[8.0] "The first match was good, but short considering the stakes. The second match should've been shorter. Then the main event is what gives this episode most of its rating since it was an awesome match"

[8.0] "This was easily the best episode of Lucha Underground so far this season, even with its weak middle. The show opened with Ivelisse, Angelico, and Son of Havoc defeating the Disciples of Death for the Trios Titles in a match that would have seen them banished from the Temple had they lost. Texano then defeated Chavo Guerrero, Jr. in a dull Bullrope Match that hopefully means we've seen the last of both of them. Finally, Fenix defeated Mil Muertes for the Lucha Underground Title in the match of the night."

[7.0] "Big episode this time with two title matches on the card and having to build towards Aztec Warfare. The opening segment is a very Telenovela supernatural bit between Catrina and Fenix. Its a bit over the top but Catrina is one of the cooler characters in the show so it works out. First match of the night Trios title bout between the former champs and the Disciiples. The match goes by super quick, the faces work really well in tandem. Ivelissegets worked over for a little bit leading to the hot tag and its all Angelico over the Disciples. The unlikely Trio win back the belts much easier than one would expect (6/10) Backstage segment with Mundo cutting a promo as Puma spars in the background unti lhe punches through a punching bag in anger, Badass. Mysterio and Dragon Azteca drink tequila and confirm they're finally showing up at the temple next episode. Back in the ring now for Chavo vs Texano in a bullrope match. The Crew abandon him immediately. 6 minutes of uninspired brawling and some rope spots later Texano wins the feud. There wasn't much to care about here (4/10) Matanza appears on screen after killing enough mooks in another vignette with he's debut incoming. Mil Muertes beats up the Disciples backstage and we go into the main event. The Man of a Thousand Deaths vs. the Man with a Thousand Lives. Its a very brutal match with Fenix getting bloodied and hit with every powermove Mil knows. The Powerbomb to the announcers desk looked gnarly. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of Fenix winning with a roll up, but its a very good match anyways (8/10) In response Catrina makes Aztec Warfare for the title with Fenix getting spot 1 and Muertes spot 20 just like last season. Outside of the Chavo/Texano feud that was fairly boring, the episode did its job really well. Two feel good babyface title wins, a good main event and a lot of hype built for the following show."

[7.0] "Pretty good show, saved mostly by the main event, though Catrina making Aztec Warfare for the championship is a little head-scratching when she has no authority whatsoever to do so."

[6.0] "I think this was a good show to promote the upcoming Aztec Warfare, specially because of the video packages and the main event outcome. Some of those vignettes were really weird, such as the Fenix/Catrina one where they begun to kiss out of nowhere and without a storyline sense. Others such as the ones of Dario Cueto and Rey Mysterio/Dragon Azteca were better because they told us that they are coming to Aztec Warfare next week. Changing of subject, on the opener the Unlikely Alliance regain the trios titles after defeating the Disciples of Death, there wasn't much to talk about appart of the result. A spotfest with some cool dives and knee strikes by Angelico. The Disciples of Death had a dissapointing reign. Texano defeated Chavo Guerrero on a bullrope match which means hopefully that feud has ended. I wasn't invested on it. The match had a cool spot, but was mediocre at best. And finally, the main event where Fenix captured the LU world champion after defeating Mil Muertes with a rollup. For me, the two previous matches were better than this one, but it was still good. There are some violent and cool spots, but it was just that, spot after spot and for me it lacked of more storytelling and selling. The two ripping each others mask was a cool detail that I liked."

[8.0] "Aztec Warfare is so close, yet we had this brutal brawl in the main event for the title. Trios match was fine, and its cool to see the dysfunctional tag team still hanging around, ***1/2. Texano vs Chavo was just so uninteresting, ***1/4. The main event was the culmination of a year long rivalry and it finished in awesome fashion, ****1/2."

[6.0] "All the matches where good and the main was very good . The vignettes are getting hokier . Much better performance from Muertes than I was expecting and they used juice to try and add to the drama . Wasn't expecting much when the opening is a make out session . The matches to make it worth watching . matches worth watching : all of them and my top match was Mil Muertes (w/Catrina) (c) vs. Fenix ."

[5.0] "Trios Tag Title match was just a boring spot-fest with a retirement stipulation slapped on to add faux-drama. The Disciples of Death were never a credible threat and its a shame that such a worthless, bland team ever held the titles for so long (especially since they barely ever appeared on the show to actually wrestle). The DoD and Ivelisse really have trouble delivering moves and selling. Son of Havoc had his loveable loser gimmick wear off long ago, and is no longer interesting to watch. Angelico is only ever interesting in a cheap sense when he is doing spots. This was just a really pointless match rushed to fit under 5 minutes. **. Puma x Mundo segment was a nice build up to Aztec Warfare with their rivalry being rekindled. Dragon Azteca isn't that great of an actor, as seen in his segment with Mysterio. What followed was another disappointing match in a pretty boring rivalry between Chavo and Texano. The bullrope stipulation just caused really awkward brawling and I never once felt that it actually added to the match. Glad this rivalry is (hopefully) over now at least. **. Muertes vs Fenix was an okay match. It was filled with a ridiculous amount of violent hardcore spots, and although a few were impressive most of them weren't since there were just so many of those moments that I got bored of them pretty quickly. They did at least help tell the story of Fenix never giving up, and a bit of good 'normal' wrestling was included, so this was okay. ***"

[10.0] "Fantastic event, perhaps the best episode of the season yet. The trios title match as a good spring and Chavo/Texano exceeded my expectations. Of course the bulk of the love must go to the main event, which is perhaps the best yet in the Mil/Fenix series and told a stupendous story from bell to bell. The various build up vignettes to Aztec Warfare were also a slam dunk for me, and the final proclamation that the title would now be on the line was absolutely perfect. Bring on the LU!"

[7.0] "Overall a pretty good show, the Promos and Segments were all really good, Trios Championships was good **3/4, Texas Bullrope was really boring **1/4, and Muertes vs Fenix was ONE FOR THE BOOKS! Awesome Match! ****1/4, Aztec Warfare is coming with Dragon Azteca, and REY MYSTERIO! , oh, and MATANZA IS THE MOST BADASS CHARACTER IN PRO WRESTLING ALREADY!"

[8.0] "A significant show where a lot of things happen. Surprisingly, this time the match count more than the promos. The opening Trio match is good but short, the main event is intense. The Bullrope is not good as I expected. It's not my favorite show in Lucha Underground but it has great moments and it's important."

[9.0] "Everything is zeroing in on Aztec Warfare, and it's awesome. Rey Mysterio, Dragon Azteca, Matanza, etc. Meanwhile, you've got the most lovable dysfunctional trio winning their titles back and two of the longest feuds in Lucha Underground getting a blowoff and a climax, respectively. Texano vs Chavo wasn't a great match, but it was nice to finally see Chavo get his shit pushed in for what he's been pulling since the very first episode of the series. Mil Muertes vs Fenix was just as awesome as their Grave Consequences casket match, and featured a huge title change and a massive shift of power going into Aztec Warfare. Season 2 of LU has kicked things up much faster than the first, and is ramping up to potential new heights."
