[8.0] "Good show . Main was very good but nothing else was exceptional . Just solid entertaining matches . I think the TV title match would have been better as a one on one with any of the competitors but that is the case with most 3 ways . The tag match was really good except a horrible finish . The only thing more annoying than The Bucks over use of the super kick is Corino yelling super kick every time they use it . Matches worth watching : all of them and my top match was Adam Cole (c) vs. Kyle O'Reilly ."

[9.0] "A very good card of matches, but as a show hindered by some poor production values and a rubbish crowd who didn't have a consensus on anything"

[8.0] "A fantastic night of wrestling. All the in ring work was amazing highlights for me were the Briscoes v Bucks and the main event. One of the best ROH shows I've seen (I've not seen that much) good production values, they improved significantly from the last show I seen. But yeah, a great show all in (****)"

[9.0] "One of the best top-to-bottom shows ROH has put on in awhile, and it's great to see them back at the Hammerstein after two years of Final Battle being at Terminal 5 (the worst venue for wrestling I've ever been to). Hopefully I'll be able to make it live next year. At any rate, matches were all good-to-great; Tag Title match especially delivered; O'Reilly's journey to the title reached a well-executed conclusion (though I'm not totally sold on him as a long-term champ yet), TV Title was a fun spotfest; Cody's heel turn was well-done, and BROKEN Matt Hardy's surprise appearance was a great moment (and one of the biggest surprise pops I've heard since Malenko took off the Ciclope mask). 2016 has been occasionally a bit spotty for ROH, but it's good to see them end the year on a high note."

[6.0] "This event is a great example of a building and a crowd making the show feel greater than it actually is. Although I've only attended one show from The Hammerstein, (WMania weekend '13, ) the construct of the venue, multi-tiered so high but not too long, makes for a condensed sound that elevates the material on display. ROH has recently claimed they('re like NJPW in) offer(ing) many different varieties of pizza yet tonight there wasn't a slice of an elegant margherita, a single well-wrestled technical match w/ old-fashioned ideas of psychology... something to evoke the ROH that longtime viewers who grew-up on ROH w/ D Bry's, etc. can sink their teeth into. Instead there were tons of 10-15 minute matches many of which (Young/Liger-Cody/Lethal-both six man's) could have shaved a few minutes off and achieved the same effect while adding more time building the main event's match that needed at least twenty-five minutes considering the focus ROH placed on it t/out its television. It doesn't matter how one dresses ANX-Coleman up I don't enjoy watching them. In his matches, Silas should focus less on moves and offer more character-based schtick as his persona is more over than his workrate. Colt breezed through his potentially interesting heel turn w/out any earthy vigor; he's so lacking in what CM Punk possesses in spades, a raw anger that touches a provocative bone. Thanks again to an invested crowd making this gig seem better than it actually was. 6. 25-6. 5"

[10.0] "Great show much better than anything that the WWE put out all year. O'Reilly vs Cole was very good, Bucks vs Briscoes was great and Scurrls vs Ospreay vs Dragon Lee was the match of the night. The Wrestling Observers Dave Meltzer said that this was a great show and I completely agree. Its sad to see the WWE marks giving it a bad rating because they know they have a much inferior product that has just been dishing out complete garbage for the last two years. Great indy shows like this are the reason I no longer watch Raw, Smackdown, or TNA. ROH, NJPW, CMLL, AAW, PWG and a few others are leading the way with fantastic shows like this while WWE spews filth going into 2017."

[7.0] "Let me start by saying, easily the best show ROH has put this year imo. Thoroughly enjoyable show, all round. Opener was decent. Liger vs Silas was the worst match on the card, just there. Trios matches was pretty good. Cody vs Lethal was quite good and I was glad with how it ended. Easily the best part of the match for me. TV title match stole the show. *** 3/4. Ospreay/Scurll/Lee were excellent. Tag Titles then came on and Young Bucks and Briscoes took the show. Amazing last few minutes. *** 1/2. I lost it, watching BROKEN Matt Hardy. I can't say, I knew he'd come, fortunately. World Title match bw Cole and Kyle was good but not special as it was meant to be. I don't know. Crowd was odd during the match and it just didn't click for me."

[7.0] "The Rebellion vs Dijak and MCMG (***). Silas Young vs Liger (**). Castle vs Cabana (**1/4). Cody vs Lethal (***). Kingdom vs White, KUSHIDA and Rush (**3/4). Scurll vs Ospreay vs Lee* (****). Bucks vs Briscoes (***3/4). Cole vs O'Reilly (***1/2). Good show. *I like TV Title match, but damn someone needs to teach them that there is selling in the world of wrestling. 11 minutes of endless spots and no sell. It makes it impossible to believe that all spots have any impact."

[9.0] "In a year where ROH has gotten a lot of flack (some deserved, some undeserved), Final Battle did what it needed to do: prove that ROH can put on a great show that doesn't use too many NJPW stars, but takes advantage of their partnerships. I hated The Cabinet and The Rebellion is still the same three meh guys but with a more generic gimmick; that said, MCMG are savvy veterans and Dijak is incredible, so they managed to get a good, fun opener out of them (***). I sort of expected more from Liger vs Silas, but it was still a standard match that got these two on the card; I'll always love watching Liger (**1/2). Castle is one of my favorites in the world (with a fantastic entrance), and Cabana's heel turn was nice, but these two did not click much (aka Cabana just isn't that great in singles matches); Dalton's time on offense was great, I love when he shows the strength and power behind his gimmick (**3/4). Cody/Lethal was a very good match, but nothing outstanding; Cody's heel turn was unexpected and felt pretty fresh, really liked how much of a dick he was post-match (***1/2). Jay/Rush/KUSH vs Kingdom was a very fun 6-Man tag; all three faces were great, and the new Kingdom did fine, with O'Ryan standing out to me; lots of cool spots with the teams going for the win (***1/2). TV Title 3-Way was awesome stuff, and while it's sad Fish wasn't there, I think this match benefited from his absence. Scurll & Ospreay have had phenomenal chemistry all year, and this was no different; their rivalry was the glue that kept this match together amidst all the flips. The pacing was on point also, cramming everything into a relatively short time without feeling like overkill (****1/4). Bucks/Briscoes was a quality tag match, but the nearfalls went a bit overkill (***3/4); Broken Matt's appearance was cool. While Cole's been stale this year, he did a good job putting over O'Reilly, while Kyle put on a phenomenal performance in his title win (****). Great show without a bad match."

[0.0] "In their last big show of the year, ROH continues w/ the same song & dance, as they deliver yet another soulless & boring show - this was even worse than usual though, an easy candidate for the worst major wrestling show of the year. The opener just sucked (*), Liger/Silas was boring, a nothing match (*), Cabana's new heel theme & heel shtick was fun, but the match vs. Castle fell flat (*1/4), Cody/Lethal was probably my favorite match of the night - but it was still very forgettable, easily the worst indy match Cody has had up to this point (*1/2), the trios title match was a lot of boring, The new Kingdom sure did not look good (*), Scurll/Ospreay/Lee has been getting a lot of praise, but I thought it was awful - just choreographed flips & sequences w/ nothing good about it (*), Bucks/Briscoes was VERY disappointing, if there was one match on the show that I thought would deliver, that would've been it, but nope, they delivered a bad, forgettable match - still a contender for MOTN alongside Cody/Lethal though (*1/2), the main event was just what I expected; absolutely awful. Adam Cole's control segments are some of the most boring in wrestling today, and Kyle wasn't a very good babyface in the match either (*)."

[10.0] "I'm giving a 10 because this was enjoyable start to end with great matches. Opening six man was a fun, hot opener ***1/2. Liger vs Young was fine **1/2. Cabana vs Castle was fun ***. Cody vs Lethal was really good but ended rather abruptly. Definitely could've gone 5 more minutes. The heel turn was awesome and unexpected tho ***1/2. 6 man title match was way more fun than I expected ***1/2. TV title was an awesome nonstop action spotfest ****. Tag title match was awesome. A lot of standard stuff from both teams and rehashed spots from BOLA but it was still amazing ****. BROKEN MATT. No more needs to be said. Cole vs O'Reilly was a brutal war and a great way to give Kyle the rub. Despite the obvious blade job, both guys looked like stars and put on great performances. Wish the crowd was a little more hot for it ****1/2. Thought this was an awesome show"

[2.0] "I honestly don't see what all the hype is about this show as it was alright and Bucks/Briscoes stole the show (***1/2) but that was about it for me as the rest was either decent or it just wasn't appealing. TV Title match was a total spotfest as was expected given the 3 guys involved (*). Cody/Lethal felt so uninspiring and only went off the crowd besides the ending which did provide shock value though Cody will be great as a heel. Both 6 man matches were enjoyable but nothing more than that (**1/4). Cole/Kyle was meh compared to their previous matches and the ending fell so flat it's just ridiculous especially given they were in NYC for their biggest show of the year (*1/2). Decent on the first watch but nothing I'd rewatch for sure."

[9.0] "The best ROH show in years. The opener was good, maybe they went a little bit too long but I still enjoyed it (***), Young/Liger was the worst match on the show, just solid (**), Cabana/Dalton was really good as well (***), and Lethal/Rhodes was very good, and the ending was something that I didn't see coming (*** 1/4). The Trios match was very good, but I hated that ending (*** 1/4). The 3 way was so awesome, just an insane spotfest with 11 minutes of nonstop action (**** 1/4). Bucks/Briscoes was amazing as well, last few minutes were just incredible (**** 1/4) and God, what a pop for Broken Matt.. The main event was excellent, altough I hated how the crowd reacted. I mean, they decided to cheer for Adam F'N Cole instead of Kyle O'Reilly, who was so awesome in this match. Is it really ROH? Fuck this crowd. But the match was awesome and Kyle is finally the champ (**** 1/4). Last 3 matches were all amazing, and the whole show was very enjoyable. Great, great PPV."
