[3.0] "On paper this had three matches that should've been great: War Games, Flair vs Rude, and Steamboat vs Regal. Steamboat and Regal was really good, but the other two were complete letdowns. The rest of the card looked bad on paper and it panned out. If you watch the first match and then bail, you'll be better off."

[3.0] "This was a pretty bad PPV. While things started strong with a really entertaining opener between Steamboat and Regal, there is essentially nothing else here that is worth your time. The Nasty Boys vs. Four Horsemen tag is horrendously boring, and the Rude vs. Flair match-up is quite the bore as well. Worse yet, these two matches are so long that bell-to-bell they make up around 1/3rd of the PPVs runtime. The War Games match is very basic and underwhelming, while essentially everything else is a TV match at best (Charlie Norris vs. Big Sky wasn't even good enough for that). The Orndorff/Equalizer vs. Scorpio/Bagwell tag overachieved and ended up being pretty decent at least, which was all it really took to be the second best match on the card. It didn't help that the crowd was pretty quiet for nearly the entire show (not that you can blame them). Check out Steamboat vs. Regal if the methodical pace isn't going to be enough to put you off, but you can probably turn the show off after that without missing out on much."

[5.0] "1993 has not been too kind to WCW on PPV. This show was pretty mediocre really. Unfortunately the best match on this show was the opener, and it was really good but not great. Also unfortunately since it was the gimmick of the show, my least favourite match was the Wargames main event. I don't know how matches 2 or 4 made PPV, but especially match 2. I'm glad that along with the Cactus Jack match we also got a recap of his story in recent months. Two hypothetically big title matches that had big implications took place on this show that were very long and very mid. A pretty unsatisfying show but not the worst watch."

[4.0] "It says a lot that the most interesting thing on here was Foley's feud with Vader and they didn't even have a match, let alone interacted with each other. The best match on here was easily Steamboat vs Regal, as it was a great technical bout with both guys showing off their fluid work, plus Scorpio and Bagwell had another really entertaining performance against Orndorff and Equalizer. But everything else... Nothing here was particularly horrible, but it started dragging in the middle. The Nasties vs The Horsemen was a disappointment as Knobbs and Sags were in no shape to perform on their 100% for almost 25 minutes, Rude once again gave a middle finger to the crowd and delivered another one of his boring-ass matches with most of the time spending in holds, while the WarGames wasn't awful work-wise and had some decent moments there, but the finish was horrible with The Shockmaster ending it by putting the Bearhug on Booker T, which was very anticlimactic. So all in all some promising stuff at the beginning, but it got worse as the show went on."

[4.0] "Show got off to a very good start with Regal and Steamboat and then trailed off from there. The Horsemen-Nasty Boys tag match took forever and was just boring. Rude/Flair was probably a little better than most of the ratings given on this site, but it may be grading on a curve considering the two talents. There were a couple of squash like matches that shouldn't have been on a big event, but it was clear they were trying to capitalize on Tatanka's popularity with their wish.com version in Charlie Norris, and they clearly thought Ice Train would be a big-time player for them in the future. Neither of those really paid off like they wanted. The War Games match itself probably should've been the co-main with Flair vs. Rude as the main event. I'm not sure if it was the worst War Games, because it started off decent with Dustin and Vader, then once the big lumbering guys not named Vader got in, things deteriorated. In this era, there were better WCW Saturday Night episodes than this card."

[3.0] "Not an enjoyable PPV to watch. The opener is really good, but everything after that was mediocre at best. Some matches dragged like Flair vs. Rude or Horsemen vs. Nasty Boys, most of the undercard matches were incredibly heatless, and the main event is one of the worst WarGames matches in history. Avoid this one."

[4.0] "This was a really poor show, only the opener was any better than decent. The crowd were dead and I was really noticeable how many empty seats there were. I can't blame people staying away when they saw who was in the main event. This had a bunch of matches that at most should have been an opener on a tv show,"

[2.0] "Just an all around bad event. This was the PPV debuts of Charlie Norris, Big Sky, The Equalizer, Ice Train, Yoshi Kwan, The Shockmaster, Kane, and Kole, and all of them with the exception of Kole, who would later be known as Booker T, range between bad and simply decent in the ring. No matches stood out, and the best one, Rude vs. Flair, was not good enough to warrant the time it was given. The fact that every title match resulted in a title change should make this a historic event, but the very poor match quality throughout, including arguably the worst War Games match WCW ever put on, makes this PPV an overall stinker."

[4.0] "Flair vs. Rude and Regal vs. Steamboat were both worthwhile. While the rest of the action was inoffensive, there's also not much to really recommend here. Anderson/Roma vs. Nasties seemed to drag somewhat, Scorpio/Bagwell vs. Orndorff/Equalizer didn't really come together, and the rest of the undercard matches were too short to amount to much. The War Games was not one of the better examples of the match."

[3.0] "Three change of titles but a highly disappointing pay per view. Not even one match of the card delivered, maybe only Lord Regal vs Steamboat had some nice action. Ric Flair vs Rick Rude is terrible and many matches have bad wrestlers involved. The main event isn't huge as it should be, The Shockmaster was hard to watch because he wasn't dangerous. A show to avoid."

[5.0] "Ok but not that great for a major PPV. Steamboat/Regal is the MOTN and a really great opener, very underrated match that should probably go on the Matchguide. Sky/Norris is utterly pointless and a bad match to boot. Scorpio & Bagwell vs. Orndorff & Equalizer is decent but only because Scorpio and Orndorff make a supreme effort, Equalizer is perhaps the worst wrestler I have ever seen. Pierce/Train is short and not very good. Arn & Roma/Nastys is pretty good, although it drags a little at times with too much Nastys on top. Arn does a lot to make it better though. I can hardly say how good Cactus/Yoshi was because I was too shocked to see Yoshi was actually a dude in yellow face, holy racism Batman. Flair/Rude is a huge disappointment, extremely boring at times, not all bad but definitely not worth +30 minutes. War Games is passable as a match but a huge letdown from previous incarnations of the match type. Vader is great and Dustin gets some nice shine but Sid, Stevie Ray, and Shockmaster are all terrible, and the finish is downright garbage. Definitely check out Steamboat/Regal and the tag match, everything else is skippable at best."
