[9.0] "What a show. 3 matches that'll make any MOTY list from 2015, and some solid fun involving the Bullet Club top to bottom. Yano/Tana is the only match that missed for me, and the IWGP Tag Team Championship match was just ok. Everything else was either good or great. I don't want to call this peak NJPW, but I'd be damned if they hadn't already started the climb."

[10.0] "This was the show that got me into NJPW and for good reason, it's absolutely incredible. Opener was fun ***3/4. BC tag was actually a really nice match for it's spot. Progressed Naito's new LIJ character and got Honma more shine as the underdog babyface ***. Shibata/Sakuraba is incredible. Fast moving hard hitting action. In just the 3rd match this card picks up heavily. One of my favorite Shibata matches ****1/2. Omega/KUSHIDA is a Jr classic with fantastic limb work and action. The match that made me an Omega fan and showed why he'd end up as one of the best ever ****3/4. Makabe/Ishii is another really good match to keep the card moving ***3/4. Tag Title match was the one low point on the show **1/4. Tanahashi/Yano was a fun addition to their feud ***1/4. Goto/Nakamura was a fantastic match with a super hot finishing stretch ****1/2. Okada/Styles has nothing left to be said. Absolute classic with one of the best ending sequences ever ****3/4. One of the greatest events ever"

[10.0] "The best and my favorite New Japan event. An all star card filled with excellent matches from KUSHIDA vs Omega, Nakamura vs Goto, Shibata vs Sakuraba, and Styles vs Okada. A must watch for any New Japan fan and anyone who wanted to start watching New Japan in general."

[10.0] "An almost perfect event. The only match I didn't like was Bullet Club vs Kingdom, the rest is great. So many enjoyable matches, a couple of great title changes. KUSHIDA finally beats Kenny Omega in a good match. AJ Styles vs Okada delivers a must-see match. Nakamura vs Hirooki Goto is another really good match. Makabe vs Ishii is solid, also Shibata vs Sakuraba is good. I really like this Dominion event."

[8.0] "I'm a massive NJPW fan but even I think this show is overrated. With that being said, it's NEW JAPAN, so of course even an overrated show is still going to ultimately be a great show. The opening junior tag match was pretty good. Terribly structured with constant spots, but the chemistry and creativity of said spots certainly made up for it. ***1/2. Naito & Honma vs Fale & Yujiro is notable only for being the first major show appearance of Naito's LIJ persona. Naito was still technically impressive but extremely heelish, doing well to establish his revolutionary character. Match was forgettable otherwise. **1/2. Shibata vs Sakuraba was a great MMA-centric match. Quite short but very exciting with plenty of impressive strikes and grappling sequences, plus great energy from both men. ***3/4-****. Omega vs Kushida was a very close MOTN. Great aggressive heel work from Omega as he humiliated Kushida. Nice dual limb work and some very exciting exchanges. ****. Makabe vs Ishii was another basic but solid strong style match. Just strikes and strikes and strikes. Very fun. ***3/4. The show definitely nose-dived at this point at we got two totally poorly placed matches that should have been on the undercard. Gallows & Anderson vs The Kingdom had fine work but zero interest from the crowd because the wrestlers were just bland gaijin. No heat at all. **1/4. Tanahashi vs Yano was actually quite amusing. Yano used his dastardly but intelligent tactics to get many near falls before Tana put him away. **3/4. Goto vs Nakamura was a bit too reliant on the Dontaku match but still had some very cool exchanges and nice energy from Goto. ***3/4. AJ vs Okada was MOTN. A bit slow at times but with fantastic babyface work from Okada and some very convincing heel work from AJ too. Very strong chemistry between the two, and of course that finishing stretch was legendary. ****"

[10.0] "One of the most consistently amazing nights in NJPW with a card organized well, with some primer matches here and there (some of which delivered in their own right, like the pre-show 5 v 5, which was better then usual (*** 1/4) and the Honma/Naito vs Bullet Club (Fale/Takahashi) which I enjoyed simply because this was early stage 'tranquilo' Naito and his persona really added a lot to an otherwise average match. The man was outright hated by the audience at this point, but hey it was getting him a better reaction then before (***). Even the worst match was watchable (The Kingdom vs Bullet Club (Gallows/Anderson)), though with that one I really have no clue how Kingdom wasn't disqualified when Kanellis, who wasn't even a part of the match, gave a low blow right in front of the refs eyes. I understand Tiger Hattori's gimmick is hes supposed to be kind of blind but this is ridiculous (** 1/4, almost better then the Young Bucks match). Yano vs Tana-san was better then some might give it credit for, but I'm a mark for Yanos schtick and Tanahashi is a master (*** 1/2). It was just an excellent show from top to bottom, with the main event capping off everything wonderfully."

[10.0] "Amazing show, no bad matches and several great matches and 2 amazing matches at the end of the card. There was some average matches such as the Junior tag title match and the following match Naito/Honma vs Bullet Club, Tag Title Match and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Toru Yano . The only match I didn't like was the opener but it was short and served its purpose so i'm fine with it. All the other matches ranged from great to incredible and the main event in my opinion was MOTN at *****. Well worth a watch."

[10.0] "2nd best show of the year in wrestling, behind WK9, but ahead of PWG's dont sweat the technique. A sold out show in osaka with a terrific crowd, and many classic matches. (Disregard pre show tag, if youve seen one, youve seen them all. ) - opening tag was standard fair for these 3 great teams. ***1/2 - honma naito dynamic was great, with naito as the cocky, then apathetic dick actually interesting me for the first time in a while. Crowd ate this up. The match was 2nd fiddle to the story. - crazy shibata vs sakuraba match with brutal submission work. Shibata's facials were wonderful as was his rope escape using his teeth. Crowd was molten. ****1/2 Only thing stopping this from being an all time classic was a lack of crazy strikes. - kushida vs omega was very entertaining and yet a great scientific match. Kenny's best all round performance in NJPW. ****1/4 and really elevated by a great finishing stretch. - heavyweight tag was the only blemish on the card. Very skippable and tacky with the maria stuff. - yano vs tanahashi was great light hearted match. I cried with laughter when both wrestlers were selling the groin injuries for about 20 seconds simultaneously. A good end the feud and just what it should have been. ***1/4 for entertainment. - nakamura (with a badass ninja gear) vs goto was better than dontakus match. Slow build to awesome finish. ****1/2 with awesome nearfalls. - okada vs aj: the match we knew they could have. ****3/4 ALMOST a perfect show. 9. 6 /10 go watch it"

[9.0] "WHAT. A. SHOW! Packed to the BRIM with must-see matches. Goto-Nakamura, Sakuraba-Shibata and the main event are the absolute pinnacle of the bunch but there is nothing here not worth watching with your full, undivided attention. Yano-Tanahashi is also a treat if you love Yano's antics. Doesn't get a 10 because the Heavyweight Tag Title match fell sort of flat."
rematchreport101 wrote on 07.07.2015:
[8.0] "This was a fantastic show. The reasons it does not get a 10 are the heavyweight tag team match and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Toru Yano. Also, I believe Kenny Omega vs Kushida had a lot more potential. This show featured one of the best shoot fight style matches I've seen in a while between Katsuyori Shibara and Kasushi Sakuraba. We saw a complete war between Tomohiro Ishii and Togi Makabe for the NEVER title. The MOTN was the main event because of the title on the line adding meaning and the great counters. To sum it up, I'd recommend this show to anybody getting into puroresu."

[10.0] "I was almost apprehensive about giving the show a 10, but when I really thought about it, it definitely was the best all-round PPV of the year. I enjoyed Wrestle Kingdom quite a bit, but I think the match quality and the crazy crowd atmosphere here really made this one shine! Best matches, in my opinion, were the Junior Heavyweight and Heavyweight title matches. The ending to Styles v Okada was just insane!"

[10.0] "This was an absolutely amazing show overall, and I feel it just nudges out Wrestle Kingdom 9 for the show of the year. It was everything you want in a major show, a great crowd, great atmosphere, four outstanding matches, two of them MOTY contenders, a lot of other quality performances and some title changes to make it newsworthy. Bottom line, this is a must see event. Go watch it now."

[10.0] "One of the best shows I've ever seen. Every single match delivered ten fold. Even the matches that I wasn't expecting much from like Saku vs Shibata were amazing. And that double main event man, what a fantastic couple of matches. All the right guys went over too, Gedo and Jado deserve plenty of credit for this show"
