[6.0] "Was pretty mediocre overall with AJ vs Cena and Roman vs Seth carrying this rating. Most of the other matches aside from the actual ladder match which was great btw, is weekly show material and was disappointing to see on a ppv."

[9.0] "This show's undercard is very bad, but the first Cena Vs Styles match is fantastic, the MITB ladder is just incredible and the ending is brilliant with the both Roman Vs Seth being fantastic and Dean's MITB cash in making this the show where all three members of The Shield were WWE World Champion all in one night. Overall WWE Money In The Bank (2016) is a fantastic show mostly thanks to its top matches and brilliant closing angle with The Shield."

Watch John Cena vs. AJ Styles and maybe the money in the bank ladder match, as well as Dean Ambrose cashing in after the main event. Nothing else is much worth revisiting."

[7.0] "This is a weird PPV to rate because dear god, the undercard was rubbish. But at least that's better than the pattern of "good undercard, shit main event" WWE would get into some years later. But still, it delivered on its main objective: to have all three Shield members champions on one night, and to actually give Ambrose some respect. Of course, it was not to last - the frustrations over always being the red-headed stepchild meant Ambrose would end up walking away from a mega contract through burnout and go back to wrestling for the love of wrestling instead - but it was nice while it lasted."

[10.0] "This PPV will forever be one of my favorite WWE PPVs I have ever witnessed live. Back then, I was a huge Shield mark. I loved every single member. I remember being a young teenage wrestling mark watching this show, and when Seth beat Roman to win the WWE Championship, I went absolutely crazy. Seth was my guy back then, and I was so happy for him winning the WWE belt, but what happens afterwards is even better. Dean Ambrose, after winning the MITB briefcase in a very fun match, comes out and cashes in and beats Seth for the WWE title. In a matter of minutes, all three members of The Shield all hold the top prize in the WWE, the WWE Championship. While I'm watching on my computer as Dean cashes in, I go absolutely crazy. I mark out so hard and so intensely, something I very rarely do, even today. Three of my favorite wrestlers all hold the top belt in WWE in one night, with my favorite, Dean, ending that night as champion. You really can't ask for a better moment as a young pro wrestling fan. On top of that, this was the PPV with the very first AJ Styles vs John Cena match. Two guys who had established themselves as THE top guys in their respective company. AJ with TNA, and Cena with WWE. At the time, I was on cloud nine. This, for me, is one of the best and most memorable WWE PPVs of all time."

[7.0] "Actually, the show was carried by 3 matches. AJ/cena for the first time wasn't great MOTYC but not too bad. Good story here when AJ outperformed cena and proved he was better wrestler. However, the ending sucked which made me disappointed***3/4. MITB match was really great. Some great nasty bumps from the participants. Ambrose winning was quite predictable but made sense enough ****1/4. Reigns/rollins was very good but couldn't reach the great level***3/4. Crowd booed reigns and he played heel here. He seemed to be more comfortable as a heel. Rollins winning title back was great, but the cash in was even more memorable. Ambrose became wwe champ, which was a little too late but satisfied me. The rest of the show wasn't much special. Opener was average sloppy **1/2. Ziggler/corbin sucked *, so did the women match *. Crews/sheamus was ok **. US title match was just there with no heat *1/2. So a 7 - good show overall with 3 matches carrying the show."

[4.0] "This review includes the pre-show which there isn't much to say about . Mixed bag of a show . It took until the 6th match to come across a match . I would consider good . Second half of the show definitely picked up with some pretty good matches . I am not a fan of the Money In The Bank concept as it only serves to devalue the title , which lets face it already has very little value . The announcing was awful as expected . Matches worth watching : Apollo Crews vs. Sheamus , AJ Styles vs. John Cena , Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth Rollins and my top match was Alberto Del Rio vs. Cesaro vs. Chris Jericho vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn ."

[8.0] "I'd give this show an overall 8 as it features 2 amazing match in Styles vs Cena (****1/2) and the MITB ladder match (****1/4) and also a great moment in the end with the Ambrose cash in and having all 3 Shield members hold the WWE title on one show. The Main event was also decent (***1/4) and everything else ranged from very poor in the Womens Match (*1/2) to average; opening tag (**), Corbin vs Ziggler was well structured and built up very well (**3/4) and Rusev vs O'Neil was a decent hard hitting brawl (**). Overall a good show."

[8.0] "This was a good show that featured a trio of excellent matches. The downside being that most of the undercard was total forgettable nothingness. The top three matches all delivered, the MOTN in my opinion being the great MITB match which featured many creative bumps, with the "dream match" of AJ/Cena a close second. That one kind of got off to a slow start, looking pretty messy in the early stages, and Cena's incredibly loud spot calling was getting seriously distracting at points. In the end though it built to a really dramatic conclusion in which the right guy won. Ambrose getting the belt at the end was a nice, unpredictable touch, though I honestly don't see him holding the belt long, and fear he'll likely be a stop-gap champion until Reigns returns: 1, Tag Titles: (**1/2) 2, Ziggler vs. Corbin (*1/2) 3, Womens Tag (**) 4, Sheamus vs. Apollo Crews (**1/2) 5, Cena vs. AJ (****1/4) 6, MITB Match (****1/2) 7, US Title (*1/2) 8, Reigns vs. Rollins (****)"

I was elated to see Roman get pinned clean, then when Dean cashed in it was amazing, the MITB ladder match also delivered. I already respected KO a ton before this PPV but with the bumps he took in that match I gained even more respect for him."

[7.0] "Good PPV. I wanted Cesaro or Ambrose to win and Ambrose did. He deserves to be WWE World heavyweight champion. Aj Styles proved why he is the best wrestler of 2015 despite the cheap victory. Seth Rollins was awesome despite being out of the ring for a long time though the start was a little bit shaky. Cesaro took some nasty bumps. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were awesome. In the end, Dean Ambrose was the MVP of the night winning the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and then the WWE World heavyweight championship."
DanTalksRasslin wrote on 21.06.2016:
[6.0] "The Styles vs. Cena match was excellent, marred only by a lackluster ending (though we know it won't be the last time they hook up). The MITB was fine, though not one of the most memorable matches of its type, the tag title match was fun, and the main event's outcome and follow-up were well done. Ambrose' story arc was well done. The rest of the show was thoroughly average, bordering on tedious."

[7.0] "All the main matches delivered, but there was just TOO MUCH FILLER. Just cut Crews/Sheamus, Ziggler/Corbin and the Women's match (I gave them ** 1/4, ** 1/2 and 1/2*), and this was a 9/10 show. The opener was fine, but sloppy at times (** 3/4). Rusev/Titus was fine as well (** 1/2). Cena/AJ was great; they told a great story, the heat was awesome, but ugh.. that finish. Fuck this. (****). Ladder Match was tremendous (**** 1/4), and I liked the main event way more than I thought I would (****). The ending was great though. Overall a really good show, but this show just went too long and as usual there were some booking issues."
Evan Callaway wrote on 20.06.2016:
[6.0] "This was a very interesting PPV to watch: excellent booking but not so much in wrestling quality. The tag team match was very solid. Cena vs Styles was good but it could do better. The Money in the Bank ladder match was the best match of the evening, no doubt. Then we have a lot of fillers: another Ziggler vs Corbin that no one wanted to see, Crews vs Sheamus without any heat, a women's match that don't stand for the recent revolution, a USA title match that nobody really cared. And of course the WWE championship match that was painful to watch but got a good finish. And, of course, Ambrose cashing in was spetacular."

[1.0] "An awful PPV, in my opinion. The first 4 matches (tag title, Corbin/Ziggler, women's tag + Crews/Sheamus) all were just straight out bad (*), Styles/Cena was really disappointing considering all the hype & the potential that the match had on paper (*1/4), the MITB ladder match was the best match of the night, a very good spotfest (***1/2), Rusev/Titus was definitely better than I expected it to be, one of the better matches of the night (**3/4) & the main event was good, with a great performance by Roman Reigns (***). Nothing must see, but a very good ladder match, a pretty good Rusev vs. Titus bout & a good main event. I thought that the first 5 matches were all awful though, so that definitely lowers the score."

[8.0] "After a poor first hour and a bit, it turned out to be a good PPV in the end. Tag Match had potential, but turned very sloppy. They made a fundamental error in my opinion and should of put Sheamus vs Crews on the Pre Show. Things picked up at Styles vs Cena, good match but did expect better, ending was a bit naff. MITB Match was awesome, action packed, some terrific spots and all six guys did well. As for the main event & ending I thought it was booked superbly, decent match and an ending that makes sense going forward."

[8.0] "Money in the Bank is usually an exciting event. This year it lasts more than 3 hours and 20 minutes and has a disappointing undercard (Ziggler vs Corbin and Sheamus vs Crews are a waste of time, Rusev vs O'Neil is boring), with some great matches. AJ Styles vs Cena isn't their perfect match but it's okay for the feud, the MITB is one of the bests, Reigns vs Rollins is a brilliant display of storytelling and a good match. There are surprises until the end, so it gets better with the time. Recommended."
AJfan83 wrote on 20.06.2016:
[6.0] "First hour was horrible. In true, Enzo & Cass wins the TTC, because ref counted to 3 (Luke Gallows botched here). AJ vs Cena was good (****) but the ending was really horrible, Gallows and Luke just didn't need to be there. Ladder match was MOTN (****1/4) Main Event was good (****) Seth and Roman have good chemistry together. I don't like Dean Ambrose but I'm happy for her be champion. Best MITB or 8/9 only by cash-in Ambrose? No way."
Banshee wrote on 20.06.2016:
[6.0] "The first half was really boring, tag teams tried to botch everything they could, Corbin/Ziggler seemed too long and completely unnecessary, I hope it's the last chapter of this pointless feud. I'm curious to see where this Natalya's turn will lead, at least they're doing something new in women's division lol. Crews/Sheamus was an average Raw match, as well as the US title one - Rusev bullying Titus' sons made me laugh though. Styles/Cena finally made me wake up, but we all know Cena won't lose clean to AJ so nevermind. Good MitB and main event, even if the cash in "overshadowed" the first CLEAN loss by Reigns since... I don't remember."

[9.0] "Prior to the show, I've said that Ambrose needs to win MITB if he would ever be main event material. Funny how that plays out now. Hopefully he gets a good run with the title (and more). Ohio just got two new champs. All members of the Shield have now been world champions (in one night). This show was almost perfect. The 4 way tag team match seemed sloppy and wasn't choreographed well. Overall, great show."

Crews vs Sheamus was decent **1/2. Styles vs Cena IMO was amazing. People found it slow but I found it to be incredible with great storytelling ****3/4. MITB was incredible ****1/2. Titus vs Rusev was decent too **1/2. Reigns vs Rollins was slow but picked up as it went ****1/4. Ambrose winning the title was just awesome. I would've preferred he have a hard fought win in his first title win but I'm happy nonetheless. Hopefully now they let Ambrose use his whole arsenal cause the dude is one hell of a wrestler"

Styles/Cena delivered big, Tag Titles was good and very enjoyable, Rollins/Reigns was really good, Money in the Bank ladder match was just great, and everything else was either bad or average but the ending to this show was freaking INCREDIBLE!"

[9.0] "A very entertaining show! The tag opener was fun, then the next three matches (Corbin/ Ziggler, Charlotte & Dana/ Becky & Nattie, Apollo/ Sheamus) were solid without being anything too special, then I think the show was fantastic from here on. Styles/ Cena was a great match, I liked the ending because Styles is supposed to be a heel and he's playing a good heel, despite how popular he is! Then was one of the best MITB matches ever and definitely my favourite of the last few years, really entertaining from start to finish! Rusev getting a win was good. The main event was a great match, can't believe Seth actually won that clean... Made me gutted for the cash in because I'm not the biggest Ambrose fan, but there's no denying this was a great, entertaining show and Ambrose as champ will be fun! Top stuff"
