[2.0] "I do not know why this episode has a higher score than the last one, in my opinion it is only a little bit better than the first one. Jimmy Snuka as a champion is very controversial in my opinion, I like Glen much more. All the same boring promos and uninteresting matches otherwise, the first episodes of ECW really suck"

[2.0] "This is just weak, weak tv. It's hard to sit through, the commentary is grating, the action is middling at best and some of the promos are laughably bad. Still it's all got to start somewhere and you learn as you go...!"

[3.0] "The Super Destroyers are lousy, The Super Ninja is my kinda trash but The Canadian Wolfman is not it. Eddie Gilbert attacks Terry Funk after apologizing at the start of the show, here's a good place to say I was never sold on Eddie Gilbert. Tommy Cairo vs Jimmy Snuka is fine, no complaints! We get more Eddie Gilbert which isn't ideal and the commentary hits a few new lows. Terry Funk salvages the whole thing at the right moment but then the Rockin Rebel segment is garbage water. Glen Osbourne is once again most valuable in ring talent of the show but I agree with the booking of Jimmy Snuka: inaugural ECW Television champion. I might glow a bit here n there but Oof, this show was ROUGH. Almost as "bad" as the first show but without historical significance to prop it up. 2.75"

[4.0] "This episode of Hardcore TV features the end of the TV Title tournament with Jimmy Snuka vs. Tommy Ciaro and Eddie Gilbert vs. Glen Osborne for the semi finals and then Jimmy Snuka vs. Glen Osborne in the finals. Elsewhere on the card we see The Super Destroyers in another squash match against The Canadian Wolfman and Super Ninja that had a shitty powerslam spot. We are a throwaway Rockin' Rebel vs. Frank Cody match that was legit under 20 seconds long. After the match, Rebel breaks the Sandman's surfboard over Sandman's head and it looks pretty good. It's a definite improvement over the first two episodes."

[4.0] "There weren't many good matches on this show, but the feuds are definitely heating up. Rockin' Rebel busting the surfboard over Sandman's head was certainly a great moment. Snuka and Gilbert do great heel work, but sometimes at the expense of matches being interesting to watch."

[5.0] "Compared to the first two, this one was a little bit better. The TV Title Tournament needed to be booked a little bit better, but it is what it is. The most enjoyable part is the rivalry between Terry Funk and Eddie Gilbert."

[4.0] "A bad show, in my opinion. The segments are better and more interesting than in the previous two episodes but the in-ring was not really good. Especially the second semi-final and the final of the tournament for the TV title. Bad matches, shitty booking and Glen Osbourne looked like an idiot all along because of that. If you make a tournament, you have to make it a minimum competitive if you want it to be attractive and if you want your future title to be strong. They failed here. To me, the best thing in this episode is the Gilbert's imitation of Terry Funk after Snuka's victory over Cairo. And if you pay attention, after Funk kicked Gilbert's ass, when he is in rage, spitting all over, he accidentally hurt a kid and you can hear and see the angry mother right behind the commentators table. A little embarrasing but kind of fun too."

[5.0] "Best of the first 3 episodes by far. What this lacked in good wrestling, it more than made up for with entertaining angles. The feud between Eddie Gilbert and Terry Funk is definitely the best thing on this show at the moment, and they did a great job of furthering that rivalry, as Eddie attacks Funk early in the show, ou for Funk to come back out after Eddie's match to get revenge on him and also cut this really fire promo on him. Then there was also a pretty great angle involving Rockin Rebel and Sandman where Rebel smashes Sandman's surfboard over his head which looked pretty sick. Overall, this wasn't a great show in terns of wrestling, but it did a great job of furthering rivalries through some really great angles."

[4.0] "inoffensive and watchable, but nothing special in this episode aside from a fun looking surfboard shot from Rebel to Sandman. The way it breaks right in half looked pretty nifty. The other angles were a mixed bag in terms of execution and entertainment, but the matches were solid while unspectacular. Really "meh" episode, but hey the strongest of the three so far"

[4.0] "This was probably my favourite episode so far in terms of angles, but a little weaker in-ring than last episode so this still equaled a 4 for me. Eddie Gilbert redeems himself in this one with some good character work and doesn't annoy me like the last episode. Gilbert takes Terry Funk out for Half the show, then comes out and does a hilarious impression of Terry. Funk does return later in the show to get some revenge on Gilbert. Gilbert also stakes his claim in Jimmy Snuka, saying he's a part of Hot Stuff enterprises and will ensure he's the first TV Champ. Jimmy Snuka does end up becoming the first TV Champ by defeating Glen Osbourne in the finals. The Super Destroyers show up to stink up the show from the get go. Rockin' Rebel is established as #1 contender for the World Title as decides he's gonna try to assault Sandman's manager Peaches. Sandman comes out to try and save her, but like and idiot he brought his surfboard so he gets smashed over the head with it. The production quality felt extra shitty this episode but thst might be from me watching other wrestling."

[4.0] "Probably the best episode of the first set of tapings. This isn't because of the matches because most of them are forgettable at best. The enjoyment of the episode comes from the fact that the Terry/Gilbert feud finally getting fully started. Also, the start of the Sandman/Rockin Rebel feud was handheld pretty well but they would have been better off using something besides a foam surfboard."

Eddie Gilbert attacked Terry funk and Funk hit him with a chair of his own later in the show. Also, Rockin' Rebel Sexually harassed Peaches, then hit Sandman with his surfboard lol."

"Glen Osbourne vs. Jimmy Snuka w. Hunter Q Robbins: (April 23, ’93) The face champ, a Joel Goodheart holdover, has quite the face Shane Douglas vocal presentation and voice. Snuka’s gone heel, the newest member of Dark Side Incorporated. In a pre-match interview he eats a plum, and then spits it all out in our face. Pre-match, Snuka demands the title now so he can save Osbourne a beating. There are lots of kids in the crowd (from Gordon’s children w/ physical handicaps charity? ) chanting something indecipherable. Commentator J Sulli briefly forgot a wrestling announcer’s rule in that as the legend Jimmy Snuka is a heel, he can’t be lowering the prospects of Snuka’s face opponent. After some average action Osbourne shoulder-tackles ref Hennigan, Osbourne powerslams and pins Snuka, but no ref. Osbourne ducks towards the SE corner when simultaneously a new ref sneaks in from the N allowing a clever Snuka to come-from-behind and roll-bridge Osbourne for the pin and there’s a new TV cha…not so fast, Hennigan has DQ’d Snuka. For what? Well, maybe for the post-match beating Snuka lays on both ref and the Kiss-painted Osbourne."
