[8.0] "A very good show with matches that can cater to almost all people to enjoy different wrestling styles. Its not the greatest show ever, but 100% a bright spot in the incredible history of dragon gate"
[7.0] "The opening 6 man tag match and the 8 man tag match were good fast paced matches. Both ***1/4. Lindaman vs Kanda was very quick but energetic. **3/4. The following tag match was all over the place, from charming to annoying to below average. **1/2. Maria vs Eita was my MOTN. Maria's girly gimmick was odd (lots of crude humour spots) but he still managed to deliver a lot of impactful moves and had good technique. Eita was the standout star of the show to me, showing great agility, control, and character. The intensity was compelling. ***3/4. The OTwG match with Jimmyz vs VerserK started with some annoying interferences and heel antics, but developed a rapid pacing and became a fun spotfest. ***1/4. The OTrG match was similar, but with a more consistent pacing that led to a lot of ridiculous but extremely fun spots. Kaasa and Flamita really impressed me. ***1/2. Shingo vs Yamato was very good, but had some issues. I thought there were lots of impressive moves, but I couldn't connect with any psychology in the match. Shingo's power and bravado was awesome, but Yamato felt really lifeless by comparison. This ended up simply feeling like a lot of moves being exchanged without any solid pacing to make them have a lasting impact. I just didn't feel the intensity that they were trying to create. Barely any near falls or big moves hooked me, and I didn't sense any interesting character work. Very good moves-wise, still. Good show overall. ***3/4"

[7.0] "This was my first-ever Kobe World Hall show; the floor is a exceptionally large ovalish-rectangle with two tiers of elevated, peripheral seating. DG claimed 9, 800 in a building that advertises an 8000 capacity but I do know it was mostly packed. Overall I found the event to be a fine representation of the acts DG is currently pushing but the show was formula all-the-way with few, if any, surprises. The first three matches are of all preliminary status with the big men and current management fave, Lindaman, going over. The fourth tag was a spotlight for the ageless Fujiwara who still must smash his head against steel buckles to prove something, what that is Idk... very Japanese in the amount of kowtowing for the 67 yr old. I was kinda annoyed by Yosuke's seeming greater concern over her companion Linda than in the most important singles belt she'll ever have; at eleven minutes the Brave Gate match wasn't meant to steal the show, but I thought both looked good with the match well-laid out... Y hitting her crucifix finish, the 'Neraiuchi, ' kicking out and the finish coming very soon afterwards. This year, despite the predictable/only possible ending, I thought the tag title match was more exciting than the triangle gate. Mr Twin Gate, ND, worked his ass off; thankfully the less capable YASSHI stayed out-of-the-way. I don't think Kaasa dropped any falls during his Nihon sojourn. Oh, and the DG President gives the most rote/vanilla speeches... but DG =198 shows last year! 7. 25"
[10.0] "This show was honestly so much fun. Opener tag was good (***), second tag was good (**3/4), Lindaman/Kanda was a good showcase of moves (**), Fujiwara/Mochizuki vs. Fujii/Funaki was a battle of men, great stiff contest it was (***3/4), Eita/Maria was great, I loved it (****), Doi/Yashi vs. Jimmyz was okay, not the biggest fan of it (***), 9 man triangle title match was a great spotfest (***3/4), and the main event between Shingo & YAMATO was a classic (****3/4)"
[10.0] "As the first full dragon gate show I have watched, Dragon Gate feels absolutely phenomenal, and makes me want to follow it here on out. Waorth every penny and during the intermission most japanese wrestling shows have show an amazing match from 2014 for viewers at home."
[9.0] "This was an awesome show as you'd expect. Undercard was a lot of fun, Lindaman matches was designed to put him over, Fujiwara/Mochi tag team match was very entertaining. But the real shit started with Eita/Maria for the Brave Gate title. All I have to say is that Maria is the most improved wrestler of 2016. Great match and finally Eita is the Brave Gate champion! (*** 3/4). Jimmys match was good, but not great (*** 1/4). The Triangle match was Dragon Gate at its best. Giant clusterfuck with non-stop action for 25 minutes with some great comedy at the beginning and insane spots at the end. Incredible match (**** 1/2). By the way, Peter Kaasa is a fucking freak of nature. The main event between Shingo and YAMATO was probably one of the best matches you'll see this year. Incredible effort from both guys, as they delivered the best Dream Gate title match since Mochi/Shingo in November. **** 3/4. Overall, this was an amazing show that exceeded expectations. Dragon Gate is probably the best wrestling promotion in the world right now. Not a show of the year contender, but you HAVE to see last two matches."
[7.0] "This was the first Dragon Gate show I've watched all the way through and I came away moderately impressed. My impression of a lot of DG matches I've seen before is that there's far too little selling and psychology for me to be interested. A few of the matches on this card went along those lines: the undercard tag matches were underwhelming (maybe because I don't know the storylines and characters that well? ) and I didn't enjoy the Twin Gate title match because I found it to be a tedious, overlong spotfest. Thankfully, several other matches on this show shook me out of that perception. Yosuke Santa Maria vs. Eita was a very good back and forth match that balanced comedy and suspensewell. I was impressed by both performers. The Triangle Gate match was big, loud, and stupid, but it was obscenely entertaining and loaded with colorful characters with easily defined traits that played into the story of the match. The main event was excellent stuff. Shingo is a great heel and YAMATO is an incredible babyface. Together, they put on a huge match that would've gone over well anywhere in the world. I was also impressed with the level of athleticism on display in almost every match. It takes a lot to pull some of this stuff off. Overall, yeah, I enjoyed it. I'll check Dragon Gate out again."
