[4.0] "This was a very underwhelming PPV. While nothing is truly horrendous, the majority of the matches are disappointing considering who is involved, and the two 30(-ish) minute matches back-to-back was an extremely dull stretch that more-or-less took me out of the entire show. Thankfully the main event is a lot of fun and was able to bring me back (as well as the crowd, who seemed quite bored before then), but it's never a good sign when the second best match of the night involves Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce."

[7.0] "I'm actually a little surprised by how solid this PPV was. There wasn't anything awful, all matches were at least alright and even Mero got something decent out of Payne, plus although Flair vs Windham disappointed me it still wasn't a bad bout. The first few matches didn't set the seats on fire, but all guys did their job fine - Orndorff had a great heel performance against Simmons, Scorpio and Bagwell continued impressing me as a tag team and Regal actually got something half-decent out of Erik Watts. Then The Hollywood Blondes vs The Horsemen was a very good Tag Team Match with Austin and Pillman showing much more personality and even Roma impressing with his athleticism. I also really liked Dustin vs Rude - I think that they paced it really well and contrary to other people's opinions I didn't feel like it was a typical, lazy Rick Rude performance. And then the main event was the biggest highlight of the night for me as it was an old-school all-star Tag Team Match with four the most over guys in the company. The crowd was going crazy for everything they did and some of the moves there from Davey Boy or Vader were absolutely incredible. So overall another very solid Beach Blast show, even though I wasn't expecting anything from this card."

[5.0] "If you were to search up the word "mid" you would get the result of the Beach Blast 1993 logo. Holy crap was this show mediocre. None of this was bad but it was mostly just a very bland and boring show. The only two matches I really liked overall on this show were the main event and the tag with Scorpio and Bagwell. Erik Watts getting not only a PPV match here but being so protected in the finish was almost a bit egregious. Rick Rude and Dustin Rhodes had a very disappointing match. I also overall did not enjoy the commentary from Jesse Ventura and Tony Schiavone on this show; although they did have their moments. This show just wasn't clicking but it wasn't awful."

[5.0] "The main event was good and Flair won his first title since returning from the WWF. Outside of that, I was disappointed with some of the matches (particularly the Rhodes/Rude iron man match which was incredibly boring) and even the Blonds vs. Horsemen dragged in the last 5 minutes or so. Very average PPV."

[9.0] "A much better event than expected, to be honest. Orndorff/Simmons is a pretty good match with a poor finish. Orndorff is much better than I realized, even at this point in his career. The following match is actually a great little tag, the pre-Goodwinns are strong brawlers and Scorpio is amazing in this era. Regal/Watts is ok but not much more, Watts is pretty bad. Badd/Payne is decent, Badd is charismatic but Payne doesn't have much to offer. The tag title match is actually fantastic, certainly the best thing Roma was ever attached to. Arn and the Blondes are wonderful. Dustin/Rude is a terribly boring match, the only actually bad one on the card. Windham/Flair is excellent but not MOTY quality as it could have been, due to Windham having a very bad knee injury and the run time being clipped, plus a messed up finish. The main event is far better than I ever would have guessed, Sid is not a good worker but he is not as bad as usual here and Vader is absolutely sublime. The finish they put together is spectacular. All in all this show blew away my expectations, it's not perfect but it's a lot of fun in my book."

[5.0] "It's not a good event for WCW in 1993, clearly a period of intermission between the old era and the new era, with many complications about the titles (it was still with the NWA belts). Dustin Rhodes vs Rick Rude is a Iron Man match nobody needed, boring and never-ending. Ric Flair vs Windham was lower than expectations, but the main event and the tag team match for the belts delivered some fun."
