There was hardly much to invest in, especially in terms of action. Next match had the making of a classic, and while they? ve had better matches, this was fun and enjoyable chairs match. Whiplash went in hard with the chair shots towards to the end. Renfrew vs Viper was fun. Never gonna get used to the stipulation but it was fun nonetheless. Jester and Iceman had a bit of a downer match. A lot of it took place in the crowd with poor camera angles, if any at all. 6 man tag did very little to keep me interested. Next tournament match was solid and had some moments. Jester vs Renfrew was fun as both men were pretty much within their elements. The women had a solid encounter in what was actually a sleeper match of the show. Jinny was vicious. Main event was incredible, the first truly great match of the show. Jester tossing Whiplash off the top rope into a table on the outside was sickening, and I loved it. Given the participants, I knew I was gonna watch something great. An OK tournament with some average to OK matches, but a great main event. |
