[9.0] "Being at this show live was something else. Just looking at who was on the show says a lot. Jushin Liger, Jerry Lawler, & Kurt Angle working singles matches on the same show, and all of them deliver a quick, enjoyable "play the hits" match in different styles. More interestingly, a comedy match in which Hiromu Takahashi, one of the best Jr. Heavyweights NJPW has ever seen and one of the best wrestlers in the world, gives Velvet Sky a stinkface while Swoggle is at ringside. There's just a lot of stuff the 3000 people there can say they saw live that no other wrestling show was able to put together, and that's about the best praise a show with this premise can get really."

[9.0] "I've been to the last three NEW Dutchess Stadium shows, and they always put on a fun live experience, especially with the pre-show fanfest (got to add several more legends to my autograph collection). These are the company's biggest events of the year, and while they always have good "dream match" main events, I though this year's edition was the best top-to-bottom card yet. The main event between Angle and Cody was very strong and had a surprising (but not unwelcome) result. Jeff Hardy vs. Liger was also a nice dream match between two generations of high flyers and showed that Liger still has it; the result was also a bit of a surprise (also going along with the night's theme of passing the torch). There was also a good brawl with really fun character work between BROKEN Matt Hardy and Sami Callihan, a strong opener with lots of crisp high-flying in the four-way opener, a fun six-person tag comedy match, Lawler and Brawler turning in a nice little nostalgia match, and a good tag team battle between the NOW and the Battle Brothers that told a good story of a recently-reunited team overcoming physically-imposing opponents. A great night of wrestling and I look forward to next year."

[9.0] "This was a very fun show to be at live, and the gathering of talent it had allowed me to see so many great talents wrestle in person for the first time. The worst match on this show was the dark match, and even that wasn't particularly bad. Most of the card ranged from "good" to "very good", with the highlights being the 4-Way Elimination match (Gordon is gonna be the next big thing, I can just tell) and the brawl of a match between Broken Matt and Space Cat Callihan (both ***1/2). The 6-Person Intergender Tag was great comedy, as Kamaitachi, one of the best wrestlers in the world, creeped on and harassed Velvet Skye the entire time, including giving her a stinkface of all things; very funny, if surreal, tag (***). Seeing Jerry Lawler wrestle live was an honor, and his match with Brooklyn Brawler felt like it was pulled out of a show from 3 decades ago (***1/4). Liger is an absolute joy to see live as well as an honor, and his first-time-ever match with Jeff Hardy was surreal, and pretty good to boot (***1/4). Ryback's short cameo to hit his spots on Stevie Stamos was fun, even if I expected him to have some sort of match. The main event, however, that was great stuff. The match was structured exactly how you would expect it to be, starting with matwork, then moving into back-and-forth offense which builds into signatures and eventually a finish, but the pacing and selling worked so well. The sizable crowd loved every major turn of events, and popped like crazy for the Angle Slam and Ankle Lock, as well as the Cross Rhodes. A great main event (****) to a very, very fun show."
