The main event was lackluster and the only match you should go out of your way to see is the Revival vs DIY 1 but other than that this was a pretty mid PPV and could probably be skipped over if you are planning on rewatching all the TakeOvers. I'm not saying this is unwatchable car crash PPV, I'm saying it's disappointing. However, one thing I gotta say is the DIY match was amazing and you should definitely go out of your way to watch that one. Other than that, theres really nothing special here. |

The match that stole the show had to be the Revival vs DIY match, even though I think Ciampa's best work is as a solo heel, him and Gargano are just so good together that its hard for them to ever have a bad match, but this rivalry of theirs with The Revival creates numerous 10/10 matches. Bayley vs Asuka was great, little sloppy at times but in my opinion a better match than the Iron Women Match with Sasha, Shinsuke and Joe putting on a fantastic main event full of hard hits and close calls, overall a solid PPV, 8/10 |

Auflage von NXT Takeover Brooklyn beginnt mit einem absolut schlechten Match zwischen Austin Aries und No Way José, was man absolut nicht gesehen haben muss. Da kann leider ein A-Double auch nix mehr retten und besser machen. Das Comeback von KENTA (Hideo Itami) ist dann natürlich stark gemacht und endlich kann er seinen lang erwartenden GTS zeigen. Ember Moon holt sich bei einem Takeover, ein Squash Match Win. Brauche ich jetzt auch nicht unbedingt. Bobby Roode vs. Andrade Cien Almas war dann für mich der wirkliche Opener dieser Show und konnte mich voll und ganz unterhalten. Das Bobby Roode hier den Sieg einfährt war natürlich zu erwarten. Beide konnten ein gutes Match auf die Beine Stellen (***1/2). Und dann kommt für mich ein's der besten Tag Team Matches (Noch bis heute & in den letzten 10 - 15 Jahren) die ich je gesehen habe! Was eine Match Physik und vorallem was für Momente man einfach hier kreiert hat. In der einen Sequenz wo der Ref den 3-Count durchgezogen hatte, dachte ich damals echt Gargano & Ciampa wären neue Champions, aber wie man das alles aufgebaut hat war einfach fantastisch. Vorallem wenn man bedenkt das hier die Karrieren von Gargano & Ciampa erst bei der WWE angefangen haben. Da wusste man eben noch nicht, was aus den beiden noch werden sollte. Einfach ein absolut starkes Tag Team Match und für mich knapp kein 5 Sterne (****3/4). Asuka vs. Bayley war dann für mich nicht so stark wie es hier wegkommt. Beide können definitiv mehr und es war leider meines Erachtens nach etwas langweilig in manchen Phasen. Die Anfangsphase & die Schlussphase waren das beste an diesem Match, aber zwischen drin hat es leider etwas an Intensität gefehlt (***1/4). Samoa Joe vs. Shinsuke Nakamura war dann ein einfach Guter Main Event. Der Titelwechsel geht klar und mit Nakamura hat man wirklich jemanden der jeden Stil fahren Kann (****). Insgesamt war es Ein Solider Takeover Event. Ich merke momentan, da ich mir jedes Takeover versuche nochmal anzuschauen, dass die meisten Show's heutzutage, garnicht mehr so stark sind, wie man sie damals in Erinnerung gehabt hat. Das fing halt alles mit NXT wirklich so im Jahre 2018 An. Wie gesagt: Da fand ich den Event hier leider nur Solide. |

Ember had a solid debut by showing most of her impressive move-set against the low leveled Billie. Andrade gave another breakout showing at TakeOver against the debuting Bobby Roode who merely broke a sweat after El Idolo's blistering replies at many occasions. Revival & DIY built the foundation for WWE's reincarnation to tag team wrestling to its best form since the Ruthless Aggression era in my opinion. Both teams went to a killer war vouching for the tag team throne of the Black & Gold brand. Asuka & Bayley fought in Round 2 of their string of matches and it was extremely great. Bayley had an edge and displayed it at pivotal moments for Asuka to unleash the demonic ego of hers and prevail victorious. The main event was a strong attempt of a differently handled NXT title bout which was a success at the end. This is a great follow-up to the previous TakeOver at Brooklyn as well as the preceding TakeOver where all matches served its purpose right and the booking calls felt near perfect. |

Das Debüt von Moon wirkte hier irgendwie fehl am Platz. Ab dann ging's aber richtig los mit der Show! Bobby Roode reist schon mit seinem Hammer Einzug die Halle Ab. Und das Match ist dann auch noch richtig unterhaltend (***1/4). NXT Tag Team Titel Match 100% Match of the Night. Was für eine Intensität und vorallem was für eine Spannung! Hammer Tag Team Match (****1/4). NXT Women's Title Match war gut. Zum Abschluss von Bayley's NXT Run richtig stark (****). Main Event hatte ich mir etwas mehr von gewünscht. Aber gut war es Aufjedenfall! (****). Fazit: Eine Gute NXT Takeover Show. |

Nothing special and memorable at all. The tag title match without a doubt was MOTN. Great storytelling, old school psychology from both teams with invested crowd. The women title match was very good, too. Post match was great when crowd said goodbye to their special girl. ME was quite let down. I expected more but this was another decent match. Shinsuke was pretty robotic here and he almost no sold anything from Joe. Joe was good as always, but this match didn't click to me. Overall, 2 matches really carried this show. Not the best takeover but still outclassed MR PPV at the same weekend. |

Return von Hideo natürlich super toll inszeniert. Moon kriegt ein schönen Squash als Show-case und zeigt ihr Können. Roode/Almas hat an sich ein Paar sehr nette Moves, vor allem von Almas, kriegt einen aber irgendwie nicht richtig investiert. Trotzdem ungefähr auf Level des Openers, etwas drüber (**¾). Revival/DIY war von vorne bis hinten einfach grandios und fantastisch. Wunderbarer Charakter Display, dazu schöne Hot Tags mit fantastischer Aktionsdichte. Insgesamt grandioses Match (****½ + MOTN). Asuka/Bayley schleppt sich ein wenig. Ist sicherlich nicht das, was man sich erwartet hatte, doch immerhin solide. ME etwas enttäuschend, vor allem gegen Anfang recht träge, ansonsten mangelt's den beiden ein wenig an Chemie, trotzdem ein solides Ding mit gutem Feel-Good Moment (***¼). Insgesamt macht das: 7. 17/10 |

Überragend der Einzug von Glorious Bobby Roode und für mich dann schon das MOTN mit Revival vs. Gargano und Ciampa. Natürlich konnten auch Bayley vs. Asuka und Nakamura vs. Joe überzeugen. |
