[7.0] "The final show before Ultima Lucha sets everything up nicely for the three week finale. Puma and Dragon Azteca had a banger of a match while Dario Vueto set hi plans in motion. It's gonna be a good season finale."

[7.0] "This is the final show before Ultima Lucha, so they built the last storylines leading to the most important event each season. In that sense, we learn at the beginning of the program that The Worldwide Underground (PJ Black, Jack Evans and Johnny Mundo) will defend the trios titles against (Drago, Aero Star and Fenix). Then we move to the ring to watch King Cuerno defeat Mil Muertes. This should have had more time, but it is what it is and it's all leading into a Death Match between the two at Ultima Lucha. This match was fine, I like Muertes aggressiveness and Cuerno's methodical approach. Cuerno wins with a rollup and using the ropes as leverage. After the match, Cueto tells Taya and Ivelisse they'll have a match at Ultima Lucha and Catrina asks for the Death Match I've mentioned, which Cueto grants her. Then as an anticipation of the dream match between Puma and Mysterio, Puma faces Dragon Azteca Jr., the storyline disciple of Rey Mysterio. It was an intense and exciting high flying match. It's the best Dragon Azteca has looked in the temple so far. Later we see Dario Cueto on the ring, with Texano, The Mack, Cage and son of Havoc and tells them that they are going to enter a special tournament "4 an unique oportunity". And on the main event, we see Mundo defeating Fenix thanks to a cheap shot with the title belt and then a big brawl started between all the members of the Trios Titles match. Big show leading the exciting end of the season."

[7.0] "The anticipation for Ultima Lucha is finally at the climax. Opener was fun, and set up for an interesting rematch, ***1/2. Puma vs Dragon was really good, and got over Dragon quite well, ****. Main event was nice, but could've been way better, ***3/4."

[6.0] "Cuerno vs Muertes was quick but solid. I liked Cuerno’s speed and agility up against Muertes power and aggression. *** The Dario vignette was quite good. Dario remains a very entertaining character. The prospect of a death match between Cuerno and Muertes is pretty intriguing. Azteca vs Puma was a decent decent high-flying spotfest. Very good chemistry (though I suspect there was some editing involved with the El Rey release of the match) and lots of cool spots. ***1/4 Dario’s promo announcing the entrants for the Unique Opportunity Tournament was alright, and I’m very interested in the reward for the match. The 4 men getting to fight each other right away was a pretty cool way to tease the match too. Fenix vs Mundo was alright, though with more time and a proper finish this could have been much better. There was good character work from both wrestlers; Mundo being arrogant and slimy, Fenix being courageous and resilient. Fenix looked great, with fantastic impact in his moves and a very graceful technique. The interference ending was a very disappointing finish to a relatively good match. *** The big brawl between the trios contenders afterwards was pretty cool. This ended up being an alright, near good episode of Lucha Underground. I think some good things have been set up for Ultima Lucha Dos, but it’s definitely been a while since Lucha Undeground has produced anything I consider great, so I’m not super confident."

[9.0] "Excellent show with no bad matches . Great lead in to the big show . Action packed from start to finish . Even Muertes didn't look too bad . Azteca looked great . Melissa Santos looked particularly good . Really can't ask for much more out of a 45 minute show . Matches worth watching : all of them and my top match was Dragon Azteca Jr. (w/Rey Mysterio Jr. ) vs. Prince Puma ."

[9.0] "Liked this episode a lot. Cuerno/Muertes showed a lot of potential for the rematch. Azteca/Puma was excellent. Main event was fantastic in my book, two of LU's best! And great vignettes and build to Ultima Lucha Dos to boot."

[7.0] "The hype is great for Ultima Lucha and this is a preparatory show with some announcements and three good matches. Prince Puma vs Dragon Azteca Jr. is great and with a good storytelling, the rest isn't bad at all."

[8.0] "Really great event, really excited for Ultima Lucha. Everything flowered well. All 3 matches were good and the brawl to finish the show was great to see heated rivalries that don't seem forced."

[10.0] "Easily one of the best LU episodes ever. This show was a great episode all together, but was also a great final build to Ultima Lucha Dos. Every match gets hyped up as much as any other and it's so nice to see. The show itself had 3 great matches in Muertes vs Cuerno ***1/2, Puma vs Azteca ****1/2, and Mundo vs Fenix ***3/4. This show did it's job well because I'm hyped as hell for UL2"
