[6.0] "This episode definitely suffered as it was just another set of matches in the TV tapings. I was in attendance for the show, and TNA did a great job of filling you in (Via Borash) as to what had been happening the previous few months (including the previous days tapings). Now, I love Lockdown. The idea of a show full of cage matches saves everyone from the rigmrolle of the cage coming up and down, and to me sounds really interesting. Beer Money vs Bram and Young was great, Trevor Lee vs Tigre was very one-dimensional, Grado vs Edi Drake was surprisingly high tempo, and Grado is a great laugh, and the main event was really a great match live, especially with promos being shown all night hyping up this fued. Shame the fued never really made sense with Matt and EC3 doing the double swap just before this, but Matt was definitely better as the heel for this match. Then, there was lethal lockdown divas match... Awful. Just awful. The TV version of this match completely edited out 70% of the match with all the botches, bad moves, standing about, and then the 'surprise tag partner' in Maria, who came out, wasn't announced, and proceeded to turn heel. Made zero sense in attendance. Was going to give this show a 7, but just thinking about that ladies match makes this a 6."

[3.0] "The high ratings here... ugh. This was an awful show. Beer Money vs Bram and EY was very basic. There was really nothing of interest, plus it was far too short to allow for anything meaningful to occur. The X-Division match was even shorter. Just SIX minutes. Lee portrays his heel persona in a very over the top manner. They had a few good sequences together, and Uno's cross-body spot was impressive, but the match wasn't long enough to actually be considered worthwhile. Plus the finish was bullshit, as Lee doesn't properly sell Uno's big cross-body and somehow overpowers him right after for the win. The Knockouts displayed terrible technique, selling, and energy as always. The few good wrestling moments came from Kim and Jade, and even they performed poorly half the time. The use of weapons was impressive at least, resulting in a few cool spots, but overall still a bad match. Drake vs Odarg was infuriatingly unfunny. Grado is an awful character that needs to be removed from TNA. His personality isn't charming, it's aggravating. Hardy vs EC3 was mediocre. Hardy is a below average wrestler who also overacts his heel gimmick. He's painful to watch in any respect really. EC3 has great charisma and an alright moveset, but I would have liked to see more from him. I did like the end events with Spud at least. The Decay also continues being promoted despite being incredibly uninteresting, cringeworthy, and try-hard 'dark'. Lockdown 2016 was the sort of event ONLY a TNA fan could like."

[10.0] "I'd say this is the best episode of Impact since they came to POP, they decided to put a lot on this special episode and I think it majorly paid off. The first three matches are all solid stuff and either advance or end the storylines they are about. The Grado stuff was, well, it was inoffensive anyway, more forgettable than actually bad. The big story is the main event of course, which on top of being an excellent match featured one of the most interesting turns in memory. It's a risky move to turn a guy who is very over as a babyface, but I love how well it fits into both Spud's character and the great history he has with EC3. A year ago in the same arena EC3 horribly abused Spud, not only shaved his head and spilled his blood but tried to break his spirit, in front of his family and friends no less. And for all this, Spud will let it go just because EC3 shakes his hand one time? I loved Matt Hardy telling Spud that he earned the right to bash Ethan's head in. I can't wait to see what happens between them, EC3 should absolutely win the title back at some point but if he takes a detour to add another chapter with Spud, I'm all for it. I also like them bringing in Jimmy Havoc, he's a good addition to the roster whether it is full or part time. Good wrestling and strong storytelling, a great episode of Impact."

[10.0] "Great show from TNA which seems to be the norm in 2016! Really solid top to bottom with a crazy swerve to end the show! Beer Money vs Maniacs: *** X Division Title: **3/4 Lethal Lockdown: ***1/4 Odarg vs Eli: *1/2 World Title: ***1/2"
