[6.0] "Really nice main event, but other than that, there wasn't much to enjoy here. Nothing was awful, even the giant matches were fine, but nothing really stood out (except for the main)."

[2.0] "If you want to see for yourself how Antonio Inoki went completely bonkers in the early 2000's check out this show. It's literally difficult to watch at times because your mind refuses to believe what your eyes are seeing. Let's start with the good: there are a grand total of three wrestling matches on the card. The trios match with Liger, Muto/Hase vs Fujinami/Nishimura and the main event. None can be considered remotely good and the high point was The Great Sasuke taking a particularly nasty suplex from Jado, but they are masterpieces compared to the rest of the card. My understanding is that Inoki here was trying to make the folks who worked in his own promotion like complete losers, and said folks clearly understood it and stopped giving a damn. Why kill yourself in the ring when your boss is pushing barely trained people in MMA gear (but they look so tough! ), very tall folks who can barely move (but they look so strong! ), having as main event a title defense for another promotion (but... ) and making you look like a pathetic buffoon in the process (but it's good for business! )? Satoshi Kojima grabbed his bags and ran for the exit after this show, can we really blame him? The low point of the evening is reached with the IWGP Jr Heavyweight match which manages to suck and blow at the same time, possibly the worst match NJPW ever seen and that includes Giant Gonzalez matches. An unmitigated catastrophe of an event."
