[7.0] "Welcome to Progress NastyYaffa. 'Progress' is sometimes a misnomer, but you picked a quality show to come aboard. What an electric crowd/great venue! Keen through-line of tonight's gig, that of J Havoc attacking his (too? ) many foes w/ a baby's thirst for vengenance, but it fit his denouncement as those who are too-focused on their immediate concerns are oblivious to the long-term: the Main was no-DQ, and thus one of these foes will get back at Havoc. Ospreay hasn't won a match in this fed since '15, so it's a testament to his skillset & success elsewhere that he can be taken seriously and not as a losing laughingstock. Though selling in the Main Event was non-existant, there was a lot of entertaining 'smoke and mirrors' w/ tables, barbed wire, and my favorite - J Havoc slicing the skin, as if a paper cut, between Dunne's fingers and then pouring lime juice over the fresh wound. W/ Havoc's loss I hope he moves on to settle his blood feuds, and Dunne is given a fresh challenge. The evening opened w/ the SPPT finally getting their shots at the tag shields. Banks has an admirable serious-minded intent, but as a stand-alone he may lack the charisma to be a star. As a longtime veteran, older than most of the current British talent, one would think T Seven would put more effort in scultping his body as he's no C Hero. Is he hurt? I dug Ligero's comedic presentation against the bluster of Z Gibson. Ole! So tonight Sexsmith wanted to be taken seriously. Improve as an in-ring storyteller, dude, and not just execute tons of moves. Ospreay/Andrews was my match of the night - incredible - and I don't know how Os gives this much night after night. Easy prediction: RingKampf will win Progress's tag belts in '17. Cruz/Webster went on-and-on... Did Cruz previously send Webster packing as there were too many incredulous kickouts. NN's arms look like Rousey, not Bailey = gimmick does not match appearance. Jinny has presence and like many I have a crush. 7. 25"

[8.0] "BSS vs SPPT was half Trent & Tyler working over TK and half the 4 of them just going full-force with some wild tag team sequences; Travis Banks was tremendous here, TK was a surprisingly good Face-in-Peril, Bate made sure to quell any potential cheers for him, and Seven was... alright (I thought besides his chops and piledrivers he didn't really stand out), although there was a slight lack of selling; this still was a great tag team opener (****). Gibson's promos and Ligero's ring intros remain terrific, but their match was little more than fun banter and some decent moves (**3/4). Drake does zero for me at all, and Sexsmith is almost 100% gimmick and exceedingly basic in the ring, so besides using Drake's injuring of Moser from last Chapter to put over his forearm this was just nothing (**). Mandrews I find is... overrated, but not bad; he and Ospreay had a good match here where Will played a good heel and Mark hit a wild crucifix bomb, plus they made the top rope going loose part of the match which I liked (***1/4). Ringkampf decimating the Hunters was satisfying, and the build to the hot tag was quite good; the Hunters on offense was less exciting, but this still came together well (***1/2). Cruz vs Webster actually surprised me; Flash played a good underdog and sold his arm well while Nathan was a quality heel (***1/2). Jinny is so good, and here she got to work with a bombastic face in Nixon Newell; Jinny's stone-cold and stylish offense clashed with Nixon's high energy and resiliency, and I loved how Jinny just kept working the head and ended up using her opponent's finish to end it (VERY happy to see a Destroyer actually end a match) (***3/4). Dunne vs Havoc knew it needed to be a disgusting deathmatch-styled brawl; the use of barbed wire, staples, papercuts, alcohol, and Pete's biting was visceral and gleefully used; a bit of overkill towards the finish with some kickouts, but Ospreay's interference worked (****). Another great Chapter."

[7.0] "First FULL PROGRESS show I've decided to watch & it was a good one! Moustache Mountain vs. SPPT was a really good, borderline great opener - both teams were very impressive (***3/4), Ligero/Gibson was a fun comedy match, truly loved Ligero's antics (***), Sexsmith/Drake was OK, forgettable, but OK (**), Mandrews/Ospreay was good, Ospreay worked it as a total heel which was refreshing (***1/4), I also really enjoyed watching Ringkampf destroy The Hunter Bros, while the Hunters got some good hope spots in (***1/4), Webster/Cruz was easily the worst match on the show, went on for too long & nothing interested happened in it (*), Jinny/Newell was a fun, action packed sprint (***), Dunne/Havoc was goddamn awesome - had some legitimately DISGUSTING moments, which are always appreciated in matches like this (***3/4). Overall the show was good - the opener & the main event are definitely well worth watching."

[9.0] "Very fun show from top to bottom, highlights including the stunning tag title match, Ligero's "drunken" antics, the latest in the great Mandrews/Ospreay series, Ringkampf obliterating the Hunters, a fun sprint with Jinny and Nixon Newell, and a gruesome, intense weapons brawl in the main event. Pete Dunne was at home in doing Jimmy Havoc's style of match! Great setup for Chapter 46 as well."

[8.0] "Was at this show live and it was yet another great show from Progress in Manchester. The first match of the show was also match of the night for me really good hard hitting match between Moustache Mountain and the SPPT really showing how Travis and TK can hang with one of the best teams in the UK you should go out of your way to see this match. Other highlights were the ring breaking Andrews vs Ospreay match, the Ringkampf and Hunter Brothers match and the Main Event Havoc and Dunne putting each other through hell. Definitely search out the first match and if you have the time (which is at a premium this time of year) you could do a lot worse than catching this show when it comes to DemandProgress next weekend."
