Ich weiß nicht ob das mit ihm und PWG passen wird, aber ganz nett ihn mal da zu haben. Elgin gegen Kamaitachi hat mir dann aber sehr gut gefallen. Kamaitachi habe ich das erste mal hier gesehen und ich fand ihn super. Der darf gerne wiederkommen und Elgin ist eh immer zuverlässig im Ring. Scurll gegen Andrews war auch ganz gut auch wenn ich mit beiden nicht so wirklich warm werde. Aber sicherlich ein gutes Match. Lee ist für mich immer noch ein unterschätzter Mann bei PWG. Der sollte wirklich mehr haben als die Midcard. Das Match war war gegen seinen CWF Kumpel Everett sehr gut. Endlich Cobb bei PWG. Richtig gutes Match gegen Hero. Die beiden Heavyweights gegeneinander war wirklich gut. Schönes Debut. Offenen Herausforderung von McIntyre . Ich kann den immer noch nicht leiden und hoffe das das Kapitel bei PWG hoffentich bald beendet ist. Strong und Callihan reißen dann noch ein sehr ordentliches Match heraus. Ingesamt eine solide Show. Da ist noch Steigerungspotenzial nach oben möglich. |
| 3 | 24.05.2018 | Paul Allain | 6.0 | The show started timidly, with a conservative but efficient opener, followed by a disjointed match that took a while to find its groove. Andrews/Scurll was the first notable match, a delightful battle of british rising stars with a great dynamic between them. Everett/Trevor had evident flaws and an infuriatingly slow beginning, but grew into a worthwhile match with a truly breathtaking finishing stretch. Cobb/Hero is the low-point of the night, a mindless scuffle that drags on forever failing to find cohesion. Elgin/Galloway was just okay, with Drew Galloway looking much more impressive than his adversary. The main event was far and away the best match of the night, a mind-blowing intense fight between two resilient athletes, completed with a storyline that plugs two new players into the main event scene. Outside of the two fantastic matches, everything else felt like a B-Show that oscillated between fine and awful, making for a satisfying show that just doesn't feel special compared to PWG's prime product. |

But perhaps charging an exorbitant amount is punk for 2016; everything is cyclical... Now punk is saying 'f**k you' to the people. Then again, injury is one thing but if a competitor cancels literally a night or two before, I think an organization of this caliber should do something extra to provide these paying customers as they did not get all they paid for. In addition, this organization has become so over with the mainstream that Meltzer shows up for half the shows guaranteeing us cagematch devotees added opportunity to comment as now every match is 'Recommended. ' Throughout the mid 2000s-early 2010s, even upon being asked, Meltzer would Very rarely show up... now he does the drive. Anyway, I sincerely hope PWG adds the word 'variety' to their line-ups as with no tags or matches with any stipulations this event felt a tad monotonous. Nonetheless, after SC's moves post-match noone went home dissatisfied. Cheers |

| 12 | 19.08.2016 | MAGICIAN | 8.0 | Cole vs. Castle im Opener war ziemlich unterhaltend und bringt die Crowd ziemlich gut in Schwung (**¾). Elgin vs. Kamaitachi war ziemlich stark mit nem netten Death Valley Driver Spot und einer sehr sehr guten Schlussphase. Kamaitachi liefert hier ein richtig gutes Debut ab, beide haben eine gute Chemie. Starkes Match (***¾)! Scurll vs. Andrews war ebenfalls sehr stark. Schönes simples Storytelling kombiniert mit classic Marty Scurll, ein paar netten Flips & einer starken Schlussphase ergeben ein sehr schönes Match (***¾ + MotN). Lee vs. Andrews wurde in der Schlussphase ziemlich gut. Finish war sehr gut gemacht, Springboard into Small Package Driver - guter Spot. Insgesamt solide (***). Hero vs. Cobb war ein gutes Bigman/Bigman Match, wo Cobb teils sogar in seine LU Rolle kam und so 2 Piledriver nosellen durfte. Gutes Storytelling, gute Schlussphase, gutes Finish. Insgesamt gut (***½). Galloway vs. Elgin war ebenfalls ziemlich stark. Respekt an Elgin an dieser Stelle, dass er gleich 2 Matches auf einer Show workt und dann 2 richtig gute. Beide passten gut zueinander, das Match war durchgehend actionbepackt. Es gab einige gute Spots (u. a. ein Super Death Valley Driver), einen sehr geilen Kickout nach dem Future Shock, das Ende ist ebenfalls ordentlich. Insgesamt ein ziemlich gutes Match (***¾)! Strong vs. Callihan im ME war eigentlich auch ziemlich gut mit schönen stiffen Aktionen und einigen netten Spots am Apron und außerhalb des Rings, wäre nicht diese dämliche Finishphase gewesen. So zwar immer noch sehr solide, für mich aber leider nicht mehr gut (***¼). Insgesamt sind das dann 7, 79 von 10 Punkten - "gut". |

Cole/Castle was good, but it was still the worst match on the show (***). Elgin/Kamaitachi was great, outstanding performance by Hiromu, really looking forward to his next PWG matches (****). Scurll/Andrews was very good (*** 3/4) and so was Lee/Everett (*** 1/2). Cobb/Hero was a HOSS FIGHT and it was exactly what it needed to be, just two big dudes beating the shit out of each other (*** 3/4). Elgin/Galloway was really good, but there wasn't much heat because it was Elgin's second match of the night (*** 1/2). Roddy/Callihan started really slow, but then eventually picked up and last few minutes were awesome, but the ending with Cole and Castle was bad and that's why I gave it only *** 1/4. Really fun show to watch, but it lacked MOTY contenders to make it an outstanding show. |

Es fehlten aber auch irgendwie die Krachermatches, die man sonst von PWG gewohnt ist. Das stärkste Match der Show war für mich Elgin vs. Kamaitachi (****). Es war auch mal interessant Jeff Cobb ausserhalb seines Lucha Underground Gimmicks zu sehen. Die PWG Crowd hat sein Debüt auch sehr gut angenommen. Er darf gerne wiederkommen. |

Wieder mal ein Event wo alles im Guide gelandet ist und deshalb jeweils dort mehr. Mein Match of the Night war Kamaitachi vs. Michael Elgin. Ich würde sagen Prince ist bei diesen drei Events bei mir auf Platz 2, Bowie Platz 3 und Lëmmy auf Platz 1. |

MotN für mich Andres vs. Scurll dicht gefolgt von Hero vs. Cobb. |

Cole/Castle was a good opener, the best Cole match in a while & Castle looked impressive (***), Kamaitachi/Elgin was really good & a great PWG debut for Kamaitachi (***1/2), Andrews/Scurll was just them doing a bunch of moves (*), same goes for Everett/Lee (*), Hero/Cobb is my pick for the best match of the night, Hero might just be the best in the world at the moment, and Jeff Cobb looked impressive as he got to show off his freakish strength & athleticism - great debut for the guy (***3/4), Galloway/Elgin was a bit too long, didn't like it (*3/4), the main event between Roderick Strong & Sami Callihan was real solid, 3rd best match of the night (***1/2). The show had some bad matches (Andrews/Scurll, Everett/Lee, Elgin/Galloway), but it also had a good match in Cole/Castle + 3 really good matches in Elgin/Kamaitachi, Hero/Cobb + Callihan/Roddy. Definitely nowhere near the best PWG shows that I've watched, but it was a pretty good show. |
