[3.0] "This show is much better than the last one. It's still bad, but the quality of the matches has improved noticeably. Glen Osbourne vs Johnny Hot Body is a really good one"
[2.0] "Marginally better than episode one, which is an extremely low bar to clear. Osbourne vs. Hot Body is actually a passable match, which makes it better than most of what we have seen. Still a pretty damn poor show."
[4.0] "Not as historically significant as episode one but easily the better show. Johnny Hot Body vs Glen Osbourne is good wrestling television. Let's pretend it's 1993 and I'm watching this for the first time (i AM watching for the first time but it's 2025): this would hook me for the rest of the show and tuned in for next week easily. You can win me over easy: solid, satisfying bell to bell action. The tag match that follows is much less convincing. The championship match had this strange aroma of C-grade early 90's camp trash late night American cable tv colliding with dingy late 70's/early 80's territory wrestling. Yes, specific. This is kind of intense in terms of sensory intake, it has layers. The work in this match is hideous by the way. The Gilbert/Smith match was an advancement of the story arc and every territory needs a Super Ninja."
[3.0] "Despite the absolute terrible match between Sandman and Kodiak Bear, this episode is definitely an upgrade to the inaugural show. The two tournament matches were decent and the tag match between Winters & Stetson against Michaels & Samoan Warrior was okay. This is still not good, but this episode was more watchable than the previous show."
[2.0] "At the end of the first episode Terry Funk inadvertently admitted how crap it was by promising it would get better. But the second episode is not much of an improvement. It's still cheesily produced with some god-awful commentary and promos. A far cry from what it becomes."
[3.0] "The second episode of ECW Hardcore TV is definitely a step in the right direction after the shitty debut episode. Match of the night is Glen Osborne vs. Johnny Hot Body. Everything past that dips in quality as the show progresses."
[4.0] "The product was a bit better overall, less garbage promos. There was about an even mix of good matches and bad matches, and I'm mad that Cairo v Ninja got stopped for DQ because it was looking like one of the best. Still not really anything worth going out of your way to watch, but we're getting into actually watchable matches."
[5.0] "A totally average TV show. The best matches are Glen Osbourne VS Johnny Hot Body and Larry Winters & Tony Stetson VS Samoan Warrior & Chris Michaels."
[3.0] "Slight improvement over the first episode, mainly thanks to 2 fairly solid tournament matches. Everything else was kinda meh, and the ECW title match was horrendously terrible. Definitely not good, but the best episode out of the 2 that I've seen so far."
[4.0] "I liked this episode more than the first, but this still wasn't all that good. I think the in-ring work was (mostly) better in this episode. The main attraction story of what's brewing between Eddie Gilbert and Terry Funk took a step down in my opinion; Funk is the best part of these shows so far but I found Gilbert more annoying/grating than anything here; I didn't like him channeling a spoiled brat near the start of the show. Gilbert's match wasn't great either. Sandman hurt my eyes on this show; in more ways than one. Tommy Cairo continued to be decent even though he was facing a ninja here."
[4.0] "Die Show beginnt wieder mit einer verbalen Rangelei zwischen Funk und Gilbert, bevor es zum soliden Opener kommt, in den Tommy Cairo eingreift (**). Mir gefällt das Tag Match mit den dominierenden Siegern aber etwas besser (**1/2). Danach kommt es zum Brawl mit den Tag Team Champions. Das Heavyweight Title Match ist vor allem dank dem Kodiak Bear schwach (*). Im nächsten Tunier- Match gibt es erstmals einen Outside Brawl, bei dem Smith den Kürzeren zieht (**1/2). Vom Main Event fehlt der Anfang, aber der wird ähnlich belanglos gewesen sein wie der Rest des Matches, nachdem sich Hotbody an Cairo rächt und sich zum Eingang brawlt (*). Insgesamt besser als die Debüt- Ausgabe mit ein paar recht ansehnlichen Matches und Storyentwicklungen mit ordentlich Luft nach oben vor allem am Kommentar, bei der Präsentation und bei den doch noch sehr zurückhaltenden Fans."
[4.0] "This show as a whole is nothing to write home about. It is more enjoyable than the first episode though and that is in thanks to the Eddie Gilbert/JT Smith match. It is the best match that ECW has had on the actual TV show up to this point and is a fun TV wrestling match."
[3.0] "Noch immer nicht das, wodurch die ECW später berühmt wurde. Aber trotzdem ganz okay, vorallem der Sandman als Surfer ist echt anders. Aber naja, freu mich trotzdem schon, was noch so kommen wird."

[3.0] "Ich finde es ist eine leichte Steigerung zur vorherigen Ausgabe zu bemerken, auch wenn alles an einem Tag aufgezeichnet wurde. Die Matches waren alle solide, nur das letzte sehr kurze Match hätte man sich meiner Meinung nach schenken können. Davon ab eine durchaus stimmige TV-Show. Notiz am Rande: Der legendäre ECW-Fan "Hat Guy" war damals schon vor Ort!"
[3.0] "Eastern Championship Wrestling on SportsChannel Philadelphia #2 startet mit dem TV-Title-Tournament-Match zwischen den Philadelphia-Locals Glen Osbourne und Johnny Hot Body. In Teilen ein etwas wildes Mitch und Cairo mischt auch noch mit. Glen Osbourne brüllt nach dem Match noch eine Promo in Funks Mikro. Das Tag-Match ist irgendwie okay, aber auch ok als es vorbei ist. Sandman mit einer wilden Performance. Merkwürdiges Match, unwürdig, dass es dabei um den Gürtel ging. Eddie Gilbert ist auch Teil des ECW TV-Title Turniers und schlägt einen ambitionierten JT Smith. „Match joined in Progress“ gibt’s dann noch beim „Main Event“ zwischen Super Ninja und Tommy Cairo. Viel verpasst hat man da wohl nicht. Fühlt sich alles recht stimmig an, aber eben auf überschaubarem Niveau."
"The Kodiak Bear w/ the Crazy Commander vs. The Sandman w/ Peaches (champ): Now everyone remembers ‘Surfer U. S. A. , ’ our beloved surfboard-carrying babyface Sandman, right? If he ever makes fun of ‘The Dynamic Dudes…’ Well, at least he had a female valet. Even in ’92 The Sandman’s messing up spots.. leapfrogging himself to the edge of the N ring where he loses his balance and falls to the floor. The Rockin’ Rebel attacks The Sandman as he was battling w/ the heel manager on the outside of the S ropes. The Bear throws the beat-up Sandman in the ring but unwisely isn’t going for a big maneuver, as they should have played more on The Rebel’s interference. Obviously ‘a Bear’ has to work-in a long Bearhug submission. Nice martial-arts thrust kick out-> into the ring from the NE ropes by Sandman and he follows that up w/ a poor missle dropkick from the NE to get the pin. The clod commentator J Sculi “…and we got a (long pause) a successful championship defense…’ Post-match Rebel attacks The Sandman in the locker room."
[3.0] "Sandman gegen Kodiak Bear ist fürchterlich, Osbourne-Hotbody ganz ansehnlich, Gilbert-Smith zu kurz. Klare Steigerung zur Vorwoche mit 'ner Menge Luft nach oben. Es fällt schwer, Funk böse zu sein, aber in seiner Doppelrolle als Kommentator und Interviewer ist er fehlbesetzt. Zu viele Phrasen am Pult, dazu weiß er plötzlich nicht einmal mehr, um was es im (Television Championship) Turnier überhaupt geht."
[3.0] "Zu Beginn geht die Fehde zw. Funk & Gilbert weiter. Dies ist zugleich auch schon das beste an der Sendung. Keines der Matches war auch irgendwie unterhaltsam. Im TT Match wird einfach irgendwer gepinnt. Zudem fand ich das Surfer Gimmick vom Sadman auch nicht passend. Irgendwie eine billige Sting Kopie nur ohne Facepaint. Auch die meisten Charaktere sind für mich farblos und können nicht begeistern. Eine Spur besser als die erste Ausgabe."
[4.0] "Am Anfang geht die Funk-Gilbert Fehde weiter, bevor Osbourne und Hot Body das bis dato beste TV Match haben (ohne das es jetzt große Konkurrenz gegeben hätte), 6/10. Das Tag Team Match ist nichts besonderes, aber nicht schlimm, 4/10. Sandman und der Bear zunächst schrecklich, die letzte Minute ist allerdings cool, Missile Dropkick, Springboard Cross Body, hätte ich vom Sandman nicht erwartet, 3/10. Gilberts Dominanz lässt ihn definitiv als glaubwürdigen TV Champion wirken, Titelfavorit bis dato, 4/10. Cairo und Ninja sieht man nicht lange, aber Cairo wirkt cool. Danach ein wilder Brawl und die Sendung geht Off-Air, keine schlechte Ausgabe, auf dem gleichen Level wie Show Nummer 1, auf die dritte bin ich jetzt gespannt, 4 Punkte."
[2.0] "Keine besondere Steigerung zur Vorwoche, immerhin ist hier ein Hauch von Fehdenbildung zu erkennen, dafür gibt es auch einen Punkt mehr. Achja: Wer kam eigentlich auf die völlig beknackte Idee dem Sandman ein Surfer-Gimmick zu verpassen ? Nicht nur in Anbetracht seiner zukünftigen Charakterentwicklung eine völlige Fehlbesetzung!"
