Wieder mal eine sehr stimmungsvolle Show mit Party-Catch Opener, einem ordentlichen Frauenmatch und dann einem Three Way, der völlig überdreht und dumm und lustig und geil war (***1/2). Dunne vs. Aichner war echt überraschend von der Ansetzung her. Aichner hat zu viel Energie, so dass seine Dives und Highspots aussehen, als würden sie weit übers Ziel hinaus schießen. Timing hat der Mann aber auf jeden Fall und Dunne war hier halt simpel Dunne (**3/4). Semi-Main Event komisch gewählt, allerdings ergab die Story mit Sebastian und dem Pastor endlich mal ein wenig Sinn (**). Main Event inklusive dem Angle, welches ich hier zusammen mit einem Freund hart gefeiert habe von "cool, die beiden als Team dann also gegen BSS, wird geil", zu "verdammt, nach der vergebenen Chance zur Rückkehr von Havoc sind sie hier jetzt mal konsequent, ist das geil Alter". Richtig geil und mich voll dabei erwischt, viel zu eingeschränkt zu denken. Ist echt geil, diese Liga weiterhin nachzuholen mit der Vorfreude auf das, was da noch kommt. |

Funny kissing/sexual segment and overall fun mixed tag match with a great ending sequence. ***1/2 Toni Storm vs Kay Lee Ray. Toni Storm pulls off some impressive feats of strength, while Kay Lee Ray holds her own with submissions. Not bad, although nothing special. *** 'Bodyguy' Roy Johnson vs Mad Man Manson segment was bad. British Strong Style vs London Riots vs The Leaders (Matry Scurll and Zack Sabre Jr. ) Fun match, with The Leaders and London Riots taking the bulk of the early work. Flying party followed by a submission party. Several interrupted finishers at the end helps everyone look strong. ****1/4 Pete Dunne vs Fabian Aichner. Aichner in particular brought exciting reversals, brutal looking strikes, and flight. This match had a bit of everything with submissions and technical wrestling, high flying spots, near falls, a somewhat surprising finisher, and good promos from Dunne before and after the match. ****1/2 Sebastian and Pastor William Eaver vs Jack Sexsmith and Chuck Mambo Pastor William Eaver doesn't want to be tagging with Sebastian, and the story of the match revolves around their interactions. Creative brown nosing is the highlight of an otherwise below average match. ** Jimmy Havoc vs Will Ospreay. This match is fast paced from start to finish while still having a previous injured limb being targeted. Interesting promo at the end. Great match between two of the promotion's best. ****1/2 |
| 5 | 26.03.2017 | jboyaquar | 7.0 | In the spirit of PWG's "Mystery Vortex" this was a holiday, apparently debauched, clearly raucous show w/ an unfortunate appearance of 'The Dirty Sanchez. ' Indeed, I don't find appealing these foulest of body mechanics, and it's certainly not 'Progress, ' but perhaps that's a regular gimmick of J Sexsmith matches. If it is, count me a non-fan of his second-rate D Dino routine. Regardless, it's now out-there and surely coming soon to a DDT show. Is it mandatory for European feds to have party-boy tag teams like FSU, Midnight Ravers, Hot and Spicy, etc. ? I bet Mojo Rawley is jealous of the reaction E Dennis gets. W/ the dissemination of Paige's parties I wonder if all involved in such gimmicks as 'the S Pacific Power Trip' engage in menages? Well, to be married that young and participating in the pro wrestling world I'll assume there are certain arrangements. T Storm evokes a slighter B Phoenix, but she has the potential to be a better worker. She's only 21, and I was impressed that she wasn't completely overwhelmed by her majesty, Io Shirai, in their multiple matches. I like TS's leg-hook German, and this was tighter than the majority of women's bouts. Speaking of names, whether it's Diesel, the dude from Osaka, or this joke in Progress, anyone nicknamed 'The Bodyguard' sucks. The tag title was alright - Scurll was too much the panderer tonight to wear trunks appelled 'the Villain, ' but I'm a fan of J Davis as I think he conveys someone who lays it all on the line, ie. his tope suicida. For a man his size, Fabian can move awfully well on-the-ropes, though he needs to polish himself or he'll find himself not-over and off shows, kinda like Gran Mettalik. I wish more of Dunne's matches were bruisefests instead of this typical indie showcase. The Main event and subsequent angle reuniting the 'Swords of Essex' was great stuff and it was rewarding to have waded through all the irreverency to reach the end in which we'r eleft w/ strong heel heat. 7. 25 |

| 9 | 15.01.2017 | marexcel | 7.0 | Jahresabschluss bei PROGRESS: Chapter #41 steht an. Nixons PROGRESS Theme und Entrace ist schon immer ein Punkt allein wert. Da sehe ich wohl das, was andere in Bayley sehen. Der Opener hat trotz des Threesome-Spots gute Action und ist unterhaltsam. Starkes Finish von Nixon. Das anschließende Damen-Match um Storm/Ray läuft etwas unrund, aber noch ok. Das Segment von Johnson/Manson geht überraschend durch. Mal wieder ein Weltklasse-Entrance Marke PROGRESS in Form von Scurll und ZSJ. Scurll eh unfassbar aufgelegt. Meine Herren sprudelte er über vor Charisma. Match nimmt sich auch in der Folge nicht so ernst. „I don’t know any submissions! “ – Headlock. Schöne Sequenz. Bei den 6 Workern hätte man natürlich gern mehr Wrestling gesehen, aber das kam dennoch nicht all zu kurz, wenn auch zu szenenartig. Unter’m Strich aber wirklich unterhaltsam. Anschließend schön, Aichner bei PROGRESS zu sehen. Das Match mit Dunne gefällt mir gut und hat Matchguide-Niveau in meinen Augen. Das schlimmste am Match sind die Chants der Crowd für Dunne. Nervtötend! Aber: „See you on the network! “. Das folgende Tag-Match war nur Klamauk, wirre Card-Position in meinen Augen. Chapter #41 zeigt auch wieder deutlich: Entrance können sie. Havocs Entrance reißt den Laden schon fast ab. Letztlich schafft es das Match aber auch. Heel-Ospreay mit einer verzweifelten Attitütde und Havoc, der nicht kleinzukriegen ist. Gute Story gut verkauft in einem starken Match. Aber schön, wie die Leuchte Paul Robinson im Aftermath den Barbed Wire-Bat zwischen Arm und Körper einklemmt. Trotzdem ein würdiger Jahresabschluss und auch ein Abschluss einer sehenswerten Show. |

Das Tag Title 3 Way war sehr solide (***¼). Dunne vs. Aichner war okay (**½). Der Co Mainer war grauenhaft (DUD). Der ME zwischen Havoc und Ospreay war gut mit starker Schlussphase (***½). Insgesamt sind das dann 4, 42 von 10 Punkten - 'ausreichend'. |

Man wusste im Vorfeld viele Matches nicht und das die Leaders Of The New School hier wieder auftauchten war einfach nur klasse. Ein unfassbar starker Opener den ich super fand (***1/2). Es ging stark weiter den Kay Lee vs Toni war fast so stark (***1/4). PROGRESS Tag Team Title Three Way Match war der erster Kracher. Zack in der Box und wie der Crowd es dann abgefeiert hat das er da war so episch auch genial wie Marty da mit dem Crowd spielte. Match selbst war einfach nur super zig starke Szenen (****). PROGRESS World Title Match sah auf der Card etwas schwach aus aber das Title Match war stark (***1/4). Co-Main Event hat mich auch überrascht richtig gutes Tag Team Match. Der Main Event genau so stark wie das PROGRESS Tag Team Title Three Way Match. Heel Turn von Will und alle hassten Will nach dem Match, großartig. Top Main Event (****). Unglaublich sau starkes Chapter nur gute bzw. sehr gute Matches und super Crowd, 9 sehr starke Punkte. |

The 3-Way Match is MOTN (****1/4), closely followed by the main-event, a very good reborn of a great rivalry. Great performance by the ladies too, and once again, Fabian Aichner continue to improve ! An awesome end for PROGRESS, for a tremendous year. |
