[1.0] "Probably the worst pay-per-view of all time. The main event is a slap in the face of every Starrcade main event that came before this. "How do we continue a legacy that was started with RIC FLAIR vs HARLEY RACE? I know let's find the two biggest no sellers that have ever step foot into a ring. The one star is for some of the matches that were watchable, even though they were still just TV grade matches."

[3.0] "This is basically the burial of the NWA style. We're back to the 80's WWF, but it also includes all of the stars from that period that couldn't work at that point. Duggan, Mr. T, Earthquake, Beefcake, Savage - all of Hogan's friends are here and it's just sad, since you know that the proper wrestling ain't coming back. Out of all these guys Duggan certainly tried the most, but even Vader wasn't able to get a decent match out of him. Mr. T had nothing of a match with Sullivan, making Avalanche work a 15 minute match wasn't the brightest idea and Hogan vs Butcher was just horrible with both guys insulting the viewer's intelligence. The only bright spots here are Triple H vs Wright, which was a decent, nicely paced bout between two young guys and Anderson vs Mero was very solid, easily the best contest of the show. They teased Vader vs Hogan at the end, but I'm not looking forward to this, since I remember Hulk against Earthquake and his burial from not a long time ago."

I've watched this show a handful of times over the years since it took place, and while I thought it was awesome in 1994, today it's a slog to get through. There weren't any great matches on the card, though Alex Wright and Triple H probably had the best. It was a great moment seeing the Mega-Powers reunited after so many years until Hogan would turn on Savage in 1996."

Jim Duggan of all wrestlers had one of the best matches on the card."

[5.0] "It's not a bad show. There is an awful match (Mr. T vs Sullivan), two average matches (Sting vs Avalanche and the main event) and the rest lf the show was good. But, this is not a Starrcade-worthy show."

[2.0] "This is just awful. You'll see better wrestling and storylines on an ECW card from this year, and most of those were terrible. The only good match was the unplanned last minute match, and the only other want that wasn't bad was between two rookies that bored the crowd senseless. This shows exactly why you can't let wrestler's egos take precedence over the bookers. Avoid."

[3.0] "The first three matches were actually fine, I thought; Vader vs. Duggan actually exceeded expectations as a good brawl for its era; Wright vs. Levesque was good wrestling with a simple, straight-ahead face vs. heel dynamic (and of course in hindsight it's kinda funny to see Alex Wright go over the future HHH clean), and Badd vs. Anderson was a decent if slightly short bout. The rest of the card dragged the show down, though - Sting vs. Avalanche was overly long, Mr. T vs. Sullivan was unnecessary, Nasties vs. Harlem Heat was OK but not the best match they would fight (and featured a screwy finish), and ultimately there's only so far you can go with a main event storyline for Starrcade built around Brutus Beefcake."

[1.0] "This event is lucky to get a 1, because most of it is truly, truly horrible. It is only saved from a zero because not every match was bad. It seems some people like Duggan/Vader, but honestly I hated it, Duggan gets 80% of the offense despite not being 1/100th as good, and he even gets a clear visual pin over supposed #1 contender Vader, Vader can barely scrape out a victory and seems to be pulling his punches at every turn, perhaps afraid of Hogan's political pull if he actually worked stiff with his great friend. Wright/Levesque was actually good, a little dull at times but smart technical wrestling. Arn/Badd was in fact a great match, Arn always delivers. However, that was about the end of it. Heat/Nastys was decent at best as a match, but the post match armpit angle was absolutely disgusting. Sullivan/T was truly horrible, with terrible, terrible booking. Avalanche/Sting is not quite as horrible but still very bad, boring and with more terrible booking. The main event is perhaps the worst match I have ever seen in my life. Hogan's WCW is a horrible thing to watch, he infects almost the whole show with his buddies and the product tanks terribly as a result."

[2.0] "It's so terrible that I can't believe they came up with all those terrible ideas. There are DQs and weird endings, but the problem is that the only good match is the first one between Vader and Jim Duggan. After that everything was bad, with a disappointing main event. It was the lowest point in a while for WCW, with boring three hours. I won't recommended it, there is nothing to see there."

[2.0] "Vader vs Duggan was really good but that's the only highlight of the PPV. Alex Wrights match really wasn't any good but on a historical basis you can see the potential from Hunter. Badd vs Anderson was good for what it was, Anderson should have gone over though. Harlem Heat vs Nasty Boys was pretty disappointing for the most part, some sloppiness and more suspect booking harmed it. Mr T match was short, awful but short and possibly added some marquee value. Sting vs Avalanche was good for the most part, Avalanche got gassed halfway through and the booking again, what's with the booking. It's supposed to be the biggest show of the year and they add all these fuck finishes. Main event was also pretty shoddily booked and it sums up the whole year for WCW at the time. It could have been worse and I can see the criticisms for Hogan. For WCW the cracks in the wall weren't showing just yet and business was getting better for the most part so this is a fair score."
