '17 was easily an all-time great wrestling show. One of the top ones of 2017, if not THE top one."

[8.0] "The Wasteman Challenge and the Scramble match were a lot of fun and an enjoyable use of the eliminated talent (**3/4). ZSJ vs Banks was a good back and forth match; I'm usually down on Zack but man he almost matched Travis here; really good sequences in this one, even if it took a bit to get going (***1/2). Riddle vs Bate had some weird moments of dead air but was overall a really good match with some great striking and exchanges; Tyler looked super legit and yet Riddle looked like a million bucks losing clean (***3/4). Harvey vs KLR was a basic, bland match, but it wasn't exactly BAD (**1/4). Seven vs Haskins was good at the start, but it didn't feel like a Submission match besides Mark working Trent's arm a couple times; Havoc's interference was more storytelling getting in the way of Haskins having a good match, but this was solid for what it was (~***). Jeff Cobb is SO FUCKING GOOD that he can make Pete Dunne working him over work with his selling while still looking like a monster; a very good contest for the world title, but obviously didn't feel like a main event as it wasn't meant to be (***1/2 to ***3/4). Bate vs Banks was a crazy experience; the crowd was going wild, and not for both guys like a lot of indie main events, but JUST for Travis and booing the fuck out of Bate (stark face/heel dynamics are why I love PROGRESS) as they just went AT IT; the interference happened barely halfway into the match and even then the neutralization of it by CCK got a MASSIVE pop; the second half was absolutely on fire, even if the kickouts got to be a bit much (I get that they wanted to show Banks's resiliency, but he kicked out of some INSANE stuff like 3 times or so); an overbooked main event, but one that had a lot of hard work put into it and a LOT of heat (****). The middle show of the SSS16 '17 weekend, but a strong show overall; the tournament matches and title match were the highlights."
