(KOTDM 09 night 1 has better score at the moment, really? ) From a pure DM-show standpoint, this was a very good show. Sure this wasn´t the best MOP overall, but MOP always has better booking, better participants and more creative & interesting stipulations than most DM-tourneys. They put a lot more effort in to offering a overall great package and smoothly flowing entertaining show. Also this tournament had the best MOP opening match ever; Brain Damage vs. Necro Butcher ****(+) Highly recommended match. A hard hitting match that delivered what people wanted to see from these two. Pondo vs Havoc was an entertaining short match. Brain Damage vs Pondo - it was enjoyable to see BD destroy Pondo. Sick bumps on the bed of nails. Semi final - Koke Hane vs Numazawa was quite unpredictable in content, just fun match to watch because of Numazawa´s demolition of the wooden bunkhouse. Final match; BD vs Deranged had few sloppy spots, but it was a heavy battle between two tag partners. You could see both being fatigued and beat up from previous matches, which added a sense of struggle for the final. In closing: only the first match was what you would call as recommendable, but still all the other matches were fun and entertaining. |

Danach langweilt mich mal wieder Pondo, der vielleicht einfach mal aufhören sollte mit was er da im Ring treibt. Lane ist ein ganz brauchbarer Mann, zumindest besser als der Fly In Numazawa, der mich noch nie begeistert hat. Damage ist im Match vs Pondo schon müde, was dann im Finale gegen Hane dann seinen Höhepunkt findet. Zwei blutende Brocken ohne Luft und ohne großen Plan, aber einer großen Menge Tubes, die alle kaputt gekloppt werden. |

Und auch der Hardcore Aspekt kommt für mich nur bedingt rüber. Mit Koke Hane gewinnt dann auch jemand der es mal nicht verdient hat. Damage wäre der bessere Sieger gewesen. Aktion des Abends sicherlich eine wirklich brutale Powerbomb von Damage gegen Mad Man Pondo auf ein Nagelbrett. MotN: Brain Damage vs. Necro Butcher |
