Matches worth watching : Anthony Nese vs. Fred Yehi , Cedric Alexander vs. Matt Riddle , Drew Galloway & Ethan Carter III vs. Johnny Gargano & TJP (w/Stokely Hathaway) , Timothy Thatcher (c) vs. Chris Hero and my top match was Catch Point (Drew Gulak & Tracy Williams) (w/Fred Yehi & TJP) (c) vs. The Bravado Brothers (Harlem Bravado & Lancelot Bravado) ."

[7.0] "Really good show. Yehi/Nese was way better than I expected (***1/4), Cedric/Riddle was also better than expected (***). Hero/Thatcher was absolutely fantastic. Hero is just on another level currently. He played a fantastic dickish heel in this match and matched Thatcher's intensity. Great stuff (****1/4)."

[8.0] "I enjoyed this weekend's Evolve shows - the first two matches were forgettable but at least the first served a purpose and the second was there to show how particularly awful Darby Allin is... just flipping about with no sense... but that Riddle/Alexander contest was incredible. I too have high hopes for Riddle in that I already feel he's an excellent worker and about as physically combative and daring with his limbs as any current competitor. However, I'm worried about his lasting power as there's something about his ragged visage that evokes concern from me - it's as if the combination of his lifestyle and workrate will shorten the possible great career he might have. The tag title match was quality and of an epic length and as it went on I felt my trust growing in these four to put on a credible as well as exciting match-up. The title match was good but last year Mania's match was more memorable. I think I'm not the only one who feels that Thatcher, as the fave of the zeitgeist, has become predictable in that his grunting expressions of a grueling contest attract more attention than any work he's putting together. The main event was appropriately wild; some may complain of the over-booking and the inclusion of Hero but it's typical self-important Gabe Sapolsky schtick. Credit to TJP for taking a vicious powerbomb through a table by big Drew. Solid show."

[8.0] "Fun show. US debut for Joe Coffey is a good thing. Newly crowned FIP World Champion Fred Yehi and Nese tore it up and a new beginning for Nese. Darby Allin with a good effort, I don't care for his look/gimmick but it was impossible not to root for him in this gutsy showing. Matthew Riddle and Cedric Alexander stole the show, great to see so much respect shown to both. Galloway and EC3 are absolute money in the ring (and the streets) and on the mic. Chris Hero also makes a good case for his "greatest of all time" claim, though really does feel like Thatcher's reign has gone as long as it can go, even the respectful fans are growing weary. Evolve Tag Title match had great moments but the Orpheum isn't always the best venue for live wrestling, so I feel like I missed some of its subtler moments. EVOLVE continues to be worth the ticket or PPV price."

Yehi vs Nese and Riddle vs Alexander were really exciting openers, Catch Point vs The Bravado Brothers was an epic match, maybe even better than American Alpha vs The Revival, Thatcher vs Hero was as good as any of their previous encounters and once again the main event had its surprises. EVOLVE is on fire this year. Can't wait to see what's next."
