A short but high impact Eita Vs, Maria encounter , A fun high speed send off for Tozawa and a reenergized Verserk vs . a pissed off Monsters Express that started as a wild brawl and evolved into what you come to expect from a Gate main . It got better and better and better . Matches worth watching : all of them and my top match was Monster Express (Big R Shimizu, Masato Yoshino, Peter Kaasa & Syachihoko BOY) vs. VerserK (Naruki Doi, Shingo Takagi, T-Hawk & YASSHI) . |
| 2 | 07.12.2016 | jboyaquar | 7.0 | This was the second of three Tokyo-area D Gate events I would attend in a three week period and I departed Korakuen feeling high how well the Korakuen event on the 10th was set-up by this evening's events. Verzerk opened the show w/ some Mad heat due to T-Hawk's new membership. Lindaman's big head and bullying aggressions made me desire his comeuppance that I hope I would feel on 10/12. Poor Punch took a rough head-shaving but it wasn't as bad as the one Raven suffered at the hands of J Mitchell and company in TNA. BB Hulk suffered a rare pinfall loss in the (getting monotonous) Tozawa 8-man. Truly Hulk has not looked the same since returning and though shoulder injuries are notoriously difficult to return from (ask A Cole, ) I'm wondering if we haven't seen his best days. The Main Event employed the dependable can Syachihoko BOY somehow overcome the size/strength/skill disadvantage to gain the unexpected victory but it was wise to forgo that and give the rub to T-Hawk who just turned and thus should get the heat. Though understanding very few of the words out of his mouth, the joy I get from watching N Doi incite the crowd is by itself worthy of the entrance fee. 7. 25 |
