[5.0] "We're back at the Stoke Garden albeit in a smaller tent. Max Beesley brings us up to date: John Quinn has "fled the country with the heavyweight belt" hope he's going to try sell it on pawn stars, Mal Sanders is appealing a dodgy decision, Brian Maxine is also appealing but Beesley is more confident about his chances, Rocco is making Cullen prove he's worth of a title match and Vince Miller has been recovering from being attacked with Mitzie Mullers crockery.... also, in the very next segment, Miller is fine and interviews Jim Breaks, who looks like a golf club shop has thrown up on him, Breaks claim Johnny Saint is hiding from him and missed a show in Blackpool. Blondie Barrett, accompanied by a couple of ladies in lingerie for reason, against Johnny Kidd. Frank Casey is back, so expect dodgy referring, and in a bold choice of set design, the audience is behind the hard cam, and we can just see the ring announcer stood under a massive umbrella, next to the cashier in a glass booth, shades of Russo/Goldberg. Modified patagonian nose hold with the feet by Kidd, not seen that before. Decent Mountevans style wrestling from Kidd and Barrett doing all the heel tricks, but it's a tough crowd to impress. Kidd wins after taking a tremendous beating in the 3rd fall. The match could have been a tad shorter. Max Beesley tells Pat Barrett that the viewers were upset with his attack on Sandy Scott, I can't imagine they were happy with his fake american accent either, yet again another poor promo from Pat Barrett. I wish they'd stop putting blondie and Pat Barrett in back to back segments. Vince Miller interviews Chic Cullen and Legendary Lonnie. Cullen isn't great at promos, so it's a great idea to give him a manager. Unfortunately, Lonnie isn't great at promos either. Jim Brakes vs. Max Hunter, this match would have felt at home on World of Sport, even getting a few standard patagonian nose holds! Commentary say Hunter has only recently turned pro, but you can't tell. He even pulls out a Les Kellett pendulum headbutt. Decent match. Vince Miller interviews Dave Taylor, who's only worried about Pat Barrett's sleeper hold if he's in it. Max Beesley interviews Johnn Saint, who's jumping up two divisions as he wants to be the first ever simultaneous lightweight and middleweight champion. Max and Vince are sat in the garden while we get a southwest championship wrestling highlight package of Jonathan Boyd, worrying these are the best promos on the show so far, always bizzare seeing the Sheephearders knowing the bushwackers are in their future. Decent advert for southwest championship wrestling, but I doubt anyone in the UK could watch it in 1986. Max and Vince go through the mail bag Joan Tyson from Newcastle under Lyme says she enjoyed seeing the wrestling live at the Stoke Garden Festival last month, she must have been the only one the crowd was dead, and for reasons we get a replay of the battle royal from the last episode. Vince has had a lot of get well soon letter, saying he should press police charges, Vjnce says this is a business for men, not a scout jamboree, and Max's comments have not aged well. We get more extended highlights. Vince says the board of control are trying to get the belt back off John Quinn. Computer rankings! John Quinn is ranked number 2 despite leaving the company. Blondie Barrett introduces his valets Pamela and Beverly, Pamela steals Vince's tie. Legendary Lonnie promo, which due the vhs tape cut off, is lost. We get a sped up JCP highlight package to the William Tell Overture. I think this is the 3rd time we've had this on satellite wrestling. Another Pat Barrett promo "when the Eagle flies away, the pigeons and sparrows fly in." he's no Eric Cantona. Pat Barrett is no longer doing the sleeper as it's band but he has a new move that looks the same and has the same effect wink wink. Max takes us through the win loss record of Cullen and Johnny Saint, an excellent technical wrestling match. Max Beesley discusses Mal Sanders and Brian Maxine's appeals with highlights from the previous episode. Vince Miller hypes Pat Barrett vs. Dave Taylor with hype package. Dave Taylor comes out to Blockbuster by Sweet, we get out 3rd uninspiring Pat Barrett promo of the night. Barrett cheats with the sleeper hold, We get a 4th Barrett promo, which is a shame cause he's the worst thing about this show, and he's all over it. No hook at the end of the show. A couple of really good matches on this show which saves it from a below average rating but a lot of the show felt like it was filler 2 hours of content which with ads would have probably been more like 2.5 hours felt like a slog at times."
