[3.0] "Well, Scorpio & Bagwell continue to be courted with the simplest of tasks, which makes the show start rather uninspiring. Ron Simmons is back and, overcome with joy, demolishes the already stiff-hipped jobber Sam Cody. Regal doesn't break a sweat either. Meanwhile, WCW has discovered Maxx Payne's guitar skills and has him perform 'Norma Jean' for us. I can't quite figure out what this is doing here at this length. Flair & Anderson announce big things for next week, while the blondes march on without a hitch. It continues with yawn-inducingly boring squashes for Van Hammer and Rick Rude. At least the latter is still extremely pissed off about the belt being revoked due to injury. The following match is a recording of the WCW tour through England, and whoever was responsible for booking in the WWF in 1995 should have watched this weak performance before IYH 'Great White North'. What the Hitman built for the Bulldog in 1992 at Wembley is completely destroyed by this match in Manchester, which lacks atmosphere and quality. A young RVD is still too green for Mr. Wonderful, which seems to be just about the right decision. And so another tiresome show is in the books."

[3.0] "Even with some better wrestlers in action this week, WCW Saturday Night continues to feel like a pretty worthless show since SuperBrawl. There is so very little happening right now. Flair's return has been incredibly slow paced and repetitive, and the matches on this show are largely meaningless. Davey Boy and Vader's feud has some potential on paper, but the reality was that Davey Boy simply did not look up to the task by this stage in his career. His match with Vinnie Vegas on this show was painfully slow paced and extremely boring. Orndorff vs. RVD is easily the highlight of the show, and that's largely just for the novelty value of such a strange pairing more than anything that actually happens in between the ropes. Other than that, this show is about as uneventful as it gets."

[4.0] "For the all ups that WCW had going for it (Scorpio/Bagwell, the Blonds, main event Rick Rude), they have to counteract it with the bad (Van Hammer push, Maxx Payne music video, no real direction for anyone). It is interesting seeing young, bland versions of RVD, Regal and Mitch Bell (who would go on the be Mitch Ryder of CHIKARA fame). The Blonds didn't need to go that long for the squash and the Bulldog/Vegas match was pretty meh. An adequate show for the time with nothing really that stands out."

[4.0] "The Hollywood Blondes are consistent highlight for me on these shows, and even in what was a relatively prolonged squash, I felt about the same. Everything else was rather mid or just a plain squash. Wasn't too into the Davey Boy/Vegas match. They're also continuing to set up whatever Flair and Anderson are going to be doing."
