| 1 | 27.01.2018 | IsThisWrestling | 6.0 | 1. Tremont/Hyde: ** ½ (Good opener without any flashy highspots, just 2 guys beating each other up) 2. Claxton/Cassidy: ** ¾ (Good match with a solid heel/face dynamic. Gruesome spots with skewers make me cringe. Claxton is super over. Fun stuff) 3. G-Raver/Cannonball: ** ¾ (A little slow at points but a pretty solid match, reminds me of something from IWA-MS in the early 2000s except with an attempted tattooing) 4. Moore/Bueller: ** ¾ (Solid little match here with Bueller being the stand out, taking a crazy bump through carpet strips, just shredding his own chest with a tube in his trademark spot, and just in general busting his ass to make Moore look good) 5. Murdoch/Patricks: ** ¾ (These 2 tried a lot of stuff here but the shitty venue really held them back. Still a very violent match with a hot crowd) 6. Claxton/Tremont: *** (Claxton takes a supreme amount of punishment, bumping through several whacky redneck contraptions, yet pulls off the upset win over Tremont. Great stuff) 7. Raver/Moore: * ½ (Boring stuff here. Decent selling from Moore. Awesome finish) 8. Crane/Murdoch ** (Pretty cohesive yet boring match) 9. Finals: *** ¼ (A lot of glass smashery but with fun spots mixed between, mainly from Claxton. Crane, I hate to say it, is almost totally useless in this match. I wish it were Murdoch instead. Claxton? s chair Tombstone is one of my favorite spots. Altogether, great way to end the tournament) This show was very solid and accentuated by great performances from Claxton and Tremont especially. |
